Mrs. Tang looked at her daughter, stunned. She didn't expect her daughter to not only decide not to play along with her schemes, but to also refute her claims, making her seem like a shameless woman!

Tang Xinyue smirked with her arms crossed before Fan Lingxin tugged her arm.

She turned around to see Fan Lingxin's disappointed face. "You shouldn't fight with your mum like that."

The ladies heard Fan Lingxin's comment and was touched. She's a respectful lady.

Mrs. Tang could only watch as her daughter pinched Fan Lingxin's cheeks.

Mrs. Tang walked back to her friends, but they sent gazes of distrust towards her.

Suddenly, the door opened, an energetic elderly woman behind it.

"Grandma is here!"

Enthusiastic and jolly, Grandma Li walked in, throwing away her walking cane in favor of skipping along. Behind her was her first son, Li Xiao, flustered as he caught the walking cane.

Qin Huiying noticed this and she rushed to prevent Grandma Li from tripping and falling to the ground.

"...Mother, don't do that!"

Grandma Li heard Qin Huiying's words of worry but she paid them no heed as she scoffed. "There's no need for you to worry about me."

She avoided Qin Huiying's hands and maneuvered her way towards Fan Lingxin.

When she arrived, she saw Tang Xinyue and Fan Lingxin staring at her like she was a madman.

"What are you staring at? Go away, I want to talk to Fan Lingxin." She didn't like Tang Xinyue, so she dismissed her.

Tang Xinyue laughed awkwardly before she walked away. She turned her head and looked at Grandma Li.

In her past life, this happened as well. Tang Xinyue and her mother bullied her until Grandma Li arrived. She then drove them away with the intention of talking to her alone.

Of course, this was partly just an excuse that she used to protect Fan Lingxin from the two Tangs.
