9 The Caring

MINDI'S POV

Walking along the poolside walkway with Jocie to my right, and Val and Adrianna in-front.

Val had just asked us again about round two of drinking in the suite. Since she hadn't got her desired respond from us a few minutes ago.

Tunning out the conversation

I glanced over my left shoulder to check on Jordyn's progress. Who's singing BTS's IDOL while swaying back and forth behind us.

*Sigh*

I hung back to wait on her. Snagging a glimpse of the time(2:56 AM) on my phone. Then glancing back up.

"You alright?" I asked. She smiled back at me. "Super" She said as she stumbled forward.

I barely managed to grab her arm while slinging it around my shoulder. "Why'd you drink so much?" I asked.

"Cause it's LA, baby and I'm down for round two!" she said before stumbling some more.

Which caused me to heft more of her body weight on my shoulder.

"Hey careful" I said. "Aww, Mindi you're no fun". She said slumping closer to my face.

"Hey! Mindi your counselor is showing" said Adreanna over her shoulder. "Well what are you?" I said still struggling with Jordyn.

"You're dragging, Mindi" shouted Val. Give me a break!"I said

"Im dragging dead wait, back here." I finshed with a grumble.

Jocie jogged back to me while Adreanna and Val continued on back towards our rooms. Continiously bickering, back and forth about sleeping or rading the hotel sutie's minibar.

"Here stop. Turn around" Jocie said while take the full weight of Jordyn. "About time" I said.

"Now squat down"

"I don't think this will help..." I said while bending down.

*ploop

She had placed Jordyn onto my back.

"Ya, why am I now a pack mule".

"Cause you're the one who was involved in throwing and catching people in school" said Jocie with a wink.

*Jezz you make me sound like the hulk or a bully when you say it like that.

"Isn't that what Cheerleaders were in school, though" she said.

"touche" I thought, remembering members of my squad.

*aish

"But you're too cruel. I really thought you were going to help".

"I am by not letting your arm break off", she said with a wink.

"Such a kind hearted nurse you are" I said.

"Ah yes, Almost there". I thought

hur^ hur^ hur^ (Dry heaving noise)

"Don't you even dare!" I said hurrying towards the nearest lounge chair.

Just plopping Jordyn down. When... *blarg... sploosh*

I turned back towards, Jocie. "I'm not carrying her in, like this".

"I wasn't going to suggest, you should" said Jocie with a sigh.

Just standing around looking at Jordyn and our surroundings.

Jocie shifting from side to side.

She yawned.

"Hey, its cool if you go in. I'll sit down here with her" I said crouching down while unzipping my boots.

"Alright" she said with a conflicted look. "I'm going to your room to make sure Val stays conscious. Call if you need me" she said while taking my boots with her. ***
