15 Dungeon Run.

Once Finral, Mordred, and Yami returned to the Black Bull's base after the meeting with the Wizard King, they immediately ran into the rest of the Black Bulls. They were all acting as usual as Mordred saw Magna on Asta's back while he did pushups.

At the same time, the entirety of the Black Bulls were arguing over the name they wanted to give to the weir bird that hung around Asta all the time. However, when Mordred got a look at it closely with her mana vision she saw a thin gathering of mana around the bird.

"Hey Asta."

"1,354, what is it?"

Mordred pointed at the bird. The bird began to sweat as she felt that her disguise has been seen through. Luckily for her, Mordred had not seen through her.

"That bird has been hanging around you a lot. I also saw that same bird at Hage Village."

Asta paused his pushups but kept a plank with Magna still on his back. The bird was currently resting on Asta's head, but she began to sweat even more when she saw Atlas lick his lips.

'IT WANTS TO EAT ME!'

Nero avoided Mordred like the plague as Atlas had tried to eat her on many occasions. Noelle got between Atlas and Nero before she got eaten.

"Hey, keep him away from her."

Mordred just scratched the chin of her pet. She was not ready to be calling him her son so she would just not think about it. Yami grunted as he covered his arm in darkness mana and smashed it into the wall behind him.

"PAY ATTENTION!"

All of the Black Bulls got in front of Yami on their knees as they waited for his instructions. Excluding Mordred and Finral so Yami cleared his voice. He was taking this with cutthroat seriousness as he had a big stake in this mission.

The treasure gained from it would for sure give him the means to pay off his debt. Or at the very least a large portion of it.

"Alright you idiots, pay attention."

Before that Mordred updated them on their new status. She also just wanted to mess with Yami.

"Good news everyone, I got rewarded 15 stars for my bandit hunting and uncovering a slave ring in the noble's circle. Those stuck-up bastards will be hurting, but that is not all. We got a mission directly from the Wizard King himself."

Asta shot up as if he just heard Sister Lily was in a bikini.

"FROM THE WIZARD KING!?"

Atlas covered his ears with his fuzzy paws while Mordred flinched. It was nearly impossible to get used to Asta's high-pitched screams. Yami took a puff of his cigarette as he looked at the loud shrimp.

"Strangely enough he asked for you kid."

He pointed at Asta who paused. He pointed at himself.

"ME! THE WIZARD KING ASKED ABOUT ME! AWESOME!"

Mordred sighed as she wished that she could mute him, but she had an idea.

"Did you find a weird old lady that looked like the one you bought the purple snake thing from?"

Asta, Noelle, and Venessa realized it then as they had seen that. Venessa rubbed the back of her head in confusion.

"You are saying that the Wizard King was that old lady?"

Mordred nodded.

"Yup, did you see him on your outing?"

Asta, Noelle, and Venessa thought back to the gambling old lady that Asta helped. That made them all take pause as they did not even notice that they had encountered the Wizard King. Asta looked at Mordred with awe in his eyes.

"What was he like? Was he strong? Was he tall?"

"He was very strong and weird. Imagine Yami, but instead of wanting to shit all the time he wants to learn about different kinds of magic."

Yami held her head and picked her up.

"Oi, you saying I want to shit all day?"

Mordred crossed her arms in midair as Atlas bit Yami's hand. Yami looked at his hand and noticed how sharp his teeth were. They pierced through his skin a tiny bit which made him flinch a bit.

"If you did not want to shit all day you would get some magical or herbal solution to that loose gut of yours. Might be an illness. You are quite old after all?"

The Black Bulls all tried to not laugh while Yami squeezed down tighter.

"I already told you brat, that I am 28."

"I belive you, if you double that number?"

Finral voiced his thoughts for real.

"Ok, for the love of it, is Mordred your daughter."

Yami scoffed at the idea as he put her down.

"Not possible. She has a dad."

"Yeah, my dad is hard to miss. Plus, Yami is too ugly to be my dad."

Magna rushed to Yami's defense.

"How can you say that about your own Captain? Look at Yami, the pinnacle of manliness."

Venessa held her cheek with a light blush which Mordred felt was more due to alcohol than being bashful.

"Yeah, he is."

Yami ignored those comments and continued with the important details.

"Here is the deal. There is a new dungeon located on the border of the Clover and Diamond Kingdom and some of you will be going to conquer it."

That made all of the Black Bulls excited even Asta who did not know what a dungeon was. Venessa drank some of her wine, but she still explained things to them.

"Dungeons are pretty much ancient tombs from long ago. They are usually full of danger and traps, but they also contain massive amounts of treasure. Dungeons in the past have changed history with the discoveries found inside. Lost magics, artifacts, or just the treasure so do your best."

Yami grinned as he clenched his hand.

"And we are getting the first pick. My debt will finally stop taking my paycheck."

Magna laughed alongside Yami.

"If we can use that to gamble we can triple no quadruple our earnings."

Yami and Magna both went to Lala land while Mordred looked at them like they were idiots.

