Trouble Doubles

"I'm sorry". Athena's sincere words didn't reached Gorga's compassion who is only in front of her teary-eyed face and never will be.

She only clenched her fist. In her eyes the grudge and grief she felt always erupts between her mouth. An animal desiring to torment her enemy limb by limb. But she can't, for all eyes of the students wishing for entertainment are on them with the scent of no mercy at the hall.

Athena couldn't stand but chose to stay at the floor after being pushed.

"Apologizing will not bring the dead back. You're just going to tell one single name for Pete's sake but you couldn't!"

"Come on, don't waste your time for some squeaky head. Cowards can't talk, remember" Kaily hissed. But her interruption is not beneficial for Gorga. She did this to make a move then knelt to face closer to Athena. She lifted her hands full of jewelry in every finger tips high at the atmosphere. Before Athena could cover her face she was already slapped where her cheeks now cried in pain.

She's is aware that she's not guilty but not innocent either. She witnessed the death of her friend in front of her own eyes. Where her own feet didn't followed the command of her heart to save her.

She knows the killer and the worst part is she already manipulated the twin sister's victim. A killer that have the guts to slap others, a remorseful joke.

Being weak is a despicable trait. It pulls you at a suffocating fear where rising up will only drown you at the depths. Athena only shut herself in silence, that's her talent. Defending herself will only brought matters worse.

Even the atmosphere around show no pitiness at her state. Only smiles that pushed her in humiliation.

Her highschool life was unfortunate and only games coped her misery. But the usual peaceful entrance of loneliness, morphed. Before she could unlock the fence a voice of multiple kids bangled her ears. Her troubled days doubles.

"Darn kids! Get away! Or else I'll.."

Three kids that always visit the old neighbor not to greet but distrupt the form of every bush leaving a dread appearance to his garden.

He is already weak to face off against those little rascals. Despite living at this street for almost two decades, his name was still a mystery. Only his physical features are recognizable. Timeworn skin and his notable snow-white beard. Curved back posture while holding a traditional bamboo cane to support his movement. However these naughty kids never recognize the word respect.

"What oldman? Pick a stick and beat us up?"

"You can't even walk properly"

"You're just good for nothing, that's why your grandson left you."

If this is a trashtalk battle those kids took the achievement. Still, at that moment the old man's crippled eyes went dark as black night. His frequent emotionless gaze is absent, revealing a roaring expression.

Athena's memories for other people have no space reserved in her mind but his grandson stood out.

First love do exist yet he's the last.

"Don't drag my grandson here-" he stopped and almost fell at the ground while his palms are placed at his heart. Continuous short of breath and then knelt at the grass allowing to breathe more oxygen after releasing to much angst.

Athena has no bravery to confront other people, even kids. Her fear never fails to grab her down. That's what she thought, now ended up in front of them.

No clue where she found confidence. She even have a belief that this word shall not exist but here she is now.

The three kids took glances with each other for this is their first time to encounter a bruised girl; for the past days of having fun of other people's lives.

Athena closed her eyes, took a deep breath, gathering all possible determination inside her body and blowed. "You three dimwits better scatter off or else I'm going to cook all of you alive!!!!"

Their faces dropped in tremble. With mouths failed to talk back boastfully. Their pride faded and shifted to a person that had their souls being sucked.

"Ahh!!!!!! A Zombie!!!!!!!" They all stormed out like rats that are being chased by wild cats around the corner.

After that anxiety lived inside her. Overthinking if their parents would charge at her house or report to the police and many other frightening events.

She strolled back to her house but her first step was her last when someone tapped her shoulder, it's the oldman.

"As a token of my gratitude" he held Athena's palm open and offered something that left her awestruck.

A video game.

That brought a smile to Athena that she rarely show to other for her memories of childhood went back.

The game she used to play with her mother before she died ten years ago.

"I'm glad you like it. Hakuna Matata." the oldman then smiled almost reaching his ears out of delight.

She smiled back and never forgotten to show gratitude. The last word almost drop a tear in her eyes. Her mother would always say that. She bowed and once she raised her head, there's already no one in front.

"He sure has fast feet though" she whispered and went home, finally.

