5 The Shrine

Zayn got to the end of the hall to see a massive shrine. It was in the middle of the strange looking cave.

The cave now resembled a sort of holy place for worship and ceremonies. The sides were straight and resembled walls with the strange carvings covered in them.

The sides leading toward the shrine had torches across them vertically. As he got closer toward the torch closest to him it suddenly burst into a pillar of blue flames touching the ceiling of the cavern.

Just as the torch touched the ceiling it was also now back into the torch giving off a blue ghoulish light. This then happened to the other torches in a orderly fashion, all the way to the end of the room.

Now that the cave was now lit and had light Zayn was able to see perfectly across the entire cavern.

There were benches facing the shrine with carvings and fancy designs on them.

The now lit shrine also changed. From when it look like a regular rock with markings on it, it now was a statue of some strange being or human who was in fire but not seeming fazed by it.

This disturbed Zayn. Fire was not Zayn's forte. It was something he was scared of and it always hurt him when he had to kindle the fire.

Zayn walked closer to the shrine hearing the taps of his shoes touching the smooth road leading toward the shrine.

Tap, tap, tap, tippity, tap, tap

It was like the shrine was pooling him in, trying to show him something. Zayn couldn't resist this sudden urge to go toward it and curiosity got the better of him.

Now Zayn was right in front of "it". The figure now seemed alive, the eyes were now hazed blue and the fire now thrashing and yelling around the figure.

The figure moved it giant sturdy body toward Zayn. Zayn wanted to run away, he looked into its burning eyes with its menacing smile on its face screamed run. But he couldn't. Some force was making him stay where he was as the figures hand leaned toward him.

Zayn looked down to see the hand right in front of him. The figure slowly opened his hand to reveal ash. Zayn was confused on what "it" was trying to do when the being suddenly blowed the ash into Zayn's face.

That's when it happened. He then fell to the ground and heard a voice as the figure gazed down at Zayn godlike.

"You will be the one to lead the chaos. Everywhere you walk blood will follow your tracks. And everything will be ash."

Then everything went black.

Zayn woke up to feel hot like everything was on fire. And indeed everything was on fire. The figure that was the shrine was gone and in its pace was a blazing fire coming toward him.

Then he heard a voice.

"Ugh, why do I have to with a lowly human..."

He looked up to see a little girl flying through the air. She had blond hair that looked snow white. Her face was a cute face of a kid. She was wearing a garment that was black and red.

"Who are you?" Zayn asked in a confused manor.

She sighed.

"I'm the girl who's going to make you into the most feared being in this universe!" She said with a smile on her face.

Before Zayn could reply back to her why she said that and how it involved him at the entrance to the cavern two mechs walked in.

"Oh sh*t." Zayn said while the two mechs spotted him.

The two towering giant came over to Zayn's position and pointed there artillery at him.

[LOOK 14 WE HAVE FOUND THE STUDENT]

[INDEED 27 NOW WE MUST ELIMINATE THE STUDENT SO NO IMPACT CAN COME OUT OF THIS]

Just as the mech on the right said that time seemed to be frozen.

"Ok so now how are you going to deal with this?" Said the flying girl.

"I don't know, I can't damage them I don't have an ability to harm them at all." Zayn muttered

"Well now you don't!" She giggled and then flew quite literally into Zayn's body and started controlling it. And that's when crap got real.

'Blue inferno' Zayn heard her say in his head

Just then time unfroze and a blue flame abruptly out underneath Zayn and proceeded to chase after the mechs.

The mechs not expecting the student to retaliate got inflamed with the blue fire. Screams could be heard while the mechs stopped functioning and exploded.

With the two mechs gone the girl came out of Zayn and laughed.

"How and why did you do that!" Zayn yelled.

"Questions later *snicker*, we need to get out of here before it collapses on you." She said.

So then Zayn took off running toward the exit with his footprints being burnt out by the amount of heat coming off of him.

Running past all the marking and symbols that now were a bright blue. It looked like a scene form Indiana Jones.

As they got to the hole where he fell into, the girl flew into him again and spouted flames from under his feat and hands which acted like a jet pack and flew him out of the cave.

'Holy sh*t I'm flying!' He thought.

When he got out of the hole he started running toward the tent only to be called out by a really annoying voice that belonged to his sister.

"WHERE WERE YOU?!? DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED I AM?!? I TRIED BLOWING UP THE CAVERN YOU WERE JUST IN!!!" Veronica started yelling about.

Zayn just ignored her and continued running toward the tent trying to get as far away from the hole as possible.

He knew that when mechs were destroyed they sent a signal back to the hanger to alert the general that a mech was destroyed. And if anything they could send more mechs to the location to find out the origin of the destruction.

So Zayn finally got to the tent and waited for her sister to return but for some reason she wasn't returning.
