126 The Royal Knights
A few days passed by since the royal knight's selection exam was over. Currently, Sekke was resting in the common room lying on the sofa.
He still had some minor injuries left on his body, since he decided not to use the witch queen's blood magic bottle and just went to the Magic Knights hospital to get himself treated. Though while he was unconscious there seemed to have been a fight between Anna and Mimosa who both wanted to treat Sekke's injuries but because of their quarrel was making it worse for him so Julius ordered Own, the head of the magic knight's healers to take Sekke to the HQ.
Sekke who gained back consciousness after two days felt sore and decided to get discharged to not be rusty during the royal knight's mission(if he got selected, which he was pretty sure he would be).
"Sekke!! Train with me!!" said Asta as he appeared in front of him.
"I am in rehab, ask Luck," said Sekke.
Luck who heard his name being called out zapped near them and asked, "What happened? Want to fight to the death?"
"Yeah, Asta wants to. Take him."
"Haha let's go, Asta. Let's kill each other." said Luck with a smile on his face.
"No no no," replied Asta as he shook his head vigorously.
"Hey, I think it's about time." said Luck gathering everyone's attention in the room.
"For what?"
"The results of the Royal Knights Selection Exam! I'm sure the messenger owl will be by any minute." said Luck.
"Oh, right!" said Asta realizing what Luck said was true.
"...But I don't know if I will pass or not though. I mean, I got defeated pretty early on," said Asta.
"Don't worry Asta, you showed all your prowess in the match you lost. Not to mention you put up a pretty decent fight against me so it should be fine," said Sekke.
"Is that true?! Do you really think so Sekke?!"
"Yeah, I mean if they are planning to fight against such a threat that has a large number of people who can use powerful magic, then your anti-magic will be necessary in many situations," said Sekke as everyone nodded agreeing to his theory.
"Well, my team reached the finals, so I should have passed," said Noelle.
"Yeah, lost a 1 vs 3 where your opponent doesn't even have mana. Great confidence Noelle," said Sekke making Noelle embarrassed and yell at him.
"Haha, joking aside. You had a great performance in the exam, so I think you will pass as well...though I may be biased since I saw you groups up from the time you were devastatingly and at mana control," said Sekke.
"O-Oh! Thanks.....I mean it's expected since I am royalty." said Noelle as she blushed in embarrassment.
Suddenly the whole HQ started shaking as they heard the noise of someone knocking on their door.
The person kept knocking for a while and soon Magna got annoyed and walked towards the door
"Oi!! Who the hell is it?! Don't you know that you are at the door of the HQ of Black Bul-"
*BOOM!!!*
Before he could finish speaking the door got thrown at his face along with an explosion.
Everyone looked at the scene without much surprise since....well the black bulls were now used to destruction and weirdness happening in their HQ.
The dust soon settled and revealed the person who was knocking on the door.
"What? Are you serious? What the hell is the captain of the Crimson Lion Kings doing here?" asked Magna who was knocked down on the floor.
"Yeah! What are you doing here, Captain Sisgoleon?" asked Asta.
Just as he finished saying it a first came to his face sending him flying.
"It's Mereoleona!!" said the lioness in a slightly angered tone.
"What the hell is all that racket? I can't even take a dump in pea-" said Yami as he entered the hall after hearing the commotion. His gaze then fell on the lady who entered their HQ and he stopped speaking.
Not even a moment later he turned toward the rest of his squadmates and started warning them.
"It's an emergency! A wild beast has invaded the premises!! Everyone, leave the base immediately! Any of you who don't make it out, just play dead! Don't look her in the eye! She'll eat you!"
Flames gathered in Mereoleona's hand as she punched Yami as well knocking him to the floor.
"Shut your trap and accept this," said Mereoleona as she placed a bottle of alcohol in front of Yami.
"What kind of hellish drink is this? Is this something that will set my throat ablaze and then make me spit fire?" asked Yami as he picked up the bottle and stood up.
"It's to thank you for visiting Fuegoleon. Do you wanna die for real?" asked Mereoleona.
"You don't need to thank me. At any rate, this drink can't be for humans if someone as violent as you liked it. I don't want it." said Yami.
A flaming paw immediately grabbed Yami's head as Mereroleon looked at him and said, "Okay, I'm. Going to kill you."
"You're not supposed to kill the person you're thanking."
"Pot calling the Kettle black, huh," said Sekke as he entered the reception area of the HQ along with the rest of the squad.
"Oh Sekke, take this," said Mereoleona as a flaming paw came appeared from her back carrying a basket.
Sekke looked at the basket that contained a lot of high-quality meat.
"Hm? What's this for?" asked Sekke as he took the basket from the flame paw.
"I heard you fixed my brother's arm when it got cut off. It's my gratitude for that," said Mereoleona.
"Hm...oh yeah I did that. Thanks," replied Sekke as he stored the meat inside his storage before Charmy gets her hands on it.
"Oh, I see. You just came to see Captain Yami and Sekke. I totally thought you were gonna take me someplace awful aga-" said Asta when suddenly a flame paw caught his head.