"Oi, idiot father and son duo. This is the reason you are in debt, to begin with."

Magna and Yami paused as what Mordred said was true. Yami got out of his dream as he sighed.

"This time you are right."

Mordred rolled her eyes.

"Keep telling yourself that boss."

Luck looked at Yami with his crazy smile.

"So, who is going? Will we fight Diamond Mages?"

Yami thought about it and decided against sending Luck this time around. If Mordred was going he thought it was better than to send Luck.

"The Wizard King requested Mordred and Asta directly so I am sending two more. Charmy, Noelle, you two go."

Charmy perked up as she thought of all the yummy hidden things found inside.

"Will there be yummy things there?"

She was even drooling so Yami shrugged.

"I don't know. Go check and find out."

She saluted.

"On it."

Luck looked a tiny bit bothered by this so Yami gave him another mission.

"You and Magna go take on the other bandit groups that Mordred missed out on. Mordred, you still have that list?"

Mordred reached into her coat pocket and picked up the list of Bandit groups. of which she had taken out 16 in grand total of 23. She tossed it to Luck who looked at the crossed-out names and who was left.

"Awesome. Hey Mordred, I bet I can take out the Bandits faster than you did."

She just smiled.

"You tell yourself that. Magna, keep an eye on him."

Magna pushed up his sunglasses as he was ready.

"Yeah, yeah. We won't disappoint."

Yami glanced at Finral.

"Open a portal as close as you can to the Dungeon."

"On it."

Finral's grimoire flipped open as he created a portal. Asta, Mordred, Noelle, and Charmy walked in and appeared very close to the dungeon.

"Here we are. This is-"

Mordred stopped him before he embarrassed himself.

"A good creep-out spot for you?"

That made him hold his heart.

"I was going to say date."

"You know very well you don't get those."

Finral wanted to cry as she pushed him back into the portal which closed behind him. Now that they were here she summoned her armor. Her helmet covered up her face as she looked at Asta, and Noelle who were rookies.

Mordred noticed how the bird had come along with Asta and she could see it trying to avoid eye contact.

'Weird.'

"Let's get going before enemy mages show up. Charmy, you ready for this?"

The small woman nodded with a serious look on her face.

"I am ready to find yummy things. Maybe there are some unseen creatures ready for eating. Like Atlas."

Mordred squinted her eyes as Charmy could be dangerous to her pet.

"Don't eat my pet please."

Charmy placed her hand on her heart.

"I will try."

Noelle huffed.

"You forgot us?"

Mordred shook her head.

"I didn't forget. You can't control your mana so for now just follow along. Asta, your Anti Magic can come in use so be at the ready."

"YES MA"AM."

Noelle huffed but still felt annoyed as she was being treated like a kid.

'How irritating.'

They began to walk toward the dungeon which thanks to Finral, was only a few hundred meters away. When they arrived at the entrance Mordred squinted her eyes.

"Lot of magic in this place."

Charmy began to drool as several cotton sheep appeared next to her.

"Come on then, we must find the yummy things."

Mordred grabbed Clarent and Arondight while Galatine and Excalibur began to float and spin around her. They began to descend down into the dungeon with the Corron Sheep at the front.

Mordred's swords gave off some light, making Noelle stick close to her.

"It's so creepy in here."

Mordred was tempted to snuff out the light but did not.

"Try to get used to the dark. A little darkness is nothing compared to the horrors of the battlefield."

Asta laughed at Noelle.

"Scary cat."

"I am not scared your shrimp."

Just then Mordred stopped walking which made Asta pull out his Anti Magic Sword while the cotton sheep were ready to fight.

"What did you see La?"

"This."

Mordred pointed at a block in the passage and pushed on it.

"It's a fake magic-created construct. Just like this wall."

A bright flash of light made them look away as the wall dissipated into mana. Once the glare dissipated the revealing the real dungeon. This left everyone in their group of four speechless even Mordred.

Her horned helmet retreated revealing her aww-struck expression.

"Now this is something to see."

Atlas flew off her shoulder and dived into one of the many streams of liquid mana. He swam, drank, and just had fun in the liquid mana. Mordred could tell he was absorbing a large amount of the energy in the mana as if he was a black hole.

"Glutton."

Charmy rushed into her own mana stream as the grimoire flipped open.

"Cotton Magic: Sheep Cook. Use this mana water for stew."

Noelle sighed as the cotton chef began to collect the mana water in massive pots for stew. Mordred had no idea where Charmy got her ingredients as the cotton sheep were already busy preparing a mana-full stew.

More waved her hand which caused her 4 swords to float around her.

'Destroy those traps.'

Her 4 swords stabbed into the ground multiple times destroying the trap spells before they activated. Mordred warned them all about them.

"Be careful, this place is full of trap magic so don't just s-"

Before she got done Noelle had accidentally steppe on a trap spell which summoned a giant green plant. It's vines wrapped around her body which surprised the royal.

"CRAP!"

"NOELLE!"

