1 Chapter 1: reborn

"XXXX, XX X XXX XX XXXX!" (Congratulations, it's a healthy boy madam!). After I woke up from what seemed to be a long sleep, I could hear a middle-aged woman's voice beside me.

The woman was talking in a language familiar to me yet I couldn't understand what she seemed to be saying. As I get out of what seems to be a very enclosed space, my memory feels fussy as my five senses are not working properly right now.

'where am I? is this hospital? Why am I here?'

A flash of memory comes to my brain as I remember what happened. I was actually reincarnated! I understand this because I know that I am already dead from being crushed by Tengai Shinsei. As for those who don't know what it means, its simple term is a "meteor".

It was a meteor or around 100 meters in size that luckily fell on my place in Singapore. Based on its size, it can be called big and also small. It is big as it can cause massive destruction that is probably enough to destroy an area with a radius of some kilometers.

Yet it is also small compared to many meteorites in the universe of dozens or even hundreds of kilometers in radius. It was pretty much unavoidable for me and others around me.

The meteor was probably the one said in the news about a meteor shower happening in a hundred years or something. 'Hmmm... strange? How come I somehow remember this being a plot in an anime somewhere?'

Well, it's not like I care about my previous life.

Although in my previous life, I was a pretty smart person and my grades are above average, I was not a genius-level prodigy who can shake the world with his invention or IQ. After all, I only started to focus on my studies after junior high school which eventually failed as anime, manga, and novels came into my life.

I am not a NEET or hardcore otaku who collects figurines, posters, and stuff but more to scientific otaku? (a term I just came up with) It is basically a person with second-grade syndrome who tries to connect magic, supernatural, and sci-fi technology in anime with sciences. So most of the stories that I read or watch are in the fantasy or sci-fi genre.

*Plak* While thinking about some memories of my past before my death, I was slapped in my butt as I heard another voice.

"XXX, XX XXX X XX X?" (strange, why doesn't this kid cry?) Said the one who carried me this whole time after I came out of what seems to be my mother's womb.

I hurriedly mimic the voice of a baby's cry as I know that's what I should do at this moment. I heard that crying after being born will allow the baby to make the fluid that a baby used for breathing in a womb come out from their body so that it doesn't get stuck inside.

"X, XX X X XXX X!" (Ah, looks like he finally cried!)

While mimicking a baby's cry, I analyse the language of this unknown place. After hearing it once more I finally knew what language is used in this place.

'Is this Japanese? Am I reincarnated in Japan?'

I showed my disappointment with my cry as my baby mind can't withstand the slightest emotional disturbance when I feel disappointed. Although I already pretend to be crying, looks like the body undeveloped brains influenced my mind which even able to affect my mature 18 years old mind

After all, when you think you can be reincarnated in another world full of magic, being reincarnated in this world of sciences again feels kinda boring. Although there is a possibility that I reincarnated in a slice of life anime or even a more developed Earth, many will choose the former.

'Well, it is not like there is no advantage. Since I reincarnated again on Earth, I will become a world-class genius like Einstein or create a high-tech company like steve-jobs. I also can't ignore the possibility of getting into a supernatural world like marvel, MHA or others.'

Although I don't get a cheating ability or even being able to use supernatural force, with my adult soul awareness I can start to study from a very young age like a super genius. After all, most of our childhood is used for sleep and play. It is not until around junior high school that we start to really study for real.

I will re-study high school-level subjects as early as possible and possibly try university-level subjects. After all that, I am sure those will give me around a decade of time difference with other peers my age. With that, I can build my foundation to be the number one genius and build my tech company that will dominate the world.

As I was thinking about my future plans, I feel my body being carried toward what seems to be my mother who seems to be of an ordinary family. She seems to be a beautiful figure in their 20s who wears patient clothes on the clinic bed. Although She just gave birth to me, she looks beautiful according to my standards.

Besides my mother, I can also see a blurry figure of a man in their 20s walking from outside the room who seems to be a farmer at a glance. Why blurry? Well it is because my sensory organ is not yet completely developed which is normal. Those reincarnated novel's main characters that are able to use their sensory organs or even able to do all sorts of things after just being born are not scientific!

'Well, looks like both my parents are from a working-class family and getting an education later on might be a little difficult in the future. However, I plan to get some sort of scholarship to further my studies later so this doesn't matter.'

"X XX! X XX X XX XX X X XX. X XX X X XX X XXXX X X XXX." (My baby! He looks so much alike with his father. I hope he can grow up healthily in the future)

"XX X X, X X X XX Nomura Kentarou!" (From now on, You will be named Nomura Kentarou!) said my mother.

'It seems that Nomura Kentarou is my name from now on as these are the only words that sound like a person's name to me.'

"XX! X X X XXX X X X? X XX X XX X XX Nomura Nagato!" (Wait! Why don't you discuss it with me? I think he should be named Nomura Nagato!) cutting my thoughts, the sound of my father came to my ear.

'Wait, what is my name? Is it kentarou or nagato? Whatever it's not like I can change my name. In a way, our name, which is our identity, can't even be chosen by yourself. Looks like it all depends on fate on whether I will have different life experiences in this new world.'

"X! XX X X XX X X XXXX X X! X X XX X X X X XX X X X X X X!" (No, my name is better than yours! If you don't accept, I will not allow you to enter my room!) said my mother while staring at my dad.

"Nani!..." said my father with the most eye catching word in my japanese language.

And with that, I fell asleep after exhausting my mental energy from thinking too much despite being a newborn baby.
