The Beginning Part 2

"What's this? The Gates were not supposed to close." Grey Said.

A Blue holographic window appeared before each of them and it stated their objective.

{Objective: Defeat 200 Enemies}

"What's this blue screen?"

"Kill 200 Enemies?"

(It's just like a video game.)

The Demons come out of hiding and all of them approach the Demons.

"Mid-Demons?! Don't they belong on a B-Rank Dungeon or higher?! What are they possibly doing here in a C-Rank Dungeon?!" Grey asked.

(I know I'm weak but I'm never scared. But with this one, I feel like shitting my pants. I wish my hunch was wrong. How are we supposed to survive this?!)

The Demonic Beasts Slowly walk towards the Hunters.

"To those capable of battle, are you ready?!"

"Right!"

A Few Hunters surround Leo and protect Leo.

"We can't let our Porter die." Said One of the hunters.

"Aren't you happy, we're protecting your weak ass." Said Ava.

"..."

"Attack!"

The other hunters charge in for the Demonic Beasts and the Demonic Beasts let out a roar and charge in for the hunters.

Grey leaps for one of the Demons and cuts it in half but another sends him flying. The other hunters managed to slay a few.

"All that effort for just 10 Demonic Beasts." Said One of the Hunters.

A Demonic Beast jumps off the ceiling and eats off one of the Hunters' heads.

"Shit!"

A Demonic Beast throws a hook and sends Grey back.

"The Demonic Beasts are backing the Hunters into a corner." Said One of the Hunters protecting Leo.

"This isn't going to be an easy raid. That's why I told you to sit this one out, Leo. Now you're going to hold us back." Davis said.

"Davis..."

One of the Demonic Beasts slips past the Hunters fighting and charges in for Leo's group.

Davis charges in and stabs the Demonic Beast by its throat and slashes it down.

"Alright! We managed to kill one!"

"Let's regroup for now."

Grey and the hunters escape from the Demonic Beasts and search for shelter. A Few Minutes later in one of the tunnels in the cave.

{Enemies Defeated: 11/200}

"This blue screen that suddenly appeared for us says we should defeat 200 Demonic Beasts." Grey said.

"Looks like we'll be stuck here for a while." Said one of the hunters.

"I noticed that during our battle with the Demonic Beasts, I noticed one Demonic Beast staying back and giving commands. Maybe he might be the Dungeon Boss." Davis said.

"You're not far off but to Defeat him, we need to make it past the other Demonic Beasts." Grey said.

"Good thing none of our mages or healers died in the first attack."

[Adelbert _ C-Rank Hunter under the Fox Guild]

"We're currently in a C-Rank Dungeon but we're fighting Demonic Beasts of B-Rank Dungeons or higher. Did the Association make a mistake?"

[Elias _ C-Rank Mage under the Fox Guild]

"It doesn't matter whether the Association made a mistake. This is a raid claimed by the Fox Guild. Right now we need to figure out a way how to get out of here. Leo Howard, you're a lucky one." Said Grey.

"... Right...."

"But he's just going to hold us back. Our opponents aren't ordinary opponents." Said Ava.

"Ava, That's enough." Davis said.

"We can't stay in this Dungeon for too long so we'll proceed with caution."

Time is not accurate in a Dungeon but I'm sure it's nighttime. The other hunters fall asleep while Leo and Grey remain awake.

"Aren't you sleeping, Leo?" Grey asked.

"No, sir. I actually can't sleep."

"I understand why you can't sleep. So, Leo, you're currently the weakest hunter and you still go on raids, why is that?"

"...My father was also a member of the Fox Guild, but Before he died, he racked up a huge loan. Now I'm working to pay off the Debt even though I know it's dangerous."

"You're James Howard's son aren't you?"

"Yeah, he's my father."

"I don't think the Guildmaster is making you work to pay off the debt."

"What?!"

"James Howard was one of the greatest hunters and the previous vice Guildmaster of the Fox Guild. When the old Guildmaster was about to pass, he was going to select James Howard as the Guildmaster."

"Really?"

"Juang Han hated your father for that and envied him. But he was unable to kill your father because he was killed by a Demonic Beast during the Gate Outbreak."

