(VANESSA POV)

FLASHBACK

[IN THE PAST]

in a room in the WITCH QUEENS PALACE. the queen is sitting on a sofa and a young girl comes running in. the girls lifts both her hands forward and there is a doll in her hands made of strings. this little girl is vanessa in her childhood. she seems really happy as she has a huge smile on her face.

little vanessa :"look, your highness!!. i made a doll with strings."

witch queen :"oh!!.that looks really nice."

little vanessa :"i want to make everyone smile with my magic!!."

witch queen :"hehehe!. i'm sure you could, vanessa."

in a room in the WITCH QUEENS PALACE, there is a giant cage hanging from the ceiling. the inside of the cage is made into a room. a young girl is trapped in the cage. she has pink hair and purple eyes. this girl is vanessa as a child. in the wall of the room there are many windows and a passage. the child looks at the outside through that window and sees some witches flying around on a broom. she hears the witches talk about the outside world and longs to go outside. a woman comes from the passage and looks into the cage. vanessa speaks to her

vanessa :"your majesty, the magic in these threads don't have any unthinkable power like you say they have!!. let me out of here."

witch queen :"no. vanessa , someday you will inevitably come to posses the power to change fate. my divination has clearly foretold this. until you are able to invoke that magic, i will not let you out of here. you are my family, which means you belong to me. i will be the one to choose your fate"

vanessa is in her late teens. she is still being held in a cage. she sits on a chair and there are puppets surrounding her. the puppets are made of strings.

puppet 1 :"vanessa are you okay? being like this forever?."

puppet 2 :"what you truly want is to go see the outside world, right?"

vanessa :"that's impossible. i can't defy her majesty."

puppet 3 :"hrmm!! i suppose so. her majesty is really very powerful"

puppet 2 :"if you can do as the queen wishes and learn the magic to control fate, you can leave here."

vanessa :"you can't control something like fate. i'll just end up living my entire life in this cage, like a bird in a birdcage. that is my fate."

puppet :"well, this whole conversation is just you talking to yourself"

the puppets disappear. she hears some sound from the outside and looks through the window.

vanessa :'it sounds like there is some sort of commotion going on outside'

!!BANG!!

a giant dragon made of blood makes a hole in the wall and part of the cage is destroyed by it. vanessa is surprised and walks out of the cage. a man wearing black clothes comes through the giant hole. vanessa is flustered.

vanessa :'a m-m-man. i've never seen one before. this person, he fought with her majesty'

the man is yami. he looks at her and asks

yami :"huh?who are you?what are you doing here?"

vanessa remembers her past and the time she was trapped in a cage. she hesitate, but makes up her mind. she runs toward's yami and says

vanessa :"please, take me with you."

yami :"you sure?"

vanessa :"yes, i am sure."

yami :"fine then."

yami :"[DARK MAGIC : BLACK COCOON]"

yami covers vanessa with his magic.

!!BOOM!!

the witch queen escapes from yami's spell by blasting it apart. the queen is really angry and says

queen of the witches :"where do you think you're taking her?"

yami :'she seems really pissed. better escape from here'

yami :"[DARK MAGIC : DEMONICATION]"

yami's hair grows out and it emits dark magic. his all body is covered in dark magic and his overall abilities have been enhanced. yami fly's into the air along with vanessa , trying to escape from the forest of witches.

witch queen :"you will not escape"

a large amount of black crow's gather in the sky to block yami. the crow suddenly charges towards yami and traps him.

yami:"[MANA ZONE : DARK MAGIC: DARK CLOAKED LIGHTLESS SLASH BARRAGE:COMBO ATTACK]"

yami cuts through the crows and tries to escape again, but the queen of the witches chases after him with fury.

yami :"[DARK MAGIC : DEMONIC ABYSSAL BLADE] "

a pitch black katana appears from yami's grimoire. he holds it with his hand and injects mana into it. yami's speed increase's and leaves the witch queen in the dust. yami escapes with vanessa.

queen of the witches :"NOOOOOOO!!!!"

the queen shouts with immense rage.

yami escapes from the witch queen and the witches forest. he enters the forsaken realm in the clover kingdom. he land's in a plain ground in the forsaken realm and releases vanessa from his magic. vanessa looks around and is surprised by the scenery .

vanessa :"is this what the outside world looks like?"

she runs around the field ,looking at everything that catches her eye.

yami :"well this is part of it. this world is big, bigger than what you can think staying locked up in that cage"

vanessa :"the world is really that big?"

yami :"yep, so what do you want to do? explore the world or something?"

vanessa looks confused and as in deep thought

vanessa :"i did want to go outside that cage and explore the world, but now that i am outside , i am confused? i don't know, what to do?. beside's i am sure that her majesty will not let go of me that easily, she will come looking for me some day. she will not allow me to roam around in the outside world. she will come get me ."

yami :"well if you are that worried, you can come with me. i am a magic knight squad captain of the clover kingdom. my squad is made up of outsiders and outcast's. you'll fit right in. if the queen of the witches does come after you, i will protect you. besides you don't have a purpose right now , so there is no harm joining my squad. who knows, you may find your purpose there! so what say?"

vanessa is dumbstruck . she didn't think that a man whom the witches has considered beneath them would go so far for her. not only did yami save her from her fate , he also offered her a place where she can belong. not only that he would also protect her from the queen of the witches if she comes after her. vanessa never thought that there would be a man like this in the world. hearing what yami said, vanessa's heartbeat increases and her face turns red,

vanessa :'why is my heart beating so fast and why am i blushing?'

yami :"so whats your answer?"

vanessa :"is it really alright for me to join your squad?"

yami :"of course it is. you don't need to worry about anything"

vanessa :"if so, i will gladly join your squad. my name is 'VANESSA ENOTECA' and i am a witch from the forest of witches"

yami :"the name's yami. yami sukehiro. captain of the 'BLACK BULL'S'. welcome to the team vanessa"

vanessa :" yes, glad to be with you"