When the night brought inside her room that's her cue to play the Mafia's assassination. Where all Mafia's are fighting against each other and whoever wins will be the bride of her daughter. The Mc is her daughter and she disguised herself as one of the contestants planning to kill her own father.

She still played it not withstanding the hundredth time of already finished game.

Nevertheless, once you killed your father, you'll be killed also because it's just an impostor all along. No matter what event, one ending only exist, the mc will be killed.

Morover, the mc is not only intelligently cool but also strong and beautiful. Opposite of her trait. This game really helped her escape reality. The strength she gained but not in the real existence.

That's the reason why Athena never dropped this game

"I won!!!". She rejoiced as she jumped in the air then landed at the soft bed. Not only the pillow flew, another object also hit the marble ceiling and the next was a huge mistake. She looked at it to answer her one question of what was it? Before she could even take a good observation it just smacked a direct hit on her face.

First she was slapped and now smacked.

"The h*CK?!!!" She rubbed her forehead guessing the jewel case surely imprinted at her face. She sensed her death is about to come even if she is exaggerating,bthe pain is still present.

After those dramatic events she realized her childhood video game was the one to be blamed.

The Deities of the Sevens. About an Emperor with seven sons and plans to get the right bride for each of them. Inviting lucky seven dutchess where all of them will play a game to know who are the future brides and grooms fit for one another. The couple winner will be declared as the next emperor and empress.

She may not remember every single detail, though the mc ended up in a reverse harem play. For all of those boys only want her to be their bride so they fought. But she lived happily ever after to one guy who almost resembles as a heartless cruel beast.

Turning back now, maybe she'll wept in tears for this game left her many past moments and bonds of her mother.

She yawned after those too many thoughts and should hit the sack.

Laziness took over her body. She threw the game consoler at the desk for it is out of her reach. Then crawled at the edge of the bed. Plugged out the wire by pulling it although not by the outlet.

She is definitely too tired for complicated doings.

Took of the CD from the DVD player and put it inside the jewel case, on the contrary she didn't sealed it. Then along with the other game she threw it backwards like an all star basketball player. After those dumb actions she leaned backward carelessly landing on the fluffy bed as the pillow bounces.

Then shut her eyes to start her deep slumber. She peacefully zone off .

She didn't realized her cd landed at the glass of water, soaked. Producing sounds of an electrified object that will surely eradicate the game resulting to a glitch.

Radiance shone at her window woke her up. Then a slight glace to the clock ruined her mood

"I'm gonna die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She shrieked then took her alarm clock closer to her eyes. She counted every digit where the hand clock stopped to confirm her tardiness.

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10.  10 at the hour side

The other hand clock.

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. 9 times 5 equals 45.

It's 10:45....

That resulted to severe panic to her. "The h*CK!!! I'm so dead!!!!!!!!!!!"

She went out of bed quick while she kicked the tangled quilt wrapped around her  other feet. Then put her  alarm clock at its original place. Then  beside it almost made her soul get separated at her whole body.

"F*CK." She internally swore

She pulled it out immediately. Took the two precious video game PS4 out that sh*tty water inside the glass. Her face traced an expression of furry and worry.

Precious things that are took away is like a life of a goner.

"My precious sweet game  was swimming all along at the water, I'm so lucky. Thanks world for making my life more miserable." She grunted.

She wiped the CD  using a tissue. But she saw a writing at the Deities of the Sevens CD.

Hakuna Matata

"This is mother's writing" she wondered. Her childhood memories were a blur but this CD is not a coincidence. "It's ours" she thought.

She wanted to ask the old man in the neighborhood. Even if she is an introvert that will not stop her. She stood up heading to the door. Before she can twist the knob, someone already pushed the door bell.

"May I help you--"

Sometimes not every knock is worth to be opened for.

"I think you're the one who needs help. Get her!" A man in a black jacket, black shades and a black helmet ordered. Similar to a soldier. Athena didn't dare to move for a shotgun is pointing at her shivered face.

English is not my first language so expect some misspelled words and grammatical errors but I'll do my best to edit it close to perfection. I'm still a begginer as a writer and I do hope I could met close enough the standards of a good novel.
