2 Prologue (2/2)

("So I'm probably not in Florida anymore") Jack thought as as he sidestepped another blast of water that was fired in his direction. ("I'm pretty sure Florida doesn't have floating books and people using freakin magic. Black Clover has that though...of course that seems to be the logical conclusion as anything else wouldn't make sense. Not that being in a fictional world makes any sense either").

Jack had been dodging blasts of water and fire for around five minutes, narrowly escaping attacks as thoughts ran through his mind at lightning speed. He would've already ran away had it not been for two people with symbols of silver eagles on their cloaks blocking his way. Of course this was actually rather helpful as it cemented the idea that he was indeed in the world of Black Clover though the idea seemed rather impossible but the facts were hard to dispute.

("Putting everything aside, these guys are horrible shots. Six of them shooting balls of water and fire and they failed to hit me even once. These guys need to practice more!!") Jack kicked off the nearest wall and flipped over another water strike which destoyed the wall of the building he had kicked off of.

"What exactly is going on here??!!" A voice said from far behind Jack. "Are you idiots pulling this stunt again??!! How many times have I told you not to do this?"

Everyone looked towards the voice, the group of six, Jack, and the two magic knights turning their heads.

Approaching them was a rather tall female with long vermillion colored hair and red markings around her eyes. She was easily distinguishable as Mereoleona Vermillion from the show Black Clover, further proof that Jack was indeed in a fictional world.

"Haven't I told you idiots that what your doing is a crime??" Mereoleona grabbed the heads of the two Silver Eagles magic knights, her eyes containing anger and literal flame beginning to surround her body. "Cornering a commoner for a bit of "FUN" is against the law even if your nobility."

Mereleona removed her hands and jammed her foot into one of the backsides of the magic knights, causing him to literally fly forward. "Get out of here before I beat you senseless. Also you can be damned sure that your captain will hear about this!!"

The other six had already ran off after seeing Mereoleona approach and the other two magic knights weren't two far behind as they both darted after them. It was clear that they dared not to say anything else as any words from them could easily upset the fiery woman even more. It was far safer to just leave and complain about it when they were out of earshot.

"Damned kids," Mereleona growled, her flame beginning to die back down. "Would have had them expelled from the magic knights already if that dumbass didn't keep defending them." She glared at their retreating backs for a bit before turning her sharp blue eyes towards Jack.

"Hey kid, who are you?" Her loud voice gave off the impression of yelling but Jack felt that it was just how she naturally spoke. "An ordinary commoner couldn't have dodged all of those blasts with such ease and fluid movements. Are you a magic knight?"

Jack blinked, a bit taken aback at how quickly things were changing. He had only just woken in the filthy alleyway around 40 minutes to an hour ago and now he was speaking to an insanely strong character from Black Clover. Even if you could adapt to situations at superhuman speeds, one would need at least a few seconds to get their bearings.

"Oh, my names Jack Meyers and no I'm not a magic knight," Jack looked away as he was unable to look her in the eyes, a piercing blue that looked like she could see right through him. "Hell I don't even have a grimoire yet so being a magic knight isnt even a possibility."

"Hmm, you mean you dont have a grimoire?" Mereleona frowned. "Are you an idiot? Don't you know that the Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony starts today? Come with me, I'll do you a favor!!"

Flames erupted around her and a large cat paw made of fire extended and grabbed onto the top of his head, lifting him up into the airnlike a sack of rice. She then began running down the street without uttering another word, her speed akin to a bullet as she sped along, people jumping out of her way in order to avoid getting ran over.

("But I didn't even tell her my age!") Jack mentally exclaimed as he tugged along for the ride. ("What if it turns out I'm 14 instead of 15 and can't recieve my grimoire as of yet? She really should have asked the important questions first.")

It didn't seem like she was going to listen though even if he lied and told her he was 14. He could only stay put and hope he didn't lose his head from all the shaking around he was going through. He also had to hope that she didn't crash into anything as he would also get hurt if she stopped suddenly.
