42 THE END OF COSHLEY

"Aarrgh!" Cole screamed in frustration while smashing the laptop close. He closed it so violently that the screen made a cracking sound. This was not satisfactory to him; he was certain that he was not going to use this same laptop that reminded him of what she had gone through. He finally whined the car window down and threw it out.

The silence in the car was so threatening to both the driver and Kim Bryon who tried as much as possible not to make a sound or touch him.

"Aren't we there yet?" Cole scowled at the driver.

"We're almost there sir."

It had been a really long time since they both saw Cole this angry. He normally didn't always lose his temper; he was always cool and cold.

He knew he was supposed to be happy but how could he be? The way she screamed his name for help haunted him so badly, why wasn't he there for her? She had always been there for him from the beginning.
