5 The Turning.

It wasn't hard to find parking for the car, they already had designated parking spots for athletes, perks for being a combat games star; I do hope Zack actually sees the benefits Tryn was talking about on the phone the other day, I really think his school life would turn around with a hobby. He has so much talent, just no outlet.

Speaking of Zack, now that he's back guarding him is top priority, Dad also warned me, he came back with a warning from the monks, 'his transformations will be more out of hand this year than ever before.' Zack hates me guarding him, but if this is a is a sign, it's a sign that needs to be followed.

I rushed forward, thinking of bad omens just makes me feel like it would come into fruition. A crowd started forming in the hallway, not so soon, I did hear him before I saw him, the sound of lockers being thrown and trashed around reverberated through the halls. Accompanied by a person shouting, The Crimson prince is real.

Diving through the crowd, I was privy to stepping on feet and elbowing my way through people, something Zack would never do; he's too considerate. Angry protests rang around the halls as I shoved my way, but it didn't matter once I got through, the hall was in complete utter devastation, the lockers were wrecked with either holes or the doors were ripped out of their hinges. Some even had claw marks etched on the face, along with the tiled floors.

Zack was standing in the middle, he looked a lot bigger, his limbs are abnormally long, he grew taller, and a lot more muscular. His nails looked like they haven't been cut in ages, his uniform was in tatters, he just looks feral, he's like a wolf that stumbled into a university. Littered around him were four boys, with the fifth one crawling away; wrong move, he's drawing Zack's attention towards him.

The serum! I dug through my bag remembering Zack gave me a serum.

In case I turn use this, but I'm warning ya, my transformations now are way worse than a year ago.

Worse is an understatement. Shit, I should've been more prepared, he already warned me.

I felt my hand grasp around the cool cylinder of the syringe. I should be careful not to break this, I only have one shot. Zack was still rampaging behind me, sliding the serum into my shirt pocket I ran to him.

He heard me coming and immediately swung his arm at me, I blocked it with both hands, but the impact still had me flying, he has my flying with one arm, what the fuck. It wasn't the end of it, he's fast too, he was already on top of me; slashing a clawed hand, I'm glad I dodged in time cause he took the tiles off with that one slash.

Gathering my body, I kicked him with both feet in the abdomen, he didn't budge. He grabbed my neck, and lifted me up to his height with one arm, he's taller? Like taller than me. He angled a clawed hand, like preparing for the quick kill, it's like his rage is controlled this time, not the usual ferocity.

While I hanged the most peculiar thing struck me. Zack's eyes they were leaking red from the pupils and bleeding into the irises, it was Aries red, you only get that specific eye color when you ascend, but he hasn't ascended yet. Though this isn't the time to make theories. I concentrated on kicking his lower jaw. It was enough to make him let go of me, not enough to get stunned.

I rolled away and ran the length of the corridor, away from the crowd. I heard him miss and punch the lockers to my right, I didn't have time to look behind he's now fast enough for me to be a turtle compared to him.

The kid crawling away was Mervo? Hope glimmered in his eyes, "Gilera!!" It was Mervo. "Stand up!" I barked to him, Zack was hot on my back.

"Why isn't he down yet? He usually passes out after a couple of swings, but now it's like his motor can go on forever." Mervo yapped even faster when he was panicking

Forever is a stretch, but a couple hours not so much. Zack's chubby because that state of his rapidly burns lipids, it takes so much energy out him that just to recover he goes into a coma, but now with the jump packed full of fats, he'll be fine as long I get this serum in him.

"I think we should start running, and stop yapping." I heard a growl, it didn't sound human. Looking back, he was already bigger than before, towering over us and posed to strike.

I kicked Mervo away and tried blocking with my arms, the punch definitely hurt, the impact almost left my bones broken, I was sent flying, then sliding to the lockers which stopped me. The serum was leaking, the glass must've broke with the punch. As soon as his close enough I have to inject what's left.

Palming the cool glass of the cylinder, it was definitely leaking. Hurry. I shouted his name and he was already towering over me in a flash, I waited for the right moment, then I slammed the syringe down into his shoulder right before he was about to strike me. I aimed as high as I could.

The transformed Zack calmly removed the empty syringe and crushed it in his palms. It didn't work? What why?

Oh yea, you better aim for my neck, anywhere else my blood just boils the meds up before it reaches my head.

Shit, I completely forgot, even so, you're still too damn tall for me to reach your neck. He knew you would've grown five inches with your transformation.

