22 Chapter Twenty

He looked up from his meal at me in surprise.

'Really teacher? Why now?'

'A strong enemy has appeared. Earth has been destroyed and your friends are in grave danger. Do you wanna go?'

He lept up with a dangerous expression.

'Let's go. Right now.'

'Very well. But first...'

Gohan's clothes were in tatters. He needed to look presentable at least. I pondered for a moment before materializing Goku Black's outfit.

'Very nice. Oh and what about...'

I carefully shot a thin blade of ki to scar his face.

'What was that for teacher?'

'Now you look like a warrior. Let's go.'

Together we arrived before Goku and Vegeta on the Sacred World of the Kai.

All eyes fell on us.

Kibito Kai yelped in recognition. Seems like he was still alive. Wasn't he supposed to be on Namek? Things were slightly different.

'Rei! Where have you been? The whole universe is in danger! Why did you not help us earlier?'

'Y...you! You're the one who kidnapped Gohan!'

'He's the guy who took my son?'

So many voices overlapped as I was bombarded with questions.

'Jheez. Give it a rest with all that yelling. It's fine now okay? Just sit back and watch. Gohan, go ahead. You can have your reunion later.'

He nodded and focused on the task at hand. He had really changed these years he had trained with me.

He appeared instantly before Kid Buu and dealt a furious blow. Buu's entire torso vanished.

Vegeta was shocked.

'Wh...what power! How is this possible?!'

Buu instantly regenerated his body.

'Hmm...regeneration is it? Then I shall erase you until there is nothing left to regenerate.'

Gohan slowly raised his hand and swung it twice. Before Buu could react his body had been divided into 4. His regeneration worked rapidly to reconnect the body parts but Gohan gave him no time.

He shot out a ki blast with little effort. The amount of raw energy in that blast surpassed even a full powered spirit bomb. Every part of Kid Buu was exterminated.

Goku and Vegeta looked on speechless.

'It..it's over? Just like that?'

'You guys sure made a big deal out of nothing.'

I shook my head at their reactions of shock and disbelief.

'I had my own problems to take care of, Kibito Kai. The matter is dealt with. We good?'

His mouth opened and closed as he stared at where Kid Buu had stood.

'O-of course! I understand! But...who is that man?'

'Hmm? Oh, you mean my disciple? This is Gohan.'

I saw Goku and Vegeta approaching and before I was hit with another wave of questions, I raised my hand.

'Before we get into the details how about we restore the Earth and bring back the deceased?'

They held their tongues as Dende summoned the Namekian dragon and granted the wishes. For the 3rd wish, Goku was healed and restored to full strength. Before long we were all gathered on the lookout. Goku had heard about me from King Kai and was told not to worry, Mr. Popo and Kibito Kai explained how they knew me to the others.

'So he's not a bad guy? But why did he take Gohan?'

'That...I don't know. Care to answer Rei?'

Their expectant gaze fell on me.

'He showed potential.'

'Tha...that's it? You kidnapped my son because he showed potential? Because of you, his mother had to take care of his younger brother alone. A younger brother who he has yet to even meet! Do you think I can just forgive you?'

Goku really let into me.

'It was a spur of the moment decision.'

Before the argument grew more heated, Gohan stepped in.

'Dad, it's okay. Thanks to my teacher I've gotten really strong. Strong enough to defeat anyone who threatens my family or friends ever again.'

It took some effort on his part but he succeded in pacifying Goku. Vegeta stood with his arms crossed drumming his fingers.

'Enough already! Explain boy! How did you get so powerful?'

'Huh? Oh. Training. Teachers training is really effective. I still have a long way to go before I can match him.'

Vegeta looked incredibly irritated.

'Well that's that. Gohan. I guess this is bye for now. I have some other things to take care of. Remember, dont slack off.'

I disappeared before I got further dragged into the drama. Time was pressing. Soon the gods would look into the disappearances of Zamasu and Jiren.

I reappeared on Vampa.

'RoBro. Did you record it all properly?'

[Yes]

'Good. Begin synergizing Jiren and Dabura's power alongside Ultra Instinct.'
