Ring ring...

I looked at the caller id, Dad...

I parked my car on the side of the bridge and answered the call.

"Hello, dad! I am just heading home." I said into the phone.

"I am sorry, Isabella! I am really sorry.." he said.

I got out of my car, panicking. Dad never takes my full name!

"What's the matter, dad?" I asked panicked.

"Please forgive your dad. He couldn't do anything. I really tried my best, Bella. Really! But, now nothing can help us!" he said his voice breaking.

Tears rolled down my cheeks. I don't know what's going on but hearing dad's voice I know it's a big thing and dad sounds so helpless.

"Dad... you are scaring me.. please.. what's going on?" I asked shaking.

"Baby, just remember that dad really loves you a lot. He tried his best just for you but.. I am sorry..." he said and hang up the call.

"Dad!! DAD!!!!" I shouted on the phone only to hear beep beep after being hanged up.

I stood there with tears rolling down my cheeks as I stared at my phone, my mind blank.

No!! I can't just stand here and do nothing. I need to go and ask dad what is going on.

I wiped my tears and opened the car door.

Ring... ring...

I looked at the caller id.. it's Adam... dad's secretary.

I picked up the call.

"Adam! Thank God you called!" I said to him.

"Miss. Carter, where are you?" he asked me in a serious tone.

"I am on the Brooklyn Bridge. I was just heading home for the weekend. That's not important now! Dad called and he was acting weird." I exclaimed.

"Don't come home! Go back to your apartment in Manhattan, take your passport and leave for Australia. Go to your aunt, Mrs. Becker's house." he said.

"What?! Why?!! What is going on here???" I asked him shocked.

What exactly is going on here?

"There is no time to explain anything... please just leave the county as soon as you can! Please! I will tell you other things later." he said sighing.

"I want to meet dad! He is not himself right now. I have to be with him!" I said shaking my head.

"I beg of you Miss. Carter! Please just do as am saying. Please!" he said almost pleading.

"Ok." I said giving in.

There must really be something huge going on and he is hiding it from me. And I think it will be good for me to listen to them for now.

I sat in the car and took a U-turn to go back to Manhattan.

I will call dad as soon as I reach Australia and will ask him about the things that is going on here.

"Ahhh!!!!" I said as I suddenly put a brake when a car cut me and stopped in front of mine blocking my way.

"What the!!!" I said as I got out of my car ready to teach that person a lesson.

I went towards the car. Why is no one coming out? Is the driver hurt?

I knocked on the window, trying to look inside the black window glass.

Suddenly, the back seat door opened and two guys grabbed my arms.

"Hey!!" I shouted.

"Leave me!!!" I said struggling.

I felt a needle on my arm and lost consciousness.
