1 1. Why God?

Enduring her pain for more than 8 months Madhuri called out for help when her bubble burst.

" Raghav" she said in a breaking voice holding her belly with one hand and placing another upon the arms of sofa for support.

"Call for an ambulance, I think we need to go to the hospital"

Raghav, a handsome looking young man in his early thirties with sharp jawline and trimmed beard was seated on his rocking chair looking through his phone.

He came running toward her

"just hold it for a while" he said anxiously and called the ambulance.

"God I Know you have given me everything I have asked for and I am very thankful of that but can you please grant me my wish for the last time..." - an elderly lady pressing her palms against each other was on her knees in front of lord Ganesha's sculpture in the hospital.

"Savita!!" ( called someone in his cranky voice) "come quickly Raghav must be panicked, we should be with him at this crucial moment"

Savita followed her husband toward their son who was waiting restlessly in front of the Operation theatre.

He saw his parents running toward him

"Maa- Baba, thank god you came on time. I was so nervous"

" Don't worry son, God is with us everything will go well" - said Mr. Shukla

" I have prayed to my Ganesha. He will take care of everything."

Doctor came out with a broad smile on his face.

"Congratulations it's a baby girl. Both mother and child are healthy."

Raghav was relieved to hear from doctor he jumps in excitement and said

"Can I go inside?"

"Ofcourse you can." said doctor

Mr.Shukla and Raghav were head over heels after listening the news except for Savita. She threw herself on the ground beating her chest she cried as if everything was taken from her.

"why lord why, I believed in you. I was your true devotee can't you even do it for my happiness. Today I lost all my faith in you."

"what are you doing Savita ? Why are you creating a scene in front of everyone. Do you know how happy Raghav is, what do you think he will do when he sees you crying your eyes out. I know you wished for a boy but can't you just pretend to be happy. I don't understand why is it so hard for you." - said Mr.Shukla and went to the cabin.

Raghav was carrying his new born baby, tiny droplet of tears in his eyes felt like a shining pearls in an Ocean. He was so happy to be a father that he couldn't stop smiling with teary eyes. Madhuri was laid on her bed. She always wished for a girl and this baby was the greatest gift she had ever received from God.

" Where is maa?" she questioned curiously in her low voice as she was still in pain.

"She is so happy that she went to the temple outside." - Mr. Shukla hesitantly.
