Asta was send for a trial, the nobles and royals thinks that he is the reason of the elfs attacking the kingdom since he is devil possessed. The final decision of the trial is execute him in a week, he was chained up in a jail before the execution... 3rd person P.O.V. :
Asta woke up and founds himself in a cell. He remembers that he was accused for the elf invasion and being devil-possessed.
Flashback
"Asta from the black bulls, you are going to be executed in a week for attacking the kingdom and being devil-possessed and they girls will be spared. This is our final decision." Said Damnatio.
Asta felt helpless but he have to do it to save Nero and Marie. "Fine. Just leave Nero, Marie and my family alone." Asta said in monotone. "Asta-san, please don't." "Wait Asta, there will be another way to prevent this." Nero and Marie tried to stop Asta. Asta stopped his pace, he didn't say anything but he smiled at them when the mages led him into the jail.
Flashback ends
Asta sighed as he sat up. His usual bright green eyes are lack of brightness and his smile disappeared *Hey* suddenly a deep and dark voice appears in Asta's head. "Who are you?" Asta asked *Kekeke~ You will find out as time goes by. But first you need to escape out of here* the voice replied him. "But how? I don't want the royals and nobles to hurt my friends and my family." Asta started sobbing *If you sacrifice yourself, do you think that they will not hurt them?* the voice said.
"I think they won't because I trust them." Asta said *You fool! You just blindly trust them by saying you think they won't hurt them* Asta trust started to waver "What should I do then?" He put both hands on his head. After awhile of dead silence, the voice spoke *I have an idea* the voice told him about its plan "I need to do that to protect them?!" Asta was shocked after listening to the voice's plan *Yes, you have to do that to protect them* said the voice.
"Fine, I will do anything to protect them." Asta said with determination *Alright kid, talk to you again in the execution date* the voice starting to fade "Okay" Asta said softly and he started to do his daily workout.

In the black bulls base, everyone is oddly quiet after hearing what happened to Asta from Nero. Everyone has no energy to do anything, the one who affected the most is Yami and Noelle. Yami sees Asta like his son and Noelle has major crush on Asta, plus he was the one who gave her confidence from the very start. Most of the time Noelle hides in her room and rarely comes out, the only time she comes out is when she goes to eat.
When everyone including Noelle is doing their own thing in hall in the afternoon, Yami suddenly told them about saving Asta during the day of his execution. Their hearts are filled with hope to save their short and cheerful friend.

*A few days later(basically a week later)*
"I will do anything to protect them even by killing the mages or even going against the whole kingdom" Asta said to himself softly after doing his workout. "Hey brat, it's time! Come out now!" A mage opened the door as Asta goes out from the cell.
The mage led him to the place for execution. When they are on the way to the place, they passed by a table is filled with paper and Asta's grimoire is on the table. Asta suddenly stop and spoke "You all accused the wrong person." Asta said as his grimoire started to glow and a figure that is surround with black mass appeared with demon dweller.
