15 Faith, Hope and Love

Somewhere in March...When dandelions started to dance in the air.

Once a year, throughout the Cloverfield Kingdom, everyone who is 15 years old is gathered together, and in a laureate ceremony, they are given their own grimoires, which enhance their magical powers.

"Come, Niel, the ceremony is about to begin," said Noelle, hurriedly getting out of the carriage.

Finally, the day of the big event had arrived, the Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony.

Niel came down soon after, anxious and happy that the day had finally arrived.

He gazed and admired the Grimorio Tower of the royal capital, where the ceremony would take place. The majestic tower rose, imposing and full of magic.

He then noticed a crowd of young people his age entering the tower, all equally eager to receive their grimoires.

Hilda, who was serving as an escort for the twins that day, appeared with a smile and said.

"How nostalgic. It's been a while since the day I received my grimoire.

Good luck, young master. This is where your journey as a magic knight begins."

Niel thanked him and said in a joking tone. "I hope I at least get a grimoire today hahaha."

But it wasn't entirely a joke, it wasn't visible, but he was a little nervous now that the day had arrived.

Would being a soul from another world have any impact and in the end would he end up without a grimoire?

He then began to pray that faith, hope and love, which represent Clover's three leaves, would not abandon him.

But he decided not to think about it too much and focused on the ceremony that was about to begin.

Hilda led them to a different entrance than the other young people were using, guiding them to a special area reserved for the nobility.

As they advanced, they could hear lively conversations from the other participants in the ceremony.

Upon arriving, they noticed that many nobles of their age were present, some familiar faces from the Royal Academy that they attended until recently.

Some were alone and others were accompanied, either by a family member or a servant of their families...

As soon as the representatives of Casa Silva arrived, a momentary silence fell over the room, and all eyes turned to them.

However, it's not just the attention they receive. Some nobles start making nasty comments.

"...The failures of royalty finally decided to show their faces..."

"It's hard not to feel sorry for both of them, I believe no decent grimoire will choose them today.

"I heard that his brother, the captain of the silver eagles, doesn't intend to accept them into his squadron..."

"So much magical power being wasted... Truly a shame."

But not everyone said bad things, especially some young women who seemed excited about Niel's arrival.

Saying things like "Kyaah, Niel-Sama looks so handsome today..."

Other young people said "Miss Noelle seems to get more beautiful with time...I really want to confess to her."

Among other passionate comments....

Niel however, seemed indifferent to all of this. He just walked into the room fearlessly and ignored the stares.

Noelle also seemed fearless and advanced alongside Niel. With the exception of her older brothers, what others said or thought about her didn't matter to her, they were no different from commoners in their outlook.

Both ended up stopping when they reached an angle where they could see the room better, being dazzled by observing a huge amount of grimoires spread across the colossal walls of the tower.

"Look, Noelle, the amount of grimoires is impressive." Niel said.

"Yes, it's amazing. Just thinking that one of them will soon be mine...I'm so excited." Noelle agreed, her eyes shining with excitement.

Niel smiled in response to Noelle's enthusiasm, sharing her excitement. He then directed his gaze downstairs, where unrest was evident among the other participants in the ceremony.

Soon after, he paid more attention to the nobles' area, where he noticed some familiar faces. Mimosa, who was accompanied by her older brother, was visibly embarrassed by her brother's narcissism.

Leopold, who was immersed in laughter and lively conversation with the Crimson Lions' knights, just as one would expect of him.

However, a certain young man caught Niel's attention. He spoke louder than usual, drawing disdainful looks from the other nobles.

This individual always let out strange laughs like "Bah-ha", Niel almost laughed upon seeing this.

Suddenly, everyone's attention was caught when a voice appeared and echoed throughout the room.

"Welcome, young ones."

Niel and the others turned their gaze to the top of the Tower, where the voice was coming from.

They realized that it was a middle-aged man who was flying down from the top of the Tower with magic.

His presence was imposing, and his magical power was remarkable. Everyone in the room quickly recognized that this man would be responsible for the ceremony in the royal capital.

He then continued with his speech...

"You all begin a journey today...

... I wish you faith, hope and love...

I am the master of this grimoire tower... I am proud to be able to guide you, the promising young men of Clover who yearn to achieve greatness...

...The current Wizard King and the previous ones, as well as the renowned Magic Knights once passed through here, just like you... I wish them luck and may they achieve greatness, just like them..."

Niel listened carefully to the tower master's words, which echoed deeply in his mind. The idea of becoming the Wizard King was something he had never thought about or considered deeply.

But he realized that if he wanted to get stronger, he would need a goal that would keep him focused and determined. It was at that moment that he found his answer, becoming the Wizard King... It was the biggest goal he could think of at the moment...

Without further ado, the tower master began the ceremony...

"Now is the time to be awarded... With the Grimorios!"

A magical glow filled the room, and grimoires began to float through the air, creating a dazzling spectacle. One by one, they chose their owners, slowly descending to the young mages.

The lower wing, where most of the participants were, was filled with enthusiasm and joy as they received their grimoires.

"So this is my grimoire!"

"I can already feel the power."

"I can't wait to sign up for the Magic Knights."

Expressions of astonishment and happiness were visible on their faces.

Some compared their grimoires, arguing about which one was more beautiful or bigger, but mainly because of the number of leaves on the clover.

The noble wing was also fascinated by the process. It was a majestic spectacle, and the nobles expressed their joy in a more restrained manner, but they were still enchanted.

"That's right, I'm officially a Crimson Lion from now on!" Leopold exclaimed enthusiastically. His escort and some nearby nobles applauded.