Asta rushed to her aid and sliced apart a few of the vines with his sword. However more wrapped around him trapping him as well. Mordred sighed as she was going to command her swords to attack, but Charmy beat her to it.

"NEW INGREDIENT!"

Her grimoire flipped open as a giant cotton sheep was created by Charmy.

"Cotton Magic: Sleeping Sheep Strike."

The cotton sheep struck and flatted the flower with a single blow. Mordred called back her swords as the cotton sheep chefs began to collect the flower and chop it up. Mordred was not sure if that was edible.

"Charmy, is that safe to eat?"

Charmy was drooling in hunger.

"It will be when I get done with it."

Noelle sighed as she looked at the short woman.

"Thank you, Charmy."

Asta felt the same.

"Dumb plant. It wanted to eat us so let's eat him instead."

Just then Mordred's mana sense and instinct alerted her to several other intruders in the dungeon. She called out to Yuno who was very close.

"YUNO! What are you doing here?"

Asta did not expect Yuno to be here.

"WHERE?

Instead of answering Mordred just pointed up. Yuno arrived from the top of the dungeon and he was not alone. He was with two other mages, one female and the other male.

"Asta, Mordred, I see you were sent here as well."

Mordred nodded.

"Yeah, but we are not alone. I could feel your mana the moment you entered, but in the dungeon are probibly diamond mages."

The other mage with Yuno pushed up his glasses.

"So, we better hurry then. Who is your leader in this mission?"

Mordred stepped forward.

"That would be me."

Klause squinted his eyes at her.

"While we go down to get the treasure you go and deal with those diamond mages. You Black Bulls can be of use at least to stall them."

Mordred squinted her eyes.

"You really are an ass aren't you."

Klause did not expect that.

"How dare you? I am a Noble."

"If you are a Noble then I am the Wizard King. You go and deal with the Diamon Mages if you Golden Dawn are so good."

"No, you go as we have direct orders to get the treasure."

Mordred grinned.

"Funny, I got that same order from the Wizard King himself. Are you ignoring his orders?"

Klause pushed up his glasses.

"No, but if you did get such a mission you would have some proof."

Mordred pulled out the Storage device she was given by the Wizard King.

"Here, it has his name and mana as he told me to collect the treasure."

When Klause saw that he knew she was telling the truth. He grit his teeth as he tried to find something to say. Before he could say anything Yuno did for him.

"Mordred, how many mages are there?"

Mordred spread her mana sense out.

"I can sense around 5 or 6. I am not sure how strong they are, but they should not be too weak."

Klause paused as he thought out a plan.

"So, we need to get the treasure and take out the Diamond Mages. I recommend we split up and divide and conqueror."

Mordred looked over at Yuno.

"Hey, Yuno, you are the fastest here. You go with Asta and Noelle. Me, Charmy, 4 eyes and the blonde will go for the treasure."

Klause got annoyed at that.

"IT'S KLAUSE, NOT 4 EYES!"

Yuno's face turned deadpan.

'Why did that bother him so much?'

As for Mordred she just smiled.

"Alright 4 eyes."

Mimosa just laughed.

"I am Mimosa, nice to meet you."

"I am Mordred Pendragon. The feeling is mutual, now let's go."

Mimosa raised her hand.

"Wait a minute. Before that, I think it would be best to map out the place. My Plant Magic is quite good at this."

Yuno backed this up.

"She is right. She would make this a lot easier."

Mordred was fine with that.

"Go ahead."

Mimosa opened her grimoire and used her spell.

"Magic Flower Guidepost."

A flower grew out of the ground which showed a magic display of the whole dungeon. Using this and her mana sense Mordred pointed at the general location of the Diamond Mages.

"They are around here."

Yuno looked at Asta and Noelle.

"Well let's get going then. Don't slow me down Asta."

Tick marks appeared on Asta's face.

"I will beat them all before you."

Before they left Charmy called out to everyone.

"WAIT!"

Everyone paused as they looked at her.

"Everyone has to try this."

Klause tried to dissuade this.

"Wait, we don't have t-"

Suddenly the room got cold which made Mordred realize that there was more to Charmy than meets the eye.

"I said eat."

"Yes ma'am."

Mordred shrugged as they all got a bowl of stew that contained that magic plant. Atlas flew out of the mana water and on Mordred's shoulder. She glanced at her pet who had been having his fun in the mana water.

"Ask Charmy."

She got her spoon and took a bite of the magic plant. Her eyes went wide open as this was definitely one of the best things she had ever eaten. She felt a rush of mana which for some reason reacted to her Magic Core.

It pulsed powerfully as if she had just jump-started it which made her guzzle down the stew. Mimosa's face melted with joy.

"It's wonderful."

Even Klause was shocked as hid mana was recovering and growing.

"How is this possible?"

Charmy just smiled.

"With love."

Yuno tried to keep his composure, but it was not working.

'It's divine.'

Even Asta was stuffing his face.

'I am sorry Sister Lily. It's better than your cooking.'

Charmy was just happy they were all eating her food.

"All of you can have seconds. Recover your mana as much as possible before we continue."
