Birth of World Destroyer

Wain Sageroar was chosen by the God of Chaos, Ollios, in a fit of fury, to serve as a champion tasked with an impossible task to bring about the world's destruction. Without memories, emotions and some common knowledge, Wain became a mere pawn in the grand scheme of gods. Yet, this seemingly insignificant pawn would prove to not be so tiny. Six-star rated quest

"What have I done?!" Kadenn turned back to his normal self, after they entered the Barestone Mountains again. He clutched his head tightly, struggling to comprehend his own actions.

"I think I'm going to throw up." Karin, unable to bear the situation any longer, could not restrain herself and left. Seeing all these people worship Kadenn was just too much for her. Whatever dark magic Wain used to achieve it, she hoped to never get under its effect.

"What is going on?" Wain couldn't understand the behavior of his subordinates. One of them was crunching, holding his head, while the other hid behind a bush.

As Karin struggled with her headache at a nearby tree, while Kadenn was in a state of panic, his expression horrified as he looked at Wain. "I... I have accepted an impossible quest! There is no way we could complete it with just the three of us."

In the adventurer's hall, Kadenn's skill, [Perfect Actor], had taken control over his actions, leading him to accept a quest that greatly exceeded his actual capabilities. Even with Wain's assistance, it was uncertain whether they could complete it. However, if he returned without finishing it, it would ruin his reputation.

Wain was surprised by Kadenn's choice of words. "The three of us?" he questioned. "Are you planning to join the fight as well?" Wain asked since Kadenn had generally taken a more cautious approach during battles, typically staying in the background.

"Huh?!" Realizing his previous wording had been misleading, Kadenn was startled by the idea of directly confronting whatever monster was on the quest. "You're right... how do the two of you plan to handle it?" He changed his words. Despite his lifelong dream to be a hero, he was a coward to the depth of the bone, who wouldn't fight without having an overwhelming advantage.

Understanding he overthought Kadden's words, Wain made his way back to Blackridge Town, leaving Kadden alone.

When Kadenn noticed that Wain and Karin were already some distance ahead, he panicked and hurriedly caught up with them, eager to discover Wain's plans for completing the challenging quest.

Beneath the imposing Barestone Mountains, along the borders of the desolate undead plains, an army of several thousand monsters stood in eerie silence, awaiting Wain's commands, who stood in the lead of this army together with Luarin, Old Potato, Werdell, Rryk, Strusk, and other chieftains.

Before them stretched the bleak and haunting undead plains, filled with the malevolent energy of death. Countless undead creatures roamed the land as far as the eye could see and the atmosphere was laden with sinister murmurs of soul, nobody would normally dare to venture into this place without a good reason.

Meanwhile, Wain's gaze traversed through the undead plains. The objective of Kadden's quest was to eliminate a menacing necromancer responsible for the terror that plagued the vicinity of Oakvale Village, so Wain organized patrols around the area and planned to deal with the undead hordes with his own legions of monsters!

Searching through the expanse of the undead plains, Wain couldn't find the necromancer anywhere. To find their target, they would need to force their way through the army of undeads. However, Wain didn't mind this situation at all. He already tested it and granted him a precious Chaos Point, thus he decided to wipe this place clean.

After becoming the lord of Barestone Mountains, he had restricted options to hunt and although he received many Chaos Points daily from the destructive activities of his subordinates, the speed at which he accumulated Chaos Points was too slow to support his growth.

"Today, we will wipe these plains clear." Wain declared, his resounding voice enveloping his vast army. Although nobody understood the reason behind their ruler's command, they guessed that Wain had some personal grudges against the necromancer and didn't complain.

Given the frailty of the skeletons and their overwhelming numbers, there was little cause for concern as long as they didn't act rashly.

"Luarin, Strusk, you two will follow me, while the rest will deal with the skeletons." Wain commanded, signaling the start of the operation.

Each of the ten chieftains took the lead of their respective troops and descended from the hill, while Wain unleashed [Torrent of Flames], rushing unhindered through the army of skeletons.

The feeble skeletons, who usually had their advantage in numbers, stood no chance against the equally numerous army of monsters, and they instantly got overwhelmed and pushed back, while Wain's forces advanced, steadily clearing the undead plains.

The horde of undead creatures appeared unending, however, Wain effortlessly obliterated everything in his way, receiving a continuous surge of Chaos Points.

