Finding a way out

I joined my hands and cased a spell for Secre and Kirin.

[Dark flame creation magic: Control Golem ]

This spell is what I call a masterpiece.

A small golem similar to the one in the Witch forest appeared near them. I took the model of the one from Witch Forest and used the concept of control structure like Black Bulls base.

The Golem was blood red in color and had wings to fly. This golem was made with advanced mana reinforcement so will not break easily.

The height of the Golem was near to my knees.

The golem took both Secre and butterfly Kirin inside him.

"The battle is going to take a while, till then this should keep you two safe.

I have given the control of the Golem to you Kirin, go search the area if there is any exit "

[Mana zone: Blaze shield ]

The spherical shield appeared around me as hundreds of attacks targeted me.

Boom!

The collective attack was enough to completely destroy my shield but it fulfilled its use which was to buy time.

[Mana zone: Great fire annihilation ]

An ocean of flames spurted out of my mouth covering the entire sky.

Blood curling screams reached my ears as the Dragons covered by my flames started to struggle. Ignoring the ones burning, the others began attacking me with their body clad with sharp wind magic.

Kagune emerged from my back condensing Orb of Chaos and using them as cannons to destroy the dragons.

Stabbing my dagger into one's head I kicked the other that came from below him. Mana strings came out of one of my Karune pulling some of the Dragons closer while the other Kagune condensed A giant orb of chaos to destroy them.

Boom!

The flair shield that I created out of instincts was shattered by the collective attack of multiple beasts. Tracing the path of mana using my Sharingan, I shot about fifty Arrow of Destiny creating holes in the heads of the dragon that attacked me.

All these were high-tier mana beasts so I have to give my everything or else I will be in trouble.

After dodging and destroying several wind attacks, I used my next series of spells.

[Mana zone: Flame Hurricane ]

This was the largest Hurricane I ever summoned using 20 % of my total mana reserves that dragged almost a hundred dragons into it just a few seconds after being summoned.

More screams echoed as the dragons made of mana started to get burned by red flames. One thing I noticed was that all the dragons had a similar attack pattern as if programmed after a single creature. So after a while of fighting, I completely got used to their attack pattern.

Going used to their attack pattern meant I could mostly dodge their attack but that does not mean the battle will end faster as these dragons have impressive defensive powers making only a few of my attacks one hit kill.

When I felt, the dragons were getting out of the large hurricane, I moved to the next step.

[Mana zone: Sea of Needles]

Red flames burned brighter every second burning away the mana that was their sole source of life while I absorbed the mana of the beasts near me to fill up my core.

Getting my flair wings charged with missiles and Kagune ready, I charged at the dragons for a long battle.

Kirin POV:

This golem is one of the most interesting magic Julian has. Just by thinking I can do things as if it was my own body.

Looking above I could see the sky getting covered with red flames as dragons bathed in red flames fall one by one and getting disintegrated into mana.

Ever since I got into the vicinity of the dungeon, I have gotten his ominous feeling but couldn't put my finger on the source.

It's been two hours since I have started my search for a doorway of some kind but still can't find anything.

I don't think killing the dragons is the right way to get to the next stage, Julian must have realized too.

Each time he kills a dragon, a new one emerges as one tree vanishes.

There are more than ten thousand trees in this dimension and taking down that many high-tier beasts is impossible for him. If those were real beasts with consciousness, mana pressure would have made it easier but since it's not the case, things are complicated.

Hang in there, Julian.

Da bump!

I heard a loud heartbeat from Secre who was in the same Golem.

I could see the shock in those eyes.

"What happened missy? "

"I just got a feeling that my magic resonated with something…. "

Unlike normal cases where the user dies after forbidden magic, I have never seen or heard of a case where the user becomes an animal.

Not knowing does not mean that chances are impossible. I can just touch the shell of forbidden magic.. magic that does not depend on the inherent magic attribute.

According to her story, she was a stone for almost 500 years which comes under one of the side effects but her getting out of the petrified stage is strange.

That aside, she could still use mana but only reinforcement magic to coat her body in it.

