Chapter 03 Seven Deadly Sins

Getting drawn by the voices as he focused intensely on it, his consciousness gradually drifted away from reality before arriving in the middle of a gigantic palace.

"Who are you guys?" staring at the six humans in front of him, Shung Yun asked.

"Is someone in front of us?"

"From what I can see, it seems like someone is in front of us,"

"Do you think we're both having the same dream?"

"Envy, are you seeing what Sloth and I are seeing?"

"If it's a human, then we're both seeing the same thing," Envy said.

"Wrath, what about you?"

"I think we're all seeing the same thing, Greed," Wrath said.

"Lust and I are seeing the same thing,"

"Gluttony, can you really see with all those fats covering your face?" Greed asked with a smile on his face.

"If you badly want some, you can get them by eating as much as I eat," Gluttony said.

"Like I want something so repulsive," Greed said.

"You can't hide your nature, Greed, it's who you are," Gluttony said as he tore off some flesh from the meat in his hand.

"The both of you should focus on the human in front of us," Envy said before looking as Shung Yun, "can you tell us how you came into this place?"

Choosing to go with the flow, Shung Yun said, "I was drawn here by your voices."

"Drawn by our voice. Who understands what he means?" Envy asked her siblings.

"He must be here for me," Lust said as she smiled at Shung Yun.

"Must everything be related to you?" Envy asked angrily.

"Of course. Who can claim to ever be free from me?" Lust said as she looked at Envy.

"Are you saying you can hear us before you came in here?" Greed asked Shung Yun.

"Yes," Shung Yun said.

"How were you hearing us?" Greed asked.

"Through my head," Shung Yun said.

"You're saying you were hearing our voice in your head?" Greed asked.

"That's right," Shung Yun said.

"That means we're in your body," Greed said.

"It's not?" he asked as he saw Shung Yun shaking his head.

"If they're in my body, I shouldn't be able to hear them after I died," Shung Yun thought as he confirmed his hypothesis, "that means they're in my soul."

"You're all in my soul," he said to the bizarre humans in front of him.

"So that's where that bastard caged us," Wrath said as he looked at the ceiling of the palace, "he never intended for us to ever see the outside world again.

"We all knew that," Gluttony said as he indulged in stripping the meat in his hand naked, "but his idea is flawed. As long there's life, we can never be imprisoned."

"Excuse me," Shung Yun said.

"What is it?" Greed asked.

"If I'm not wrong, you all must be among the seven deadly sins in the cosmos," Shung Yun said.

"Is there a problem with that?" Wrath asked.

"If that's so, where's Pride?" Shung Yun asked.

"Behind that door," Envy said as she pointed at the door behind them.

"Why was he separated from you all?" Shung Yun asked.

"Because he almost destroyed this palace when he was with us," Lust said as she stood up from her throne, "and Zhung Xiu can't leave such a problem uncaged."

"They're all chained," Shung Yun thought as he noticed the chain binding Lust's legs and hands.

"That bastard acted like a do-gooder and 'helped' the universe, like he says it, to achieve true peace and eradicate evil." Wrath said as golden lightning surrounded his body.

"You should calm down before you invite Zhung Xiu into this place and interrupt my meal," Gluttony said as he glanced at Wrath.

Brrruuddudddubbb!!

The palace trembled for over four[4] seconds before calming down.

"What was that?" Shung Yun asked as he got up from his pouncing position.

"That's the beginning of evil, my big brother, Pride," Greed said with his eyes on the palace's pillars.

"Won't the palace get destroyed if he continues for a while?" Shung Yun asked.

"He will have to recover from the injury brought by his stubbornness," Sloth said with his eyes closed.

"I think he knows someone who isn't his sibling is here," Envy said.

"Go meet him," Wrath said, "he might figure out something if he communicates with you."

"He won't kill me, right?" Shung Yun asked.

"There's no need to be scared. You aren't even real," Greed said.

"I have no experience in this type of thing," Shung Yun thought as he walked towards the door behind the siblings, "so, if he's lying to me, I won't even know."

"Let me give you a warning," Wrath said, "don't act proud in front of Pride. It provokes him."

"He's prideful in the presence of others, but others can't be prideful in front of him. How arrogant," Shung Yun said as he arrived in front of the door.

"He has the strength to back up his arrogant," Wrath said.

"I'm sure he does," Shung Yun muttered as he entered into the room.

"You're quite weak for an abnormality," Pride said as he looked at the young human in front of him.

"I would prefer 'young' if you care to change the word 'weak'," Shung Yun said as he looked at the being in front of him.

"Calling him human will undermine his beauty," he thought as he stared around him.

"How about I show you the strength required of an abnormality and see if you'll still prefer the word 'young'," Pride said as he raised his hands up, rattling the chains on it before slamming it down of the ground.

Bam!!

Brrruuudddduuuuddduubbbb!!

Unable to keep his foothold on the ground after the show of strength by Pride, Shung Yun fell on the ground.

Boom!!

A horrifying storm cloud appeared above Pride's head as lightning ran through it.

"Bring it on!" Pride roared out as he dragged the chains binding him while standing up.

"He didn't stand when he attacked the palace, but he's now standing when the storm cloud appeared. Is this what pride really is?" Shung Yun thought as he watched Pride receive the storm attack, "not bowing or conceding even if it causes your life."

DrrrrrrBoom!!

Punching the lightning that stroke down on him, Pride kept on standing as blood flowed out of his fist.

"You shouldn't waste your time in staying here," he said as he looked at the storm cloud with no intention to sit back down despite his fatigue, "not even your master can make me look weak in his presence."

After a few seconds of hovering above Pride's head, the storm cloud rode away.

Still standing even after seeing the storm cloud vanishing from his view, Pride looked at Shung Yun before asking, "do you still prefer the word 'young'?"

"Do I have hope to reach your realm without a dantian?" Shung Yun asked instead of answering Pride's question.

"You don't have a dantian?" Pride sounded surprised as he asked.

"Yes," Shung Yun said.

"You're really an abnormality," Pride said as he sat back on the ground.

"So, do I have any hope?" Shung Yun asked again.

"It will depend on how much of a genius you are, how much luck you have, and how much risk you are willing to take," Pride said as he stared at his injury.

"I'm ready to do anything to have power," Shung Yun said.

"And why do you want power?" Pride asked.

"I want to be able to hear the godly song that shut the voices of your siblings whenever I desire," Shung Yun said.

"Were you the one who gave I and my siblings the chance to hear the cry of enlightenment?" Pride asked as an emotion that wasn't pride flashed in his eyes.

"He has his brother, Greed, in him," Shung Yun thought as he nodded to Pride's question.

"How were you able to do that?" Pride asked.

"I listened to the sorrowful cries of those who were been burned alive by fire," Shung Yun said.

"Calling the screams of those in pain a godly song, you definitely have the same mind as I and my siblings," Pride said as he smiled at Shung Yun, "You can call me by my name."

"Isn't your name Pride?" Shung Yun asked with a confused expression on his face."

"Pride isn't my name, it's my personality," Pride said.

"Then, what's your name?" Shung Yun asked curiously.

"Lucifer," Pride said as he looked straight at Shung Yun.