The relentless battle raged on for dozens of intense minutes, with the unyielding undead horde slowly being pushed back, their ranks thinning with each passing moment.

Amidst the chaos, Wain relentlessly searched for the necromancer, preserving as much strength as he could for the upcoming battle.

3rd-grade spell, Fire Impact!

With a large explosion of black flames, he broke through the final line of skeletons, unveiling a clearing in which stood a sinister figure shrouded in darkness and surrounded by the tormented souls of the deceased. The necromancer wore a tattered, dark robe adorned with eerie trinkets of bones and skulls.

[Tezar, The Undead] (Undead, middle 3rd-grade)

Level 102

Hp 18,364 / 18,364

Tezar's sunken eyes, set within his deathly pale face, locked onto the approaching trio. "Who are you?" he asked, his hollow voice resonating with a sinister tone.

However, Wain didn't bother answering, casting a devastating 3rd-grade spell [Ravaging Flames], sending forth two serpents of fire that writhed shot towards the necromancer. Subsequently, he used the power of his ring to unleash a triple-cast of [Spears of Flames] in rapid succession.

The necromancer instantly got under a heavy fire from Wain, while Luarin, seizing the opportunity, flew into the air, casting [Dark Blast] and Strusk charged at the necromancer, thrusting his massive spear.

Tezar, The Undead, acted quickly to defend himself. With a quick incantation, he summoned a bony wall in front of him, blocking several spells, however, Wain was already behind him, while Luarin flew above him, so he struggled to block all spells and received significant damage.

Teraz's Hp were dropping at a rapid pace. Both Luarin and Wain possessed strength at 3rd-grade, while Strusk was at the peak of 2nd-grade, which meant that the necromancer held no advantage in terms of raw strength. Moreover, necromancers' strength lay in their undead minions, which weren't strong enough to harm Wain and his allies.

"Arise!" Teraz let out a piercing scream in an attempt to regain the upper hand and tens of skeletons began surfacing from the ground around him.

[Skeleton Guard] (Undead, lower 1st-grade)

Level 36

Hp 447 / 447

The skeletons he summoned appeared slightly stronger than their typical counterparts, with a clearly visible mana core within their chests. "Graagh!" The skeletons emitted low roars as they hurled themselves at Wain and Strusk, while Teraz sent several soul tendrils at Luarin, who was forced to defend before his attack.

However, even these summoned skeletons proved no match for Wain and Strusk. With powerful strikes, they dispatched the undead minions with ease, killing each on one hit. Teraz knew he was in a tight spot. He didn't understand why the ruler of Barestone Mountains suddenly launched this assault against him, but he had no intentions of yielding without putting up a fight.

"Death knight Garratt, come forth!"

Using the time his minions bought him, he summoned a three-meters-tall knight clad in dark armor, from the swirling black mists that surrounded him. "Kill that man for me!" Teraz gnashed his teeth and the death knight charged towards Wain, slashing downwards with his giant greatsword.

[Death Knight, Garratt] (Undead, lower 3rd Grade)

Level 79

Hp 5 692 / 5 692

"Familiar?" Wain recognized the bond Teraz had with the death knight and understood the situation. However, Teraz wasn't the only one who had a familiar.

As Garratt drew near to Wain, the ground beneath him suddenly erupted and several large tentacles wrapped around the death knight's body, stopping his charge before he reached Wain.

[Octader] (Earth Lifeform, higher 3rd-grade)

Level 148

Hp 36,672 / 36,672

Although Wain's talent was incredible for a human, Octader's cheat-like innate ability [Devour] allowed him to grow even faster than his master. Moreover, Octader's stats were even higher than an ordinary beast of the same grade, because he constantly stacked his attributes from the enemies he devoured, so Garratt stood no chance against his strength and got hopelessly dragged underground.

"No way…" Teraz watched in horror as his last trump card was defeated without offering any resistance. The grim reality of his situation shifted from dire to utterly hopeless.

3rd-grade spell, Fire Impact!

Wain dealt with several undeads, who charged at him from all directions, before switching his attention back to Teraz, who had barely a thousand Hp remaining.

With a quick chant, Wain unleashed a spell [Spears of Flames] and ended the necromancer's miserable life.

"System: You have killed Teraz, The Undead, obtaining 3,824,284 experience and 452 Chaos Points."

With Teraz dead, Wain had completed the task for Kadden and all that remained was to deal with the enormous army of monsters and send Kadden back to Cloudgate Town with Teraz's mana core.