"If Magic as rare as your resonates with something here that means there is something here that was made using sealing magic or case of mana singularity. " I said to the bird giving her the control to move in that direction.

"Magic singularity? "

"In most cases, when two people have the same magic attribute, their spells and application are different as their type and laws vary too.

But there are extremely rare cases when two magic types exist that have the same spells, law, and type. "

After another twenty minutes of moving here and there, we reached the place where she felt the resonance.

It was among the low-height hills with very few leaves. It was the only tree that was not made of mana.

Using the strong hands of the Golem, I started to dig the ground near the roots and sure enough, there was another cave.

Secre had another wave of resonance which I sensed this time too.

More importantly, I could sense her mana increase a bit.

Generally, every animal has a limit on its mana which if exceeded can either cause an evolution in power or death due to mana overload.

Hope the second thing doesn't happen.

This entire space was devoid of mana except for this cave and what was more strange was that mana was not trying to sweep out of the hole I made.

"Let's go and see what is at the end "

As we went deeper into the cave, the torches on the wall started to light in blue fire illuminating the cave.

On the walls were various writing that I could not read properly. There were some scripts written in a language that I saw a spirit familiar with, which seemed like a prayer to God.

Wait, I remember….. it's the language of the Dragonoid race… a race that went extinct after the first cataclysm.

If this is their dungeon, the dragons outside make sense.

"Can you read what's written here? You seem engrossed in it " I asked Secre.

"I can read it…."

"You can ?!"

I was surprised to hear that.

"Sealing magic had a lot to do with words and language. When I had my grimoire, I could translate or read a language after looking at it for a while. Even though I don't have my grimoire now, I still have that skill

All the writing on the wall was from a book that I read in the Library of my master's.

It was a very long prayer to multiple Gods. "

Secre kept reading the text on the wall loud which felt like I was hearing someone pull out a very dangerous curse.

Every line she spoke increased her mana by a bit which she doesn't seem to realize.

As soon as she finished reading all the texts, I heard a loud thump sound.

Controlling the Golem increased my speed to reach the source of the sound and found a large metal door full of inscriptions slowly getting sunk into the ground giving us access to a circular platform made of the stone we came for.

As soon as we stepped our foot into the platform, it was illuminated in blue light and started to take us up.

Seems like it was a magic elevator.

On the walls of the path, I could see multiple paintings of Dragons and Dragonoid races.

Just like elves, these races had some features unique to them too.

Eyes like reptiles, a tail, big wings, hard scales all over their body, and large claws.

These races had very less mana pool as compared to other races but what made them special was their physical strength and intelligence.

Their creativity even surpassed humans and dwarves.

I have never seen a Dragonoid race member but heard about them from the spirits that existed in my time.

One of the reasons for their downfall was that they allied themselves with the Devils similar to other races like Goblins and Orcs.

Back to the current situation…

The elevator dropped us to a large chamber where I sensed a different ominous feeling.

The chamber was in the shape of a cylinder with its roof being dome-shaped.

But the most important thing was the large stone hand in the middle of the chamber.

The hand seemed like it belonged to a Dragonoid race member with large nails and thick scales.

At the center of the palm was a statue figure of a man whose eyes were covered by a piece of cloth.

He had wings on his back and scales on his body.

He had a stone grimoire floating in front of him that emitted a white light that reached the roof of the chamber.

"A Dragonoid race member.." I muttered.

"That is the figure which is releasing the same mana as me, " Secre said.

Floating on top of each finger of the giant hand were stone statues of different types of Dragons with their snapped to the other direction.

With the dragon on the index finger being the one with a straight head and green glowing eyes.

It was the same type of Dragon Julian was fighting outside.

Secre started speaking some words that seem to have started a series of events.

The light emitted from the Grimoire turned Green and made the roof transparent giving us a view of the fight that was going on outside.

The next thing that happened was the appearance of inscriptions all over the chamber.

Secre flew out of the Golem and looked around the area.

"I see some writings at the back of each Dragon….it describes a way to open a portal that will take us to the next chamber.

But we can't open it alone…Julian has to the important part.
