17 defeating sparring partner's

[GREY DEER BASE]

yami was walking through the base when he heard a familiar voice

jack :"hey, you bastard . you're still kicking i see"

yami :"oh, it's you. long time no see you crazy psychopath and should you be talking to your vice captain like that"

i turn around and sees jack. i respond to his taunt and after that i notice that his outfit is different.

jack :"you're still as arrogant as ever. also you are not my vice-captain anymore on the contrary i am a captain of a magic knight squad. that means i am your superior and disrespecting your superior gives me the right to cut you up"

jack says and a scythe forms on his right hand. he releases his mana to intimidate me. he lick his scythe with his tongue like a psychopath.

yami :'jack is a captain now!!!!???'

yami :"julius must have gone crazy to appoint someone like you to be a magic knight squad captain"

jack :"you really do want me to cut you up"

yami :"that will depend on your abilities. the last time we played around i remember that i won"

jack gets irritated hearing what i said and says

jack :"i have improved since the last time we played around"

yami :"me too"

the both of us head into the forest at the back of the base and we stand face to face in a fighting position. jack activates his magic and rushes towards me

jack :"[SEVERING MAGIC : BERSERKER'S RAMPAGE]"

i engage jack in close combat. since the last time we fought jack has improved tremendously. his mana is at captain class and his combat ability has reached peak of captain class. although it doesn't look like much infront of me but i am a transmigrator and was at a higher starting point than him. i naturally had the advantage over him from the beginning of my journey but jack was a commoner by birth and had little mana. becoming a magic knight captain at his age with his circumstances is just incredible. in one word jack is a pure genius for what he did.

yami :'he did indeed improve. of all the people i know after mereoleona and me he is the next best at close combat and physical enhancement magic'

yami :" [DARK MAGIC : DARK CLOAKED LIGHTLESS SLASH]"

jack :"[ SEVERING MAGIC : DEATH SCYTHE]"

both our attacks collide and cancel's each other out. the both of us stare's at each other. i break the silence

yami :"lets finish this in one blow"

jack :"just what i was thinking"

both of them gathers their mana and attacks each other

jack :"[SEVERING MAGIC : DEATH SCYTHE LUNATIC SLASH]"

jack attack's with multiple 'DEATH SCYTHE' towards yami. yami launches his attack by swinging his katana covered by dark magic

yami :"[DARK MAGIC : DIMENSION SLASH]"

yami's attack cuts through jacks attacks and space. the ground is split in two and jack receives a small cut on his chest.

yami :" it looks like i win this round!!"

jack is surprised by yami's attack and can't say a word. after some time jack stop's his magic and answer's

jack :"it seems like i lost this time too. but remember this i will be the one to cut you up"

saying that jack heads into the forest. with a creepy smile on his face

jack :'he has gotten way stronger. he was holding back in our fight. an attack that cuts space, huh?. i will train harder and get stronger . i will be the one to cut him up"

yami heads back into the grey deer base.

STRONG MAGIC ZONE : ULTIM VOLCANO

two people were having an intense fight on top of a volcano in the deepest part of the region. explosions were occurring left and right. eruptions were happening all over the ground and lava was falling from the sky. these two were yami and mereoleona. yami had recently turned 21 years old.

mereoleona :"[MANA ZONE : FLAME MAGIC : CALIDUS BRACHIUM : COMBO ATTACK]"

condensed flame magic shoot's towards yami from his surroundings.

yami :"[MANA ZONE : CONDENSE : DARK MAGIC : BLACK CLOAKED BLACK BLADE : ABSOLUTE DEFENSE]

yami condenses his 'MANA ZONE' around him and cloaks hi katana with dark magic . whenever a beam of flame enters his mana zone , he uses his ultra fast reflexes's to cut it in two. mereoleona charges towards yami with concentrated flame magic in her hand's

yami :"[MANA ZONE : CONDESE : DARK MAGIC : DARK CLOAKED IAI SLASH]"

the movement she touched yami's domain , yami countered without even thinking at inhuman speeds. yami's attack gave mereoleona a scar on her chest.

mereoleona :'i see that's how it is . the space in his domain is under his absolute control. anything that enters it will be cut by him without even thinking purely based on instinct. in that case i need to attack him with multiple and fast attacks that his body can't keep up'

mereoleona :"[MANA ZONE : FLAME MAGIC : CALIDUS BRACHIUM : COMBO ATTACK]"

a large number of condensed flame magic shoot's towards yami from his surroundings. he counter's with his 'ABSOLUTE DEFENSE'. mereoleona increases the number of her attacks.

yami :'she is increasing the number of attacks. this is getting troublesome'

as yami defends mereoleona attacks, yami feels something inside of him awakening . yami sense's his surrounding and everything around him has slowed down. he can sense everything around him even the debris moving because of their fight. he can see the weakness of mereoleona attacks and how they'll come towards him. he follows his instinct and moves as he feels. yami is defending against the attacks by cutting them up with perfection with his instinct. his movements improves and there is no wasted movement. yami moves with minimum motion and minimum amount of mana. yami realizes what he is undergoing . his ki sense is evolving.