Kirsch, in turn, praised his sister Mimosa, "Congratulations, Mimosa. Just from your grimoire, I can tell that your magic is beautiful, but no more than that of your handsome brother here." Being a little eccentric as always...

Mimosa was initially happy with the compliments, but was again embarrassed when he made embarrassing comments.

She replied with a forced smile, "Die, brother. I can finally get away from you." Her eyes looked deadly, but she was clearly joking, perhaps...

As the surrounding nobles received grimoires from her, Niel began to grow restless. His gaze was fixed on the floating grimoires, but none seemed to be directed at him. Anxiety was growing, but he remained calm.

Suddenly, a blue Grimoire with gold details flew towards him, bringing a brief ray of hope to Niel's heart. However, the grimoire landed near Noelle, choosing her as its bearer.

Noelle, beaming, displayed her grimoire with pride. "Look, Niel, my grimoire, it's so beautiful!"

Niel, despite his slight disappointment, smiled and congratulated his sister. "Congratulations, Noelle. A three-leaf one, I knew you'd get a great grimoire. As expected from my amazing sister," he said, patting her head affectionately.

Noelle, full of enthusiasm, replied: "Now we need you, brother. Our dream of becoming magic knights is about to come true. I'm so happy!"

Niel replied with a smile, "I hope to receive one as nice as yours." His attention quickly turned to the grimoires, hoping that one of them would choose him soon.

Time passed quickly and there was only one grimoire left floating. To end the ceremony, he went down and chose his owner, but unfortunately, it wasn't Niel...

As Niel was overcome by thousands of thoughts, his hope was shaken and he ended up saying:

"Where's my Grimorio?!"

This question that he accidentally blurted out ended up drawing everyone's attention to him.

"Oh wait! No grimoire chose him?!"

"So it's true that no grimoire finds him worthy?"

"This guy is really a comedy Hahahaha..."

"It would be better not to have come to the ceremony than to go through this shame."

"Even your sister got one, does that mean he's more useless than her? This can't be serious..."

Comments and mocking laughter arose from all corners.

Normally, Niel wouldn't let such comments faze him, but this was the day he had been looking forward to most since his reincarnation, so he was somewhat shaken upon hearing all this.

Niel was still thinking, things like, 'Is this my destiny?' No grimoire, no magical potential? Maybe they're right, I'm useless... I should give up once and for all...'

But it was at that exact moment, when his hope was about to be shattered, that an intense light appeared and illuminated the entire room, blinding everyone's vision.

When the light dissipated, their visions were restored, but they could not believe their eyes.

A grimoire was the source of all that light, pure white and sky blue with gold details. In moments, he found himself right in front of Niel.

The room, which had previously been filled with mocking laughter, now fell into an unsettling silence, but it was soon broken.

"Impossible, is that one?!! " Someone said, somewhat startling.

"It can't be, how did he win something like that?!"

Disbelief seemed to have taken over everyone, their looks revealed it...

"This has to be a cruel joke of the gods," muttered someone, unable to accept the reality before him.

However, the disbelief was not because a grimoire chose Niel, but because...

"A... A four-leaf clover?!"

"The Legendary four-leaf clover, just like the first Wizard King?"

"Wasn't he supposed to be useless with no talent for magic? What's going on?!"

What floated before Niel was a grimoire with a four-leaf clover, emanating beauty and grandeur.

In addition to faith, hope and love, the good omen also joined him, presenting him with this gift.

He was still confused by this rapid succession of events. But soon he stretched out his arms and held the grimoire, "My grimoire... A four-leaf clover." He also looked in disbelief, but a smile eventually revealed itself.

The tower master, also surprised, ended up saying, "A four-leaf clover... Looks like we have a talented young man this year."

This comment ended up attracting the attention of those on the floor below, everyone focused their eyes on the top, trying to see the one chosen by the legendary grimoire.

Taken by an impulse, Niel began walking to a point where everyone could see him. His renewed hope impelled him to lift the grimoire, and with boldness, he proclaimed, "Listen well, citizens of Clover. I, Niel Silva, will become the Wizard King!"

It was a spontaneous action, driven by an impulse that not even he fully understood. Perhaps he sought to regain honor, or perhaps he was simply overcome by the emotion of the moment.

But to his surprise, cheers of support came soon after, cheering or shouting his name enthusiastically. The tower became agitated in a second, even most of the nobles were applauding.

Noelle jumped for joy, saying with a relieved smile, "I knew it would be an amazing grimoire...I never doubted you, brother."

"As expected of my rival... I won't be left behind, hahahaha..." said Leopold, more excited than ever.

"I knew you had some hidden potential, but I didn't expect something like this. I can't wait to train you over the next few days." Hilda said with an excited smile.

Seeing the stir his act caused, his name being applauded in a popular chant, Niel felt renewed, determined to give his life to achieve his newfound goal...

'From this moment onwards, I will do my utmost to reach the top among magic knights. I will definitely become the Wizard King.' The determination in his eyes burned like fire.

The moment was good, but unfortunately, the ceremony came to an end. The young wizards filed out of the tower with wide smiles, not only because they had received their grimoires, but also because they longed to tell the others about Niel, the bearer of a four-leaf clover.

While leaving the tower, Niel stopped briefly to chat with his friends and family, Leopold, Mimosa, and Kirsch.

They congratulated each other and praised each other's grimoires, determined to join the Magic Knights.

As they separated, others tried to get closer to Niel, acting as if they were long-time friends, including some nobles who had insulted him for much of his life.

However, Hilda chased them away with a single glance. Soon after, she escorted the twins home to safety.

The day of the grimoire acceptance ceremony had come to an end.

It was certainly a day to remember, but something said that this was just the beginning.
