I floated aimlessly as that familiar voice chimed in my mind.
'I'm…alive? No…this place...I'm here once more.'
I was somewhat stunned and didn't know how to take my current situation.

My immaterial form felt nauseous. I remembered everything I was before I was this.
I was Raymond Teller. At 14 I was sent to a mental health facility after I had murdered a fellow student at my school. The victim was a bully. He made my life inconvenient for a few days, so I simply ended the problem.
He died with a pencil in his neck. My classmates and teacher were all witnesses to this fact. I was tested after my arrest and that's how I ended up in the looney bin.
It was a monotonous life there. I lived according to a very rigid schedule. The only thing that made me look forward to my mundane future was anime.
The plethora of characters with hopes and dreams living out their lives gave me a life of my own. Their actions often confused me but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
I spent 7 years in the facility.
On my 21st birthday, I was released. My parents had already disowned me and I had nowhere to go after my release. I sat on a bench and weighed my options. I could kill a passing pedestrian and perhaps return to my prison. But what then? There was no future there.
As I sat in thought, a piercing sound reverberated in my head. It was so shocking and sudden that I fainted instantly. After that was…this.
'I remember now. So that thing at the end…was you?'
