3 Why Is It You?

Yelena's shock soon turned to an excitement. She hugged the guy who seemed not to know her. At first, the guy was taken aback at the lady's boldness but he soon calm down thinking she hugged him because she was scared.

"I know you are scared but it's not a nice thing to hug strangers especially a stranger of the opposite sex," The guy pats her hair only for Yelena to pull away from his embrace.

"Stranger? Who is the stranger?" Yelena asked staring into those lovely eyes of his she has missed seeing for three decades.

"Riley between us there is no stranger. We have known each other for so long and even became lovers so how could we ever be strangers after the amazing stuffs that happened between us back then?" Yelena said with his smile as she raised her hand to touch his face.

The guy instantly beat her hands away before it could touch his face.

"Sorry but you have gotten the wrong person. I am not Rally or whatever you call his name but I am Caleb," The guy corrected before he turned to leave but Yelena run and hug him from the back.

"I know you must have suffered these years because you saved me but this doesn't mean that you must pretend not to know me because of the misery you went through because of me," Yelena said her grip around his body tightening.

"I have waited and yearned for our reunion for thirty years. You can't do this to me," Yelena said refusing to let go despite the man's struggle to free himself.

Caleb had to struggle with all his might before he could break free from Yelena.

"If I knew that you were a psycho then I wouldn't have bothered saving you," Caleb said before he disappeared into the dark street.

"This is not how I have always imagined our reunion so what the hell is going on? Why is this happening to me?" Yelena thought aloud? If she said she understood what happened moments then she would be a liar.

Just then it occurred to her that she did not ask the man for his number neither does she knows where he lives so she decided to follow him.

All her efforts in finding him will go to waste if he leaves just like that.

After over five minutes of searching the nearby streets for any sign of him, she finally find the mask he wore earlier.

Picking up the masks, she sniffed his scent and that is how she followed his scent to where he lived.

When she lifts her head to check where his scent lead her to, Yelena was surprised to see that it was the same hotel she stays in.

"So he lives here too?" Yelena muttered grinning as she entered the hotel. She began searching for him.

Seven minutes later, coming out of an elevator on the floor her room was after giving up hope of finding him, Yelena got a glimpse of him entering the room opposite hers.

So he was living next door and I didn't even know? What in heaven's name is going on here?

Yelena thought as she approached the door opposite hers. Standing in front of the brown door, Yelena raised her hand to knock on the door but she quickly retract her hand when she recall the look he gave her when she embraced him.

I need to find out whether he really forgot me or his only pretending to forget me... But how could he forget me? We loved each other very much so it's just impossible that he will forget me on a whim.

Yelena standing in front of the man's door thought. She stood out there for over five minutes before she eventually entered her room.

Throughout the night Yelena did not get a wink of sleep. For fear that the guy might disappear as he did thirty years ago, she could not afford to sleep so she stayed up all night. This way she would be able to hear if he opens his door.

She only leave her sitting room when it was time for her to shower and change into a set of new outfits. She resumed her previous position in the sitting room after she had showered and dressed up beautifully in a white tight dress that stops at her knee.

Ten minutes later, the opposite door finally opened and Yelena's sensitive ears picked up the sound. She instantly stationed herself at her door ready to follow him if he wants to leave the room.

He is leaving his room?

Yelena opened the door and peeped outside. True to her guess, she saw him approaching the elevator. Yelena waited for the elevator to open before she came out of her room.

After confirming the floor he was dropping Yelena entered the second elevator. She came down to the ground floor only to see him already at the entrance.

The stubborn lady ran after him. She completely forgot what she told Betty and why she even came to Shanghai in the first place.

Yelena followed him wherever he went. She was discrete when doing this but she soon got found out by the smart guy.

When they reached a secluded place Caleb stopped walking and knowing he would turn around Yelena hid at a corner.

"Aren't you tired of tailing me?" Caleb asked as he turned and face the direction Yelena was hiding.

"If you are an assassin then you must have some other places to go so why continue following me instead of taking action?" Caleb asked. He brought out the pistol he always hid underneath his clothes.

He took silent steps towards where he suspects the person to be hiding. With his pistol in his hands pointing to the direction Yelena hid, he walked closer.

Although he made no sound while walking Yelena felt his presence. She wasn't the type to get scared easily but for some reason, her heart began beating rapidly as he drew closer to her hiding place.

"I am no assassin!" Yelena came out of her hiding place with her hands in the air.

"Why is it you?" Caleb asked his gaze focused on the lady standing in front of him.

"What a coincidence to meet you here," Yelena said forcing on an awkward smile. Her heart began beating normally again when she sees him drop the gun.

"Coincidence!" Caleb asked his piercing glance focused on her face.

"Yes, it's a pleasant coincidence...,"

"Do you think I would believe that nonsense? I have noticed you following me for a long time now but I only pretended not to know," Caleb said as he turned his back at her.

Yes, he felt that someone was following him but he did not know she was the one.

Yelena run to stand in front of him before he could walk away.

"Do you really not know me or are you pretending not to recognise me?" Yelena asked the question that has been on her mind since the moment she saw him again.

"If you are pretending because of some untold circumstances then you can drop the acting. I, Yelena will always stand by you...,"

"Are you someone I should know?" Caleb asked his gaze centred on her eyeballs.