"Wait, he didn't hang himself?"

"Yes, he was killed. So Han now wanted to get revenge on James and he learnt that James had children. So he planned on getting his revenge by making his kids suffer."

"So there was no debt to pay?"

"So what are you going to do? Are you going to continue raids?"

"..."

"You may rest for now. After all, I'm in charge of making sure you sleep safe."

"Right..."

Leo lies down and falls asleep.

'What is the Guildmaster thinking making such a young boy go on raids when he has no strength at all?'

On the Second Day in the Dungeon and the hunters prepare to resume the Raid.

"We lost five D-Rank hunters and only managed to kill eleven Demonic Beasts. And there's the Boss who decided to fight on the front lines. We'll attack with full force, just like we started, a few will stay behind and protect the porter." Said Grey.

"Tch."

"With the others, we march forth."

{Enemies Defeated:11/200}

"We'll bring down these Demonic Beasts."

They leave the tunnels and they are spotted by the Demonic Beasts.

"Attack!!"

The Hunters charge in for the Demonic Beasts and leap for them. The mages give Grey a buff and he draws out his sword and stabs one of them but they hammer him to the ground.

Adelbert jumps for it and decapitates it but the other hunters are killed by the Demonic Beasts.

'Damn it, I'm the one leading this raid.' Grey gets to a knee. "I won't let you kill my team!!"

Grey decapitates two Demonic Beasts at the same time.

"I'm Grey Walker, B-Rank Hunter of the Fox Guild. I'm going to defeat you guys and get out of this shit hole!!"

Grey Decapitates another two in a quick flash.

"Mr. Walker is on fire!" Davis said.

(Mr. Walker...)

"Walker can't be the only one on fire." Adelbert said.

The Mages give Adelbert a buff and he charges in for three Demonic Beasts and decapitates them.

Another Demonic Beast appears behind Adelbert but Elias shoots it away with a flame magic blast.

"You okay, Adelbert?" Elias asked.

"Yeah." Adelbert responded.

More Demonic Beasts charge in for them.

"Walker!!!"

"I know."

Grey spins his sword and decapitates three at the same time. The Mages attack the other Demonic Beasts. Time passed and they killed 100 Demonic Beasts.

{Enemies Defeated:100/200}

"100 Down, 100 more to go. We're going to survive this." Grey said.

"Yeah!!!" All the hunters responded.

They charge in for Demonic Beasts and keep taking them down. Sometime later, they defeated almost all of them.

{Enemies Defeated:199/200}

"**Huff** We've defeated 199, Now we're just down to the boss. You're all pretty weak for being mere Mid-Demons." Grey said.

The Demonic Beast sitting on the rock smirks and stands from its seat.

'We've lost eight D-Rank hunters. Now we're going against the boss. I can't risk any more causalities so I'll end it in one fell swoop.'

Grey charges in for the Demonic Beast but the Demonic Beast pushes him back with its aura.

'Damn it! I underestimated it for a second.'

The other hunters charge in for the Demonic Beast but the Demonic Beast wipes them all out in one swing. The D-Rank Mages shoot blasts at the Demonic Beast but the Demonic Beast kills them all in a flash.

'It just reduced our numbers in the blink of an eye.'

(What the hell have I gotten myself into?)

The Demonic Beast leaps for Leo's group.

"Shit!"

Davis steps up and tries to block but he loses his left arm.

"GRAAAHH!!!"

"Davis!!!" Ava shouted.

The Demonic Beast kicks Davis away and stares Leo dead in the eyes and Leo starts to shudder.

The Three healers step forward and protect Leo.

"Porter, get out of here at once."

"Find a different shelter."

"We're not that much of fighters but we'll try to hold it back."

The Demonic Beast decapitates the three healers in a flash.

'It's strong, it's on a different level.' Grey said.

Leo quickly gets up and runs in panic while the Demonic Beast just watches him run. Grey and Adelbert jump the Demonic Beast but the Demonic Beast blocks with one hand and throws a hook sending them both flying. Leo hides behind one of the rocks and is shuddering.

(How in the hell are we supposed to defeat that monster?!)
