Pentagon

Kick, Kick, Kick.....

It was raining today. In the abandoned mansion of the starting village, a group of black robed men were kicking a black robed newbie player.

Kicking was classified as a 'physical touch phenomenon' and there was no damage to your opponent when you kick someone in the 'Pentagon'. Still, it hurt when kicked, so kicking became a common way to bully newbies.

After kicking the newbie for a while, one of the men who had a huge body with a clear moustache on his face came forward and swung his sword.

The newbie's health fell down and reached zero in a second. Just like that, he was killed. The penalty for dying, dropping down by a single level.

Ding!

Congratulations on getting killed.

You drop by a single level.

The robotic voice of the player system congratulated the newbie on getting killed.

The newbie turned his face and looked at his killers with cold eyes. Raising a 'single level' in 'Pentagon' took a whole year, but this young man who had just been killed did not mind it much.

He nonchalantly remembered each and every member here. Not that he wanted revenge, he was just remembering all the Npcs he had met in the 'Pentagon'. That's right, these black robed men were the original residents of the Pentagon.

'Pentagon' was the name of the planet that every human who turned sixteen had to move into. In fact, they would be forcefully teleported to 'Pentagon' if they resisted.

Fortunately, there was a player system that regards all humans from earth as 'players' and grants them endless lives, with a small penalty, of-course.

In Pentagon, the players and the humans(Npcs) were divided into five races according to their class and bloodline.

The Fire swordsman and magician.

The Water Swordsman and magician.

The Earth Swordsman and Magician.

The Light Swordsman and Magician.

The Darkness Swordsman and Magician.

Each race have their unique characteristics and were hostile with the other, making 'Pentagon' filled with chaos. Fortunately, the higher ranked players of each race formed Guilds and suppressed these fights to a small extent. No one wanted to fight without benefits.

Sky had turned sixteen yesterday and was transported to the Pentagon. He was newbie. He knew about the Pentagon's World Background since he was informed about it by the player system when he was transported, but the player system did not give him information about players, his fellow earthlings.

As soon as he was transported to the Pentagon, Sky was assigned the Darkness Swordsman and Magician Race based on his bloodline.

It was said that humans were descendants of the five dragons and that their race was determined from birth. It was just that on earth, there were no obvious differences between humans, but on Pentagon, every human was classified by the Player System so they were forced to accept that they were different.

Every thing seemed to be perfect at first, but the fact that Sky was the only Darkness Swordsman and Magician from earth, in other words the only Darkness player from earth was depressing as well as scary.

It seems like the descendants of the Black Dragon were annihilated from earth, and his family might just be the last remaining descendants of the Black Dragon.

The reason Sky was killed was simple. Yesterday, the day he had put his foot in Pentagon, he had offended the third son of the village chief. The third son had a short temper as he ordered his subordinates to torture Sky before killing him.

All of the third son's subordinates were level two. Level two humans were stronger than level one humans by a hundred times. So they had easily overwhelmed Sky with their group and had killed him in the abandoned mansion.

....

A black light rose up on the altar in the middle of the Darkness village. A human could be seen as walking out of this light. This human had a face that could sway beauties, had a physique that would envy males, had eyes that were nonchalant about the world, lastly had an aura that was unrestrained.

This human was Sky. He had revived after dying. He walked down the altar and looked at the humans before him. He put up a smile as he asked these humans. "Are you going to kill me again?"

"Ha ha ha ha.. it's good that you know your situation. Yes! We are going to kill you once more." The burly man with the clear moustache, the one who had killed Sky, spoke with arrogance etched in his voice.

Sky took out his sword and his wand. Seeing this, the other humans laughed as if they were seeing the fool of the century.

"What is he doing by taking out a beginner sword and a beginner wand. Does he think that he can kill us. Ha ha, What a Fool! We are level two, even if we stay stationary you won't be able to kill us." They spoke and ridiculed him.

