A New Era

In a Coffee Shop near the beach, an old man was smoking while reading the news on holographic screen as he sat on a hovering couch with a metallic outline.

Suddenly

Rumble...Rumble

"Sigh, is it happening again"

Right then a monotonic female voice could be heard

"Danger level 5 detected. Activating emergency protocol."

"AI8 give me a report."

" A few tremors are happening in the tectonic layers and an unknown radiation is being emitted. A huge earthquake is predicted to occur."

"How many had occurred this month?"

"This is the 21st this month sir."

At this moment the hovering couch reached near the beach and an expected scene of hundreds of hovering objects with people atop can be seen.

Then another monotonic gender-neutral voice rang.

"After the earthquake subsides all hovering object with AI8+ shall head to other regions in preparation for the upcoming tsunami."

This voice sent the crowd into nervous murmurs and chatter immediately.

"Its AI7's voice, things are getting out of hand."

"Indeed in the earlier earthquakes AI8 had full authority."

"I'm telling you the end is near, it's near." sob.. sob

As the crowd was panicking,the old man was quietly observing until..

"Sigh, this old man has already worked too much, do I need to take over now too."

Then a black ring appeared on the old man's hand and he ordered

"AI6 activate all the cities spaceships and evacuate as many citizens as possible to space"

"But sir City Lord-"

"It's an order and this is just a temporary measure"

"Yes sir."

While similar scenes were taking place in various parts of the globe, another incident was happening at the core of the planet.

"Sir President, the strange energy we've been detecting for the past month is spreading furiously. I believe we can't stabilize the situation anymore"

"Damn these crazy scientists and their weird experiments, why would any sane person screw with a planet's core. I knew we were not ready enough. It's good we left the planet with the elites of the World Union(WU). Although our situation is not perfect, Mars is already half-terraformed we can restart there."

"But sir what about all the people living on Earth?"

The president's face darkened a little and then said softly, "Well they can only rely on the AI and themselves. Everyone is on their own."

The butler wasn't that surprised abut his master's disregard, as long as he is alive anything is fine in these terrible times.

Remembering how this whole mess started he could not help but exhale in regret.

It all started as the scientists almost conquered all the produced energy on Earth leaving only the Earth's core and humanity considered themselves a Type 1 civilization. In this period humans discovered many resources that helped in a huge technological advancement in every field.

With growing ambition they started to experiment with Earth's core to understand its secrets. But not everything goes as planned, and even with pooling all the resources of the WU a mistake occurred as they didn't know how to deal with an unknown vibrant energy that was discovered to lay dormant in the core. While trying to interact with this new energy, the core was stirred and the energy awakened and became rampant causing this whole mess.

And now at the present, this energy started to leak and the erupted from all around the globe causing the world to change at a visible pace. The world's evolution has finally started.

Many humans started to pass out while the energy nourished their body and soul, others couldn't handle the evolution as either body or soul were worn out or unsuitable mutating into different unintelligent or undead creatures , and some others didn't have any changes remaining bound by their mortality.

Other creatures also absorbed this energy as animals and plants faced the same situation as humans. While some other ancient beings started to absorb energy excitedly in order to wake from their slumber and regain their former strength and glory.

The ground, oceans and air also started to evolve, while the Ozone layers casted a protective barrier around Earth preventing entry and exit of any being for the time being.

While all these changes were taking place, deep in the Ocean below Antarctica in a huge underwater temple, a white haired black eyed middle aged man could be seen sitting in a weird formation made of some shimmering objects that appear out of this world, smiling maniacally while some weird runes are shimmering on his body.

What's more weird is that he has the same symptoms as the humans failing the evolution as his skin became more and more decayed while some flesh was falling off. However, his eyes were becoming more vibrant and taking on a purplish hew. But then he regained his calm and a serious look adorned his face as he commanded.

"AI Alpha, make sure the rune has enough energy during the evolution process.

AI Betta, make sure the tremors outside don't affect the formation.

AI Theta, start the Organic AI chip's surgery to replace my existing chip with an integrating one using the upcoming radiation.

AI Omega, make sure the two treasures are isolated from whatever happens around.

AI Sigma make sure no mistakes occur."

Two treasures could be seen in peculiar points of the formation. One was a blue flame radiating extreme heat at a moment and extreme cold at another this was called Yin-Yang Mystic Flame. The other was an everchanging object taking no specific shape or color, it could look like an ordinary flower a second and the next it would change into a radiant moon or it could even look like a mythical creature etc. In short it could change into anything. Nothing was actually known about this treasure.

On his body a Sand clock shaped rune surrounded by a flowing river could be seen being drawn right on his heart .

"One can never be too careful, but with no risk their can be no worthy rewards."

Looking around at the runes starting to glow up, he couldn't contain his excitement any more as more tremors could be hear outside he started laughing hysterically.

"keheheheh, Finally it's all starting , what I saw back then was indeed no mere hallucination. keheheheh. All my preparations are not in vain, let's see if this risk can pave my foundation to immortality in this New Era. kehehheheh. khahahhahah"