Similar paws appeared over Sekke, Luck, and Noelle before they were grabbed as well.
"While I'm at it, I might as well take you lot, too," said Mereoleona as she started walking out.
"What do you mean by that?! Where are you taking us? Hell? Is it hell?!" asked a panicked Asta.
"No! Wh-Why are you taking me, too?!" asked Noelle.
"Are there strong people where we're going?" asked a happy Luck.
"Bye-bye everyone. See you all later," said Sekke as waved his hand at the rest of his squad.
"Hey! Your squad members are being kidnapped! Do something!" complained Noelle as she looked at Yami.
"Why? You are taking the lioness with you, I am all for it. Don't die." said Yami.
"We're sacrifices! What the heck did we do to deserve this?!" asked Asta.
"Shut up! You all passed the Royal Knights Selection Exam," said Mereoleona as she glared at the noisy bunch behind her.
"Huh?" said Noelle
"We passed," said Asta.
"Knew it," said Sekke.
This made everyone surprised before Mereoleona started looking around once again.
"There was one more black bull that got selected...but I don't see him," said Mereoleona as she walked out of the HQ.

Currently at the swearing-in ceremony of the Royal Knights Mereoleona was calling out the names of each member who was selected.
In the end, the Royal Knights consisted of:

"Now that you know who all the members are, I will introduce myself. I'm Mereoleona Vermillion and I've been appointed the captain of the Royal Knights!"
All of them nodded before Asta looked at the newest addition of Black Bulls.
"Oi! Xerx! Why are you wearing that robe?!" asked Asta as he pointed at Zora.
"First of all, I am Zora. Secondly, are you an idiot?! It's because I am a member of the black bulls."
He then started explaining his reason to Asta and Noelle.
Asta and Zora soon started to bicker which made Mereoleona pissed as she immediately rushed the two of them under a fire paw.
"Stop making a ruckus you bastards!! All of you go to the other room and get changed into Royal Knights robes!!"
All of them nodded and then went to the other room where they were called one by one to collect their robes.
"They are created for our fight against the Eye of the Midnight Sun, with high resistance to magic attacks!"
Once all of them were done changing they came back to the briefing room.
"All right, it looks like you've all finished changing," said Mereoleona as she checked the squad she was going to lead.
"Wait a minute! Why is mine so small?!" asked Asta in a panic.
"Don't worry Asta, you can make up for your lack of size with the help of technique," said Sekke as he patted Asta's shoulder.
"Huh? Ok, thanks. Wait what does it have to do with my robe?!" asked Asta.
"Oh, you were talking about your robe. My bad," said Sekke with a smile as he took a step back.
"Wait! What were you talking about?!" asked Asta.
"Haha, who knows," said Sekke.
Soon Nozel Silva entered the hall along with Siren of Golden Dawn and Cobb from the Magic Knights HQ as the additional members of the squad.
"You all, along with these three, are the Royal Knights!" declared Mereoleona.
She then took a deep breath and yelled, "I think you all know this, but we have no use for anything other than victory! The Eye of the Midnight Sun is a terrorist organization that threatens the Clover Kingdom!"
"If we don't take care of them ourselves, there will never be peace in our land! You all worked hard together when they attacked the royal capital and were successful in eliminating them, but there were still severe consequences. My foolish brother Fuegoleom fell at the enemy's hands, and he has still not awakened. What we learned from the agents we captured is that their leader is a mage with a four-leaf clover grimoire, Licht. We learned that they have an upper echelon called the Third Eye and for some unknown reasons they are collecting magic stones to be reborn in their true forms and obtain great power."
"We are going to be attacking their stronghold before they complete their plans. So assume that our enemy will do everything they can to stop us. Some of us may fall. But we will be victorious! We are going to give our all in this battle! Any fool that fails to do so will be taken out by me before we even get to the enemy's stronghold!"
"Are you ready?!" asked Mereoleona.
"YES!!!" yelled everyone in the room simultaneously as they prepared to set out.
"Oi, Sekke-kun."
Hearing his name being called Sekke turned around and saw Julius standing in a corner and walked towards him.
"Wizard King? You are here, as well. Why didn't you address the royal knights then?"
"It's important for the one who is going to lead you all to raise your morale as well. Mereoleona needs to establish her authority as the captain of the Royal Knights. Anyways, here take this." said Julius as he showed a magic device to Sekke.
"What is it?" asked Sekke as he took the magic device from Julius.
"It's a magic device that is connected to the Magic Announcement System throughout the kingdom. If the situation at any point looks too grim and requires the citizens to evacuate, don't hesitate to inform them of it. The red button is for informing directly to me at the Magic Knights HQ and the blue button is for the kingdom-wide announcement system."
"...Shouldn't you give this to Captain Mereoleona?"
"Knowing her she might destroy this in a fit of rage. I am entrusting it to you since you have your storage magic and I believe that you know when to make the call for evacuation," said Julius with a smile.
"...I will not let you down," said Sekke with a serious tone as he saluted.
"I know, and the ones whom you should not be letting down are the citizens," said Julius as he patted Sekke's shoulder before he sent him off.
