2 Ephemeral

Darkness. Eternal darkness, that was what greeted me. However, it was only ephemeral. The sound of the flowing river over the rocky bed was what my mind first understood. I knew I wasn't at home.

The wind greets skin as it would with concrete, yet I am blessed to feel this. It's giddy currents flow through the woodland canopies, oblivious to how it's ancient melody soothes the ears that hear it. The wind, although chaotic, is free, it too has its own path. Even if there are a million possible destination. Yet, it drives forward; with power. No doubts, only a feeling.

Within this expanse of green, with more hues than anyone has ever named it is wild and free. The land rolls, like it has since the beginning of time. As if it feels that time is non-existent. Over it is laid a path, one with branches that usher in a new age.

The forest was ancient. The trees thick and old, roots that were twisted around. The beguile songs that the birds produced captivated and enticed me to venture deep within the forest. It's canopy was so dense that you could only see the occasional streak of sunlight that rarely touched the forest floor.

This place was worthy of being the gods paradise.

This wasn't Earth

Once again, the gargantuan crystalline structure descended within the distance meadow. Small fractals of a myriad colours were reflected off of the frosted glass. However, this time, it didn't hover, but landed