Sky sighed. It was true that he could not kill them. As a level one human, he could wave his sword a total of fifty times until his stamina reaches his limit. He could also use his wand only fifty times before he exhausts his mana.

Each slash from him can deal 1 damage to his opponents. But the health of a level two human was 500. Even if he could attack a level two human who had no defences, all Sky could deal was hundred damage before he becomes wasted.

Any other player would have been scared, as levelling up in Pentagon was too difficult. Losing a level meant an extra year spent on gaining the lost level. So they should have been scared, but not our Sky.

He walked towards the level two humans with a sword in his right hand and a wand in his left.

The fight started fast and ended even faster. Under these unfavourable conditions, Sky was still able to deal twenty damage to the burly man before he lost all of his stamina and fell motionless.

Rain was pouring down, drenching his exhausted body. The level two humans did not show mercy as they kicked him. The burly man took it a step higher as he stomped on Sky's head. Sky's body finally shook, he looked at the burly man with ferociousness. His eyes seemed to want to kill this man on their own.

This startled the burly man as he took a step back out of 'inexplicable' fear. It took two seconds before the burly man's expression turned ferocious as he kicked Sky's face hard.

This kick was so strong that blood flew out of Sky's nose. Yet, Sky's eyes seemed as ferocious as ever. The burly man smiled angrily as he bent down and caught Sky by his hair. "What the fuck is with your eyes huh! Why are you looking at me like that. You want to kill me! Huh! Do You Fucking Want To Kill Me? Let me see how you continue looking at me once I gouge out your eyes." He reached into Sky's eye sockets and forcefully plunged his fingers inside.

Sky's whole body shook as tears of blood flew out of his eyes. "AAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...." a scream that shook the hearts of the citizens of the Darkness Village rang out, it did not stop for a long time as it resounded throughout the Village. Sky had finally let out a scream in pain.

The burly man was emotionless as he gouged out both the eyeballs forcefully, severing the nerves that connected Sky's eyes to his mind. He then crushed the eyeballs and smeared it on Sky's screaming face.

The Burly man pulled Sky's hair and whispered in Sky's ears. "I might not be able to kill you, but I am able to do something worser. Don't think you are something just because you can't die."

"If you oppose my Young Master, all you will face is a life more torturous than death." He then dragged Sky through his hair and slammed Sky's head into the concrete floor of the village's altar.

Sky was screaming out of pain until now, but when his face was slammed into concrete, his mind finally went into an unconscious state to protect itself from excessive pain.

...

The first thing Sky felt after regaining his senses was weakness. He felt too weak. He was so weak that even his eyelids felt heavy. But there was no use in opening his eyelids, he had already lost his eyes, so he kept his eyelids shut.

He noticed that he wasn't able to move, he was probably tied up. Since there were no background sounds, he guessed that he was in a secluded space. The air smelt metal, and dust, so he guessed that he was in the abandoned mansion's store room.

After an whole hour of suffering in darkness, his eyes have regenerated with the help of the player system. Still, Sky did not open his eyelids to take a look at his surroundings. He concentrated on healing his pained mind.

It took him sometime but he eventually managed to soothe the pain in his brain. He used his little sister's image to calm down his painful state and gasped for air.

Thuck! Thuck! Thuck!

Footsteps that seemed to be moving towards him resounded as soon as he calmed down. In fact the timing was too perfect that it could not have been possible if Sky's enemies were not waiting for this moment.

As planned, the burly man, the head bodyguard of the third son of the village chief reached Sky just as Sky calmed down and started torturing him.

He first laughed as he once again plucked out Sky's eyeballs. He then continued and took out a clipper and forcefully pulled out Sky's nails, one by one.

He finished a total severing of Sky's five senses only leaving out his ear and mouth to let Sky listen and answer him. "Did you change your mind? Do you accept to become my young master's slave?" He smiled and asked Sky who was shouting out of pain and gloominess.

