3 Word of Caution

Stella's POV

Just what I've been looking for for a very long time. I've been in Alice's condo for the past few days, doing nothing but watching the cats. As a result, I was able to ease my transition into college by not rushing to arrive at my first class.

For three weeks, I felt like I was living in a palace in Alice's condo. Free food, no shared room, and no bus journey home are just a few of the perks that come with living in this luxurious condo. I can do whatever I want and not be bothered.

My care of the cats has always been welcomed by them. They may already be missing Alice, but I never let them down because I'm always with them, except when I'm on campus, but the pet tracking app keeps me linked to them even when I'm at lectures and labs.

"This is what I've been waiting for." Even after I leave college, I know that I will never forget these feelings of joy.

It seems as if the man in the other condo has vanished from view or earshot of mine. That's also good because he's the kind of person that treats animals badly and can act better than women. As a result, he's a guy that women should steer clear of.

In front of his door the other day, he talked in a deep, guttural voice that resonated through me. To my utter shock and disbelief, he stared directly at me, his lips caressing each letter of his words with almost deliberate slowness. I got the sense he wasn't simply giving me a casual glance. When he looked at me, it felt like he was undressing me with each look.

In the shortest time possible, I must flee from him.

Fortunately, I haven't yet encountered him on this floor. I'd feel safer in such a scenario. Taking a bath in a luxury Jacuzzi tub is my ultimate goal for today, but first and foremost, I have to feed Alice's cats so that they don't get hungry before she gets home, and to prevent me from losing my job.

I hurriedly got out of bed and began feeding them. They are expected to be provided. Different kinds of food are consumed by each of the cats. After I fed them, I escorted them to their room. Their room is bigger than my room as usual. As soon as I finished arranging their bedding, I put their toys on the floor. When they're playing, they're at peace with each other. They don't bother me in the slightest, which is a good thing for me.

When I looked at the time, I realized it was time for me to use the much-anticipated Jacuzzi tub. The Jacuzzi was filled to the brim and I added lavender aromatherapy bath salts and scented candles to create a relaxing atmosphere before getting in. Close to the tub, my towel was neatly folded and my bedroom slippers were on the floor.

In a serene smile, I curved my lips. I shut off the ceiling lights. Unbuttoning the hook on my bra, I arranged my cotton underwear next to my bedroom slippers on the floor and took off all of my outerwear. The air's pleasant moisture caresses my bare skin, lifting my spirits. For balance, I dip one finger into the bathwater while keeping my other hand in the bath support grip. Temperatures are just right. I drew a deep breath, climbed into the tub, and slowly submerged myself. I put my head down and reached for the timer, closing my eyes.

I'd only been in the Jacuzzi for a few minutes when I heard a huge smash in the corridor outside of it. A towel was wrapped around my body as soon as I could get in the tub. Quickly, I raced inside their room to see if they were okay.

"Luca? Luna? Tucker?" As soon as the door swung open, I shouted out in a panic.

In the beginning, Luna and Tucker were already in the room, but Luca wasn't. Luca was nowhere to be found, so I left their room immediately. There's no sign of him on the second floor, either. As I made my way down the stairwell to Alice's master bedroom, I took a look around the hallway outside the formal dining room. I was astonished to find the balcony door open. My heart sank as I saw Luca sleeping next to a purple heart plant vase on Sebastian's balcony, and I dashed outside to see what was going on.

I hiss, my teeth clenched, "Luca, come here."

What I witnessed left me perplexed and disappointed. I don't know why he won't listen to what I say. He just stood there staring at me, without even trying to go closer. Even though the vase was still some distance away, he stepped closer to it. It was too late for me to stop him with a strong bite of my lower lip.

Shit.

The vase shattered on Sebastian's balcony. Because of all of this, I don't know what I should do now.

"Who is that? What's happening outside? "

As soon as I heard Sebastian's voice coming from the sliding door behind me, my entire body froze in place.

Shit. What will I do next?

I apologize and bend over with a slight tilt of my head to look at him. "Mr. Miller, I am very sorry, there is a minor incident that occurred when Luca escaped from the condo. On the other hand, Luca somehow managed to break your balcony vase."

He doesn't speak anything. He fixed his steely glare on me with narrowed eyes. He was clearly unhappy. He has the sliding door handle in a death grip with one hand fisted to his side.

A lot of things are going wrong for me right now.

Luca made the situation even worse by slamming his furry body into Sebastian's pants as he approached him.

However, Sebastian's demeanor remains cold and quiet. As his frown suggests, he's probably muttering a never-ending stream of obscenities in his head.

I hurriedly walk and take Luca from him. "Mr. Miller, please accept my apologies. I'll not do it again. "As much as I didn't know how I was going to keep my word, I made a commitment nevertheless.

Sebastian's gaze followed the curve of my chin as I carried Luca in my arms. When he looked at me, I think I trembled, or maybe I was simply cold.

To be sure, the weather is chilly, and I'm only wearing a towel at the moment. Shit. I'm not sure why it escaped my attention that thing. As a result of my haste to locate Luca, I failed to put on any clothes. He had full access to every part of my body, from my neck to my knees. My embarrassment is so overwhelming that I can barely stand it. The thought of having to confront him in this situation makes my cheeks heat. All I can do for now is cover my breasts with my arm and elbow to at least somewhat conceal my nakedness.

He hasn't even tried to avert his eyes from mine yet. My breasts are the first places he sees before returning to my eyes.

"It's time for you to bring your kitty home." Definitely, he said.

I headed over to Alice's apartment after nodding my head in accord with what he had to say. I was ready to unlock the door when I realized I had closed it earlier since I was in a hurry to get Luca and I forgot to bring the key with me.

I kept an anxious eye out for Sebastian. If I didn't approach him and ask for help, I was going to die in the minus temperatures outside the condo. Slowly, I drew closer to him as he cleaned the damaged vase on his balcony.

"The door to Alice's condo is locked. In my haste to get Luca, I left the key at home. I'm very sorry."

He screams, "Oh, for fuck's sake! Go inside my condo. I'll use the security desk phone to contact the appropriate authorities. All units have access to a master key."

I brush against the back of his hand as I enter his condo, which has its elbow resting on the door. My lungs feel like they've been suffocated. Suddenly, something smacks through me like a freight train, but I don't know what it is. Maybe it's just a case of attraction. Alternatively, just a lust.

To my amazement, Sebastian continues to block my entrance by placing his arm over the doorway. "This is your final warning," he says in a threatening baritone.

"What you trying to say?" I ask in whispered tones, nearly.

"I don't want that squishy cat on my property."

I reassure him, "I will."

"Good, because I'll make sure you pay if it happens again."

"One final word of caution. Make sure you do this or face consequences." He repeated his words.

I screamed, "Yes... I promise."

I can smell the expensive perfume wafting from somewhere about his jaw as he brings his head closer to me.

I can't think of a decent response at this time. Do these wealthy people know that I'm an undergrad trying to finish my college degree by pet-sitting, while my father is a carpenter and my mother is a housekeeper? But his threat has had an effect on me anyway. The moment I return to Alice, I promise myself that the balcony doors will be secured immediately to prevent Sebastian Miller's rage.
