27 chapter 27: The Leader
Gauche: [Mirror Magic: Mirror Brigade]
Flashing brightly many new Asat's appeared out of thin air. Rowan was still looking at Gauche's eyes but nothing happened, as he wondering about what Gauche was doing he again heard some information in his head.
"To use the celestial forces, you must be able to sense and use aura. Without aura ability you can't copy or replicate the celestial force."
Sally: what!?
The girl looked in amusement, many Asta was standing with their sword in their hands.
Gauch: 'Why didn't it worked on him, anyways' GO!
Asta: ON IT!
As he yelled the two of them launched themselves toward mud Baro and started to tor him apart.
Combining Asta's ability to nullify magic and The large amount of damage that Rowan caused the monster to expand it's mana reserve and allowed, Asta to deliver the final blow.
Gauche/ Asta/ Rowan: HELL YEAH!
They shouted in union as they saw the monster Baro fall to the ground.
While Rowan could have dealt with the monster himself he would have taken a considerable amount of time compared to him receiving help.
Sally: A-Amazing.. I want them... I really want them.
Asta grind at Rowan from distance, and Rowan gave him a thumbs up. His smile faltered in his helmet as a smaller looking Baro erupted from behind Asta.
Rowan: WATCH OUT!
Asta: Huh?
Asta turned around as his eyes go wide. Rowan was about to get in but suddenly Neige casted his spell and freeze him.
Neige: [Snow Magic: Snow Cry]
Rowan: You.. I would have sav-
Neige: I- lt's okay, m- me and my brother have as my brother have done terrible things.. and that thing wasn't my brother anymore.
while saying this he looked at his brother's lifeless body and then turned then turned his attention to Rowan who was standing on distance.
Neige: I- I'm a bad person and I know I've Done wrong...
Rowan: ...
Neige: we've committed a serious crime. This is.. one of the way I'll take responsibility I'll turn myself into the magic knight afterwords. Umm... After I've paid for my crime and have been released.. w- would you consider being my friend?
Rowan: We'll see...
He looked at Neige with consideration before saying.
Asta: Yeah! let's be buds! your magic is similar to Rowan's, You'll make a great Magic Knight! thanks for saving me!
Neige: Real-
*THUD*
Suddenly a bright light blinds everyone and Neige was suddenly taken out by a light shard.
Rowan: What the!
Looking in their direction, Neige was laying on the ground bleeding out while a large shard of light with four horizontal lines in it stuck out of his body.
Rowan Jumped back, a shard of light that would have impaled if he had been any slower.
Rowan: 'S- So fast!'
???: Oh, to think you'd actually be able to avoid my attack.
standing on top of the portal with Valtos behind him was a man with long white braided hair.
Rowan: It's you! You were the one attacked the wizard king that day.
???: look like I have yet to introduce myself, I'm Licht, leader of The Eye Of The Midnight Sun.
sally: Oh Master Licht, Valtos, you are here.
As the light died down a little Asta noticed his grimoire.
Asta: That grimoire... It's same as yuno and Rowan's...
Rowan: 'The leader of The Eye of The Midnignt Sun.'
Seeing licht sudden appearance Rowan prepared for any up coming attack.
Licht: Valtos, please take Sally and teleport her back to the base.
Valtos: Of course, Master Licht.
Then the Valtos formed a portal on the ground and gently laid Sally down on it.
Sally: Bye Rowan, Asta, I'll see you soon.
The girl waved as she fall completely into the portal.
Valtos: She said she was going to the old laboratory so I used spatial magic, but... I never dreamed this would happen.
licht: There's no need for you to feed responsibility, Valtos. They probably used some caravan tricks again. The strong's always the victim. The target of jealousy, fear, discrimination, persecution, and theft and so we will destroy them... and creat our own kingdom.
licht created dozens of light shards that surrounded him.
Asta: What's with the crazy mixed-up stuff you keep blabbering about!? you're the ones who started this fight jerk!
Licht's face darkened and he propelled a light shard toward Asta which stabbed his leg.
Asta: GYAAHHHHH!
Rowan: Asta! 'Dammit it's too fast.'
Licht: You're the ones who started this, so shut your filthy mouth. And.. why.. why does some one like you... have that grimoire!?
Asta: My grimoire!?
Seeing Licht was about to attack again. Rowan's mana exploded ot of his body and pushed Gauche and Neige back a bit as he charged at licht with his sword in front of him.
Licht: Hmm!?
Looking at Rowan who's charging at him with full speed Licht suddenly disappeared from his place.
Rowan sence of danger suddenly shot through the roof as Licht suddenly appeared behind him.
Asta: ROWAN!
Asta screamed as he saw Licht created an orb of light in his hand and aim it at Rowan's helmet.
Rowan: 'Too Fas-'
*SWASH*
slashing through the orb with his katana, Yami appeared from Finral's portal saving Rowan in process.
Yami: *TCH* Why is that every time you brat go somewhere together, something crazy has happen!?
Gauche: What for real!?
Asta: Captain Yami!? why are you here!?
Yami take a puff of his cigarette.
Yami: Why!? Well obviously..., I'm just lost could you give me some direction!?
Rowan: Captain Yami...
taking another puff out of his cigarette, Yami turn around to face Rowan.
Yami: You're... !?
Rowan: It's me Rowan, My sword has this ability to form an arm-
Before he can finish his words Yami grabbed him by his helmet.
Yami: Huh!? I know how you're!? Who do you think you're showing off, Your rusty armor to, huh!?
Rowan: Humm!?
turning back to look at licht, standing a bit away from him, Yami's eyebrows furrowed.
Yami: 'This guy's mana... why does it feels bottomless!?'
Asta: Captain Yami! How did you know that we need help??
he asked while running at their side.
Yami: What do you mean how did I know!? Obviously Noelle, called the Magic Knights headquarters and reported about a vast kidnapping incident. And since the Black Bulls were the closest Squad in the issue. Though I never would have guessed that you'd be facing someone so troublesome.
Valtos: Master Licht! Do you want me to get reinforcements?
Licht shook his head.
Licht: No! I'm quite interested in fighting against a dark magick user.
Valtos: Very well.
Asta: Hey Finral, can you get this guy some help, he got hit by that guy's light attack and I don't know how long he has.
He pointed at Neige.
Finral: O- of course! I'll make sure not to leave his side.
He stood straight and opened up a portal.
Yami: Hey Finral! You better come back.
Finral: 'I thought I'd just evacuate Casually like...'
Yami: I know your not planning on making me walk home right?
Finral: N- No! Of course not! It's just that I'm running low on mana at the moment coming back will be hard on me. That's for real, SIR!
Yami: What's for real, Huh? I'm for Real too.

Yami waved his katana blocked a light shard that almost got Finral for good.
Licht: ??
Yami: What're you doing to my ride huh..!?
Finral: ' His Ride...!' Okay Yami, I'm going on ahead.
he quickly jumped in the portal.
Yami: you'd better come back, loser!
As he said that he turned back to look at Rowan and Asta.
Yami: Hey brats! can you still fight?
Surprised by Yami's sudden question, both boys looked at each other before replying on union.
Rowan/ Asta: OF COURSE!
Yami: Heh, then make sure to watch closely.
Dark Magic burst out From Yami's blade as he walked towards Licht's direction.
