7 Ability? Don’t know her!

It had been at least 14 hours, 37 minutes, and 23 seconds since Zayn was shipped to Wisconsin. In that time frame he went over a few ground ideas to what to do. First off the floating girl that followed him wherever was named Fauna. Second she explained to him what happened to him last night. And third he had an ability but not quite like the others.

Zayn acted like he was listening to Fauna but she was boring him to the core. She kept on blabbering about how he was the chosen one and how he will bla bla bla something something.

But Zayn really didn't care about all of that. What he cared about was what he was going to do at this new school at Wisconsin which currently in view of Zayn. Zayn didn't have a good job with making friends because everyone bullied him for not having an ability.

This time however he had an ability but he didn't know how to use it nor train it. Zayn's just going to have to wait until he can find someone who has the same ability or a similar one.

In the mean time the bus stopped at the Wisconsin site. The site was gigantic and was shining brightly. The bus was right now in front of a hanger that housed all the ships and mechs.

"Ok students, this will be your new site and school from now forward. With this in mind the first thing you guys are going to do is show us your abilities in the hanger right here." Said the Sergeant

"Now get your frosty butts out now!" Yelled the Sergeant

Immediately all the students ran out of the bus. As they entered the hanger they saw a group of mechs on patrol stroll past them. This set some red flags off in Zayn's head. Another student must have seen the face Zayn was making and walked over to him.

"Um, hey are you ok? You have an odd look face on your... face." Said the student

Zayn got out of his daydream and replied "Yeah I'm fine sorry you had to see that." Zayn said

"It's fine, names Jerome pleasure to meet you." Jerome said as he extended his arm out.

"Same here Jerome." Zayn said shaking his hand

That's when a man wearing a black and purple hood walked toward the group of students and proceeded to speak.

"All students follow me to the testing range." The hooded figure said

As the students followed the hooded man, Jerome and Zayn continued to talk.

"Where are you from? And what made you come here?"

"Well I'm from Florida and came here because of something that happened at the site I was on..." Zayn muttered

"Oof something big must have happened for you to move sites. The last time that I can think of students needing to move sites was because of a genocide caused by a rogue monster." Jerome explained

'Interesting' Zayn thought.

"Zayn Miller? Come up to the pedestal please." yelled the hooded figure

"Anyways seems like it's time to get our abilities tested see you around Zayn." Jerome said while walking away

Zayn's hen went over to the hooded figure who called his name and proceeded to do what he said.

"Now tell me, what is your ability or are you from an origin family?" He asked

Zayn thought about this. If he were to tell them he had an ability then they would make him test it out. It was best if he would not give away his ability until he could properly use it.

"No I do not have an ability." Zayn replied

"Then here take this ability book and study it well and come back after a few weeks." The figure said handing Zayn the earth elemental ability book.

"Ok then." Zayn said holding the book.

Walking off to go to the other tests for strength, perception, endurance, and agility. As he went through the tests he couldn't help but think of his body of being so weak. He scored a 5 in strength, 7 for perception, 4 for endurance and when he got to agility which was dodging objects he got hit by every single one of them and got him a 1.

Zayn was thankful when the tests finally ended and he got assigned to his room which he immediately went to.

While going to his room though he saw Jerome standing right outside his dorm room 254.

"So this is your room as well huh? Looks like we're going to be partners." Jerome said to Zayn

When Zayn waited for all the students to get done with their abilities Zayn watched Jerome to see what kind of ability he had. Zayn was amazed when Jerome started using his ability.

Jerome was able to create elemental magic like water, earth, wind, and fire. He could see him using it while he was doing his tests. It was a professional at work was what Zayn thought.

Seeing that Jerome was going to be Zayn's roommate which Zayn had no problems with and if anything he could get advice from Jerome about how to use his fire abilities.

Right now his objective was to get all his belongings that he had from the other site and put them in his room. Carrying the one bag that he has to his room while Jerome had 4 giant bags that he was dragging across the floor with. When they got to the room and went inside it looked pretty decent. The room itself gave enough room for the both to bunk in, the walls were a jet black, the ground had tilling and they also had a shower, TV, bathroom, living room, and kitchen area.

"This room is the best room I've ever had..." Zayn's voice trailed off when he saw the TV.

"Woah they got a TV!" Zayn said excitedly

Jerome couldn't help but chuckle when he heard Zayn say that. It was ironic to him because he lived in a rich family. With power comes money they said. They were the people who's abilities ruled over others.

When they got all of there belongings in there side of the room an announcement could be heard outside.

"ATTENTION ALL 1ST YEAR STUDENTS COME TO THE FIELD OUTSIDE TO RECEIVE YOUR HÜB."

What the announcement was referring to was the thing strapped around some students arms that resembled a giant watch. All students were mandated to have a hüb at all times and if they didn't they would be in massive trouble.

"Well I guess with should both go down there to get that stupid pip-boy." Jerome said holding the door for Zayn

"Right back at ya." Zayn said walking out the door

Jerome laughed at Zayn's comment. Walking down the halls Zayn couldn't help but strike up a conversation.

"So how does your ability work?" Zayn asked

"Well I can't tell you that. If I did I would have to kill you haha." Jerome said

"I understand your question though, my ability works depending on the environment around me. So let's say it's a hot sunny day and I'm very hot, then I'll have an fire ability at my disposal. If I'm in the pool or a lake and I'm wet then I'll be able to control water. When I'm on the ground feeling the earthy soil I'll have an earth ability and so on." Jerome explained

"Well that's pretty cool." Zayn said

"What about you? What's your ability?" Jerome asked

"Oh I... don't have one." Zayn muttered

"Oof that sucks well maybe you'll get a hold of a really strong ability book and use it." Jerome said trying to sound encouraging.

"Well we'll have to see then." Zayn said as they were exited the building and saw the hüb stations in the field.

"Well time to get these things on our arms for the rest of eternity." Zayn said

They walked up to the machines and waited until the person who was in there could get out. It didn't take very long and the students came out of the machine. Zayn walked into the hüb machine he was closest to and same did Jerome.

Entering the hüb machine felt weird because the only thing that was in it was a bench and a screen. Zayn sat down on the bench and at the same time the screen turned on.

The screen then proceeded to play a video telling Zayn why he was going to have a hüb and how it can be used. As the video ends two mechanical claws come out of sides and grip onto Zayn's arms. A third claw then comes out from Zayn's left side and places this giant but comfortable watch on Zayn's left arm.

Zayn then felt the claws letting go of his arms and got up to go out of the station. Jerome also came out around the same time Zayn did but about a minute earlier.

Now that they had there hüb's they were free to do whatever they wanted until the next day where they will start school.
