Tang Xinyue's head bumped onto a hatch. She rubbed her head and knocked on the metal.

When someone opened the hatch from the other side, she climbed up and searched for a sofa.

The other four followed her and sat on the long sofa as well.

Tang Xinyue felt hot, so it relieved her to know that there was air conditioning inside the room.

"So, you're all here, finally." A voice echoed through the rather large room.

There was a chair that faced the other direction, and a desk in front of that.

"...cliche."

Suddenly, a door opened behind them, and the voice spoke once more. "Qianyun, what do you mean?"

She turned to look at the man speaking, and was stunned by the sight of the immaculate figure in front of her.

This... he is as handsome as Li Xia!

The man walked past the sofa and went straight to the chair. He spun it around and sat on it, resting his arms on the desk in front of him.

"Ye Qianyun, what's your status?"

The man's sudden questioning stunned Tang Xinyue. She did not know how to answer the question.

Putting aside the fact that she didn't inherit any of Tang Xinyue's memories, even if she did, she would still be dumbfounded.

With silence as a response, the man furrowed his eyebrows.

A dangerous aura exuded from him, making her shiver. The man beside her nudged her with his elbow.

"I, umm..."

Before she could continue, the man raised his hand and signaled for her to stop. She zipped her mouth.

He stood up, hands behind his back, and made his way toward Tang Xinyue.

"Uh..." The man's face was directly in front of her. She could hear his breathing, the air going in and out of his nose.

Tang Xinyue looked down to avoid the gaze of the man.

Seeing her action, the man felt displeased. He grabbed Tang Xinyue's chin and dragged it up, forcing her to look into his eyes.

"Ye Qianyun, do your job properly. You want to see them again, right?"

"Wh- who's them?" Terrified of the man before her, Tang Xinyue uttered meekly.

The man stood up straight and walked back to his chair, resting his head on his arms. Only then did he respond, "You know who I'm talking about."

No, I don't! What the heck? Can you stop playing the pronoun game?

"I already arranged for the original Tang Xinyue's body to be disposed, so no evidence can be used against you," the man continued speaking. "All you need to do now, is to steal Li Xia."

"Or else, I might feel the need to do something to them..."

Tang Xinyue felt a terrifying aura coming from the man. She did not know who "they" were, nor did she know what the something he felt the need to do was, but even though this was the case, she wanted to avoid these outcomes if possible.

A cold sweat trickled down her back, making her shiver. For the first time after her reincarnation, Tang Xinyue felt threatened.

After talking to her, the man talked to the other men about matters she had no knowledge of. She did not pay attention. Even if she tried to, her mind, full of thoughts about the man's words earlier, would not allow her to.

"You're all dismissed." The man waved his hand.

Tang Xinyue, still dazed, did not hear the man, and stayed. Only until the last of the four exited did she snap out and stood up.

"Ye Qianyun."

With her back facing the man, she didn't respond.

"Don't fail me."

"Uh, yes..." She hurriedly exited the place, not wanting to stay any further.
