Bertina went to sit beside the angry Yelena. "Yelena, if it is fate that brought you both together once again then there is nothing that can hinder your reunion so I suggest that you calm down. Don't forget there is a lot that needs to be done," Bertina said in a mellowed tone.

As a person who is always around Yelena, she knows just how much the lady has suffered all these years. She has seen the usual fierce lady cry so many times whenever she recalls the past.

Everything Yelena has done for the past thirty years has revolved around Riley.

Just to make sure that Riley comes back to life, Yelena even made a vow to the tree deity which rumours says is the only one who can grant all wishes.

The price she had to pay for having her wish granted was to get rid of all the bad vampires around the world and no day has Yelena relented in doing this.

She did this like a ritual and this is why she often travels to different countries frequently.

Everything Yelena does was all to guarantee Riley's return so how could she not feel her pains.

She might not have waited for the man she loves for three decades but she understands what Yelena must be passing through and right now the only thing that can momentarily take her mind away from this issue was if she embarks on the mission she promised to.

"Yelena, you informed us before you left that you will be the one to take on Mr Jing because of how dangerous he is. We have been keeping a close eye on him since you were away so I think it's the right time for you to take action," Bertina said in a calm tone.

She lifts her right hand and places them on Yelena's hands lying in her thigh.

"Yelena, I know you must be sad and angry but I don't think this should stop you from doing what you planned, don't forget the more you delay, the more lives Mr Jing is gonna take. All those innocent people who will soon become his next victims need your help."

Seeing that Yelena wouldn't talk Bertina decided to take a different approach to the issue. "As long as you take on the mission, I promise to have our computers guys take on the mission of searching for him. I don't believe they won't be able to find him if they live in the city as his friend told you," Bertina gave Yelena her words and surprisingly Yelena turned to stare at her after she finished speaking.

"You better keep your words or else I will cut off your tongue for daring to deceive me with your sweet words," Yelena said fiercely.

"That is more like it, Yelena. I will work hard to give you the response that you want," replied Bertina playfully. She leaned on Bertina's hand as a way of comforting her.

Despite being sad about Riley's incident she still takes on the task, she promised her men she would do.

To get close access to Mr Jing, a cruel vampire who kills humans at a whim, Yelena infiltrated his restaurant and became his part-time worker.

Yelena while working as Mr Jing's waitress kept a close watch on him. She monitored all the man's movements.

On the night which made her three weeks in his restaurant, Yelena decided that it was the right time to take action against Mr Jing.

The moment the man left the restaurant after his usual working hours were over, Yelena pretended to be sick so she could get off work earlier.

She wasn't surprised that her plans worked since she considered herself a very good actress.

Yelena left the restaurant at about 8:35 pm, five minutes after Mr Jing left on the pretence that he was going home. "Where exactly is he now?" Yelena speaking on the phone asked when she couldn't guess what direction Mr Jing took.

"He is at St Louis street. He is seen following two women," the one at the other end replied concisely.

"Copy that. I am on it now. Call to inform me if he leaves the street before I get there," said Yelena as she began walking in big strides. She disconnected the call to concentrate on the task after the recipient replied to her words.

Yelena on seeing that she wouldn't be able to make it to the mentioned street on time started racing. She run like one been pursued. She didn't care about the way passersby stare at her.

All that was on her mind was to save the two innocent women the man was tailing and afterwards put an end to the wicked vampire.

Yelena slowed down when she had reached the mentioned street. According to their agreement, her men would have called her if Mr Jing had left the street so that means the man was still there.

She had to be careful so as not to fall as prey to the man whose targets according to their investigation has always been women and pretty ones at that.

Yelena walked slowly without making a sound, her eyes examined her surrounding as she walked.

She didn't walk too far when her eyes caught a bloodstain on the ground. Yelena hurried to where the bloodstain was, bent to examine the blood with her fingers.

'It's fresh blood. Damn! I am sure the ladies are in trouble', Yelena cursed within.

Since trying to find Mr Jing and the ladies without her powers will take a longer time, Yelena decided to use her powers.

The longer time she takes to find them the more danger they would be in and she didn't want to take the risk of getting them killed.

The transformed Yelena closed her eyes and let her heightened sense of hearing and smell do their work.

"Gotcha!" An evil grin appears on Yelena's face as she opened her eyes. The moment she opened her eyes, she disappeared only to appear at a place where a big plastic black container was mounted. Because of the height and width of the container, she couldn't see what was going on behind the container.

"I know you are in there so get your ass out of there and show me what you have got," Yelena shouted fiercely.