[TRANSPARENT WORLD]

TRANSPARENT WORLD - The user becomes able to see the muscles, blood flow, and joint movement of living beings, allowing the user to accurately predict and react to their opponent's movements, as well as confirm the health and well-being of others. Additionally, the user gains hyper-perception, allowing them to perceive the world around them at a much fast rate, making it appear to them as if the world was going in slow motion.

yami :"[DARK MAGIC : DARK CLOAKED LIGHTLESS SLASH]"

while defending against mereoleona's attacks yami counter's with his own. mereoleona is surprised with this sudden turn of events. she dodges the attack on instinct but the attack cuts her shoulder.

mereoleona :'what is happening???. one second i am cornering him and the next second i get attacked. how did he shoot his attack towards me without it touching any of my attacks?. and his movements have changed , it has become more refined. he isn't wasting any motion?. is this '[MANA ZONE]'?. no it isn't that . it is some other ability . and it looks like he can predict my attacks'

mereoleona :"[MANA ZONE : FLAME MAGIC : CALIDUS BRACHIUM : COMBO ATTACK]"

mereoleona attacks even more fiercely , but yami predicts and deals with the attacks easily using his '[TRANSPARENT WORLD]'. exchanging moves for a while , yami create's an opening for himself and he attacks

yami :'i need to finish this in one blow'

yami's grimoire glows and a spell appears on a new page

yami :"[MANA ZONE : SUPER CONDENSE : DARK MAGIC : DEATH THRUST]"

yami attacks mereoleona. her instincts scream at her that her life is in danger. she jumps up and dodges yami's attack on pure instinct. mereoleona looks at her back and is extremely surprised. the giant boulder behind her had a huge hole in it. she still receives damage from yami's attack.

mereoleona :'incredible. his magic just destroyed space. i know now that there are magic in this world that i have yet to see'

meroleona feel threatened and her potential explodes. her grimoire glows and a new spell appears on a new page. she concentrates all her magic on herself and says

mereoleona :"this is what a fight should be like. i'll end this in one attack"

just as mereoleona says that yami senses something . due to feeling threatened by mereoleona's magic , yami unconsciously combines '[TRANSPARENT WORLD]' AND '[MANA ZONE]'. a new ability is formed by the combination of these two abilities

FORESIGHT

by combining '[TRANSPARENT WORLD]' AND '[MANA ZONE] the evolution's of ki sense and mana sense abilities, one is able to acquire the ability '[FORESIGHT]'. the ability of '[FORESIGHT]' is to allow the user to see into the future. the more proficient one is at this ability the more he is able to see.

using '[FORESIGHT]' yami sees that a fantom mereoleona focuses all her mana into herself and releases a large scale magic that will destroy the area.

yami :' was that the future that i saw'

just as he just saw , mereoleona focuses all her magic into herself and launch's her attack.

mereoleona :"[MANA ZONE : FULL RELEASE : FLAME MAGIC : CALLIDUS BRACHIUM : PURGOTORY]"

a huge explosion of concentrated flames occurs with mereoleona as the center. yami was barely able to react as he foresaw this with his ability. yami's grimoire glows and a new spell appears on a new page.

yami :"[MANA ZONE : SUPER CONDENSED : DARK MAGIC : GREAT BLACK HOLE]"

a big sphere made of dark magic appears before yami and the sphere absorbs the flames around him.

mereoleona :'his magic absorbed my magic!!!!!.]'

yami charges towards mereoleona and attacks with his blade. she tries to counter but yami already foresaw it with his ability and counters . yami's attack hits and leaves a deep scar on her chest.

yami :"[MANA ZONE : CONDESE : DARK MAGIC : DARK CLOAKED IAI SLASH]"

before she could react yami knocks her out using his magic.

yami :"[DARK MAGIC : DARK CLOAKED LIGHTLESS BLUNT STRIKE]"

mereoleona is knocked out by yami.

yami :"it's been three years and i have finally defeated her. i better heal her up and leave"

yami picks her up and throw's her in a hot-spring and yami leaves the place victorious.
