3 Cheeky Cat

As soon as Divine finished talking the floor fell out from under me and all I could hear was the rushing sounds of the air passing by my face and a sarcastic goddess saying "good luck .. noob".

I arrived in the middle of a small town in a heap wearing rags and a small belt with a pouch hanging off of it. I have to admit I was happy that I had a body but I thought this was supposed to be a game. I looked like I was in a small town in medieval Europe. There was a small handful of buildings 25 at most made with stone walls and thatched roofs set in a ring. If I am being honest I can see how the crazy girl from my hospital got confused, I cannot tell the difference between real life and this little town.

About ten minutes after I arrived another player popped into existence wearing the same thing as me. She immediately put her hand in her satchel and took out a small orb and a map. At this point, you can tell its a game because the orb on its own was bigger than the satchel it came from the opening changing in size to fit the item removed from it. I had been looking around in wonder but these events reminded me that I was in a game and I had one month to see what all the fuss was about not looked at the far too realistic sky. Being honest I had already decided to stay for as long as I could as often as I could, just being able to walk around was fabulous.

I watched the young woman throw the orb on the ground and was amazed as a hound dog appeared and started talking to the girl. They both ran off avoiding the people walking about into a shop. I knew my experience would be different to most people, however, I hoped I could gain some insight from watching other players. I stuck my hand into my satchel and a menu appeared in front of my face with a far too small list of items.

I assumed what I had seemed was someone removing the Local Map and Familiar stone so I did the same. I wasn't sure how to remove things from the bag but as soon as I had the intention of removing the items I could feel them on my figures inside the bag.

I copied what I had seen and chucked the item on the ground. The people around me looked at me like I was an idiot. It was at that point I realized that I couldn't tell if the people around me were people or made up people from the game. I picked the stone up quickly looking at it hoping there were instructions. As soon as I started examining it a screen popped up in my vision with a line connecting it to the stone. The screen had the words assessing item written on it and a bar that was slowly filling. The bar changed and thankfully the details of the item appeared.

All I needed to do was think yes and the stone started to change as I didn't want a hound dog appearing in my hand. I dropped the stone rather inelegantly. Fortunately, the animal that appeared was happy landing on its four paws. I was expecting a dog but I admit I was happier with the black and white cat that appeared before me. It was black all over apart from its belly, paws and nose giving it a little white mustache. Then he spoke in the most upper-class British accent I have ever heard " I the most elegant cat in this world have been stuck with you I want a refund"
