3 It’s warm

When Zayn woke up in the now gigantic hole he got himself in. Zayn got up and wiped the dirt off himself. Besides from a few scratches, a shot leg, and a hurt bum, Zayn could say he didn't have any major injuries. He couldn't say the same to the mech user.

Zayn went over the mech which was now under a myriad of boulders, while red flowed out toward Zayn. Immediately Zayn puked on the ground and cried. After all this was his doing, if he had never went outside the man would never had died.

He then though about what his sister was doing if she was searching for him or was sleeping to her hearts content.

Even though mechs were huge hulking beasts that could take an anti-tank missile directly at it, its main weakness was the mech user. The only way for the user to have complete control and sight of the mech was to have bullet proof glass where the user was located. This way the user was able to see the battlefield and be able to properly use the mech.

Zayn got over the fact that the man died because of him and decided to find a way out of the cavern. It was a good 50 feet down in the ground so climbing wasn't an option. The only things around him was scrap metal, rocks, and a grave. Zayn then tried screaming out into the world for help but no one came.

The only way for Zayn to go was through the caves. He discovered there were 3 caves to go in. He decided to go through the one in the middle since it was the only one that had lighting.

As he's walking down the middle path, he couldn't complain about how hot he was feeling. It was to the point where he took off his jacket.

'Aren't caves supposed to be cold and chilly with a slight breeze? It feels like an oven in here'

The cave wasn't that big. It was about 15 feet in height and around 10 feet in width. The ceiling of the cave was an indigo colored rock that had carvings over it. The sides had rocks and pebbles farther then the eye could see. The odd part was the ground. Just like the ceiling it was an indigo colored rock but it didn't have the same carvings on it. It didn't even seem like the ground had any texture either. It was a smooth dark blue road as dark as the sky at night.

Zayn couldn't help but wonder why this was and how it happened. To him it felt like a historical sight, with all the symbols and signs on the ceiling. It reminded him of the trip to Egypt. That was one time he actually had fun at a school field trip.

When Zayn was in the 8th grade he had the chance to go to Egypt and see the pyramids. It was a exotic find when he flew there.

The flight was 7 hours long because they were flying over the North Atlantic Ocean which was beauty over head. When the class finally reached Egypt, Zayn was the first to want to see the pyramids.

However the class outvoted him with 4:7 with the winner being the village markets. It felt like an eternity before he got to see inside the pyramids but eventually the class got to it.

The pyramids itself was a sight to behold. The size of the colossal pyramids seemed to have reached the stars.

When Zayn went inside the temple he found himself in a room of paintings and symbols. His teacher then explained to him what they meant.

"Zayn what this means was that the sun god Ra, rode the boat which is our sun, across the sky until it reached the end where he would go to die and then be rejuvenated into himself again to then continue to row the boat of sun."

Zayn was fascinated by what the teacher said. It was a work of art and time. The Egyptians were truly wise people who knew made most of the modern world like the ruler, mathematics, and architecture.

History was Zayn's favorite subject in school. He always learned so much about it and always craved more of it. At one point he wanted to dedicate his entire life into being an historian.

But his sister soon shot that down by saying how it would be terrible in the long term for money and savings.

He was used to her talking to him like that anyway. The duo didn't have all the necessary things to survive in the real world.

They both had to work at a soup kitchen so they could have enough money to afford rent and food but they had just enough money to afford them after a weeks worth of work.

School wasn't best for them either. Since they didn't have that much money they were able to afford enough clothes and shoes. Because of this they had to wear some clothes over again. The twins would be bullied with how they look and smelled.

But since they came to the military school it didn't get better. Since Zayn's sister had a powerful ability she was able to handle herself but Zayn couldn't say the same.

The one thing that was good about the military was that they gave clothes and showers, that's what made the both of them happy.

Zayn started getting toward the end of the cave, he started to see an ominous light coming from the end. Not only that but it seemed like the heat was coming from there.

The light was different from the surrounding light which was a lot dimmer then the one at the end. Thinking this was his chance to escape from the cavern, Zayn started dashing toward the bright light.