He kicked me in the gut, and I coughed out blood. My vision started dimming, one more and I could be dead, but no, the beast inside him wanted the clean kill, his claws were angled to stab me in the neck; to rip my head clean off.

I don't know if I was hallucinating or it was a miracle, Zack fell limp in front of me. I can't stay awake for much longer, I saw three injections sticking out from his neck and the school nurse?

----------{ half half half half half }----------

There were silver towers of dust, explosions everywhere, enemies surrounding us, people I don't know are littered across the flora, I was grieving their fall, grieving my situation. But there were only two thoughts.

Zoom.

He's getting out.

Zoom!

He's getting out!

Zoom.

He's getting out.

Zoom!

He's getting out!

"Zoom!" I screamed awake. I struggled against the straps that held my arms, my legs, and my head down into place.

"Woah there cowboy. Slow down, I didn't expect you to be awake so soon." It was Dr.Rachel the school nurse, she was obsessed with me and my transformation back then -- she still is.

A headache soon followed my violent awakening, she must've seen my facial reaction since she tossed me an energy drink with a couple of tablets which landed at my sides.

"Take those, you must be dehydrated." I angled the tablet in the light in spite of my straps, sodium phosphide, so these are electrolytes.

"Uhh Doc, I can't really move with these straps on." I moved an arm futilely for emphasis.

"Silly me, I completely forgot." Instead of removing the straps she helped me take the pills and drink some water, I gave her a pleading look and shook the straps a little bit. "Uhh no, you have a habit of running off once you've woken up after a transformation; plus I doubt you can go far, I did drug you with 700 grams of tranquilizer."

"Wait? You drugged me with tranquilizers!?" I moved my fingers out of anxiousness as if it could diffuse the drug in me.

"It worked didn't it? Don't worry so much sweetie, you were so hot I doubt even half of the drug made it past the initial injection."

"Hot?" I blurted out, she always used the word warm not hot.

"You were boiling, a whopping fifty degrees Celsius. Your body was in double time, regeneration, inhuman strength and speed, accelerated growth, heightened senses. You were superhuman."

Yea, an out of control one. "What about the backlash is it worse?"

"Well you followed what I told you, but even with all that stored up fat I don't think it's enough, more so now, your body just uses too much energy in that state."

"Meaning?"

"Look for yourself honey," she pointed a big standing mirror towards me. I look ripped, it's all muscle and veins, like an unhealthy super-model, my body just burned all up my fats I was saving in an instant.

"Why the hell am I shirtless under the blankets again?"

"Your uniform isn't exactly elastic, once you grew too big for them; you can imagine the rest." She said as she recovered me with the blankets.

"Hell, don't we have spare shirts in school?" I was using my smart ass mouth again.

"No, we don't have shirts for a 6'5, 230 pound transformed Zack just lying around."

Six foot five and two-hundred-thirty pounds?! What the actual fuck? "I grew that big?" Was the only thing I could say.

"I did say accelerated growth."

"Sorry I missed the part where you said I grew five inches taller and fifty pounds heavier." I felt angry, angry because I don't like not having a say in what happens to me.

She stood ignorant, she knows I'm being difficult, it's kinda hard not to notice when all my jabs are directed at you.

"Did anyone get hurt?" I can't be a dick and have her going all silent on me, she's the only source of info I have right now, and I don't want to feel guilty.

"Apart from the five kids you've almost killed no one really." I almost killed? So no one is actually dead, right?

"Was Mervo with the five jocks?" I completely forgot about him.

"If you're talking about the talkative fella then no he wasn't, in fact, he's waiting outside, he seems insistent on skipping class just to wait for you."

"An excuse if I ever heard one, I don't blame him, statistics is our first class of the day." That got a laugh out from her.

"But the Gilera athlete was with them. He was trying to stop you with the serum I gave you, too bad he injected you in the shoulder, I would've like to see if it worked."

Roy was? If so I missed one bully, he'll be sure to sully my name, if it wasn't sullied enough from the bystanders who saw me beat the students up. "Is he badly hurt?"

"No, he protected himself well, he got out with some pretty nasty bruises though. You should see the other boys, you fractured one of their necks, any harder you would've killed him."

I smiled to myself, I had the honors of doing that while I was conscious, hehe, but of course we're not going to say that.

"So when would you let me out?" I asked, I hated giving up but I saw no other option.

"Around lunchtime, when all the tests are over." She replied promptly, but I knew she wore that sinister smile on the inside.

I closed my eyes in defeat, let's hope Gilera is fine by lunchtime to get me out of here.