"Fuck you! I am going to fucking kill you." Sky had never felt so much pain as today. When these humans had killed him in the past, he let it go based on the fact that they were fools. But no longer, he would kill these bitches and take his revenge. He would personally torture the third son and make him regret his orders.

"He hee! You are already Level -1, it would take at least three years for you to reach my level even if you want to talk about revenge. It's not that I want to mock you, but you really are a fool driven by your emotions." The Burly man smiled as he placed a hammer on Sky's head. He then raised it high in air and slammed it hard on Sky's skull.

...

"Wake up! Hump! Puny descendant, your Progenitor is ordering you to wake up! Hump! How far have my descendants fallen." A majestic voice that could not have belonged to this world resounded in Sky's mind.

He slowly opened his eyes to find himself in endless darkness. His body did not have a single scratch on it, indicating that he had already revived. But the endless darkness before him confused Sky.

"Hump! Finally awake. Is this how you show your filiality to your Progenitor! Hump! Hump! If you weren't one my last two descendants, I would have destroyed you myself." Again, a voice that seemed to come from, out of this world, a voice so majestic that it rose a sense of reverence just from hearing it. A voice that carried endless might and conviction resounded in Sky's mind.

Sky looked around the surrounding darkness and frowned. There were no one in this space, this meant that the voice was being directly heard in his mind, Sky did not like this feeling.

As he was thinking, the Darkness around Sky started moving as it started to condense into a figure. It was illusionary in the start, but as time passed, the figure became more and more condensed.

By the time it totally condensed, Sky saw a figure that should have no longer existed. What he saw was a Dragon, a real, non illusionary Dragon. But Sky's eyes did not contain the reverence and shock that they should have contained.

"What are you?" Sky asked with cold eyes.

"Tch! You can't even identify your own progenitor. How low have my descendants fallen." The Dragon clicked his tongue as he spoke directly this time.

"Are saying that you are my progenitor?" Sky asked, his voice plain. He did not suspect the Dragon's words, but he neither believed them.

"Hump! Just this question alone would be enough reason for me to take your life. Hump! If not for the potential extermination of my race, do you think i would appear before a puny descendant like you?" The Black Dragon scoffed and crossed his arms over his chest. He seemed to be arrogant to the extreme.

"What do you need?" Sky did not care about the Dragon's words and questioned. Dragons were already extinct during the Chaotic Era, this Dragon before him was more like a Dragon's last consciousness. It was barley able to take form and talk to him.

"What do 'I' want?" The Black Dragon squinted his eyes and burst out laughing. "Ha ha! That was the funniest joke I have heard in my billion year lifespan. What do I want! He hee, It's not that I want something, it's you who want it." The Black Dragon pointed at Sky's chest and spoke.

Before Sky could even react to the Dagon's words, the Dragon waved his hands and his Dragon Heart floated out of his body. The heart then pierced into Sky and replaced Sky's own heart. This happened in an instant that took Sky to open his mouth, so he had no chance to stop it.

"Hump! I don't wish to linger around and explain everything to you, so I shall take my leave. Just remember that your life is very precious as you are the only male of my descendants." The Black Dragon dispersed with these words.

Before Sky could comprehend the meaning of the Dragon's words, he was already back in the reviving altar. Black Light fell upon him as Sky took a step out of it. As expected, Sky saw the Burly man, the head bodyguard of the third son waiting for him.

The burly man smiled evilly and showcased his rotten tooth, but Sky's attention was on something else.

As soon as he revived, a series of notifications rang in his mind.

[ Failing to activate the Black Dragon Descendent System would lead to Host's death.]

Sky's attention was on these messages. The Black Dragon not only left Sky his heart, but also a personalised Black Dragon Descendent System.

A whopping 2576 words long first chapter.

Would Appreciate some comments in my first chapter. As for power stones, give them if you have them free.

First off, it would be a System based novel, with Dragons as the main theme.

Second, good luck to myself.
