14 Diverging and Converging In LA Part 2

MINDI'S POV

Val is heading straight to the dance dance revolution game machine.

My eyes expanding with shock. I slowly follow behind her. Stopping beside the two guys, while Val continued on her way onto the dancing machine.

"Hey."

I tilted my head slightly to my right and glanced to my left.

"I'm secretly rooting for your friend. Since I just got beat" said the guy smiling.

"Hopefully, your friend will keep him from having the pleaure of beating me, next" said another guy beside him. Whom had leaned forward to address me around his friend.

"Not much of a dancer?" I asked.

"Not my best skill, to be honest" he said smiling shyly.

"We're kind of referred to as the worst dancers in our group" said the other guy chiming back in.

"Oh... Well I have faith in Val's dancing but I can't be sure of your friend's dancing skills. So fingers crossed then." I said looking back at the guy on the machine.

"Oh, man. I was so close" said the guy stepping down off the machine.

"Not even" said Val also stepping down.

"Hey. High five for beating the little punk" said the guy beside of me. Whom stepped forward high fiving, Val".

"Hey! What the heck bro" said the guy that got beat.

"Mindi, Val! Lets go to the aquarium" said Adreanna coming over to join us.

"What about the other's?" I said indicating my head to Meghan playing skee ball with Jocie, and Shaneon and Jordyn in the Halo game machine.

"They'll be fine. Will meet them at Pacific Park at 8:00 PM" said Val.

"Bro's let go too!" said the guy smiling with the boxy smile. "Ya! don't just invite yourself..." said the guy with symmetrical features. "It's polite to introduce oneself, first" said the other guy.

"Oh right. I'm..."

"Ahem"

"Tae". He said touching the brim of his hat.

"Val"...."Adreanna".... "Mindi" we each responded individually.

"J" said the guy with symmetrical features. Who also pulled on the brim of his hat.

"Joon" said the guy pushing up his large sunglasses onto the bridge of his nose. Then reaching a hand out to us, individually.

Stretching my hand to take Joon's offered hand....

"Bro's" said a guy coming over and another trailing behind.

"Oh! Jim..." said Tae startled as J threw his arm around his shoulder.

"Ahh this is Jim and.... Seo?" said Joon given the two new comers and intense stare.

"Ah yeah. That's me, Seo" the guy said while running his hand on the back of his neck up to the back of his baseball cap.

I glanced at the only guy who must be Jim.

"Ahh!" he said as his eyes expanded and pulling on his facial mask. "Your the girl from this morning".

Oh he's the cutie from this morning, I thought recognizing his pink tinted brown hair.

"You know each other?" said Val with an all knowing look.

"Familar with but I don't know him". I said

"That's confusing. You do or you don't" said Adreanna throwing her arm on Val's shoulder.

"Hmm. I thought you looked familiar" said Joon. "You're the girl that rescued Jim from the pool".

"What!" exclaimed Tae, Val and Adreanna.

"Yeah us three (Joon, Seo and me) were there". said J

"So you're the girl...." Jim gave Tae a death glare. "he thanked this morning for pulling him out of the pool"....

"Yeah..." I said

Then quickly changing the topic and avoiding my friends' piercing gazes. "So I'll go tell Jocie and Meghan where we're going and that will meet the four of them at 8:00 in Pacific Park".

"...." *a lul in the conversation

"So... We're going with them to the aquarium" said Tae.

"Oh..." said Seo. "Really" said Jim. Who both gave Joon and J a questioning glance.

Not disputing Tae's claims.

Seo then stated, "Hey. Then I'm going to run over to the basketball fever game and ask... Yoo and... Jung. If they want to join".

"Okay... So just the seven of us?" I asked glancing between the others for Seo.

"Yeah the other three want to play some more" said J throwing his arm on Joon's shoulder.

In the Aquarium

In front walking, J is in between Tae and Adreanna. Tae who is laughing with one hand covering his face and the other hand holding up the opposite arm.

Opposite him is Adreanna, who is flat out laughing.

Behind them walking together is Jim, who is also laughing full out and Val, who's cracking a smile while looking at Jim.

"He's telling dad jokes" said Joon indicating his head to J. "Ahh" I responded with a slight nod.

Glancing at joon out of the corner of my eye. *Thinking, "This guy looks so familiar but why?".

"What is it?" Joon said.

"Oh, Im sorry. Its just you look familiar too me".

"Oh really?" said Joon chuckling. Then lifting his hat of his head by the brim and ruffling his bangs which hung around his sunglasses.

"That's it!" I exclaimed which made him jerk his head towards me.

"You're that guy from the airport last night".

He slightly turned his head examining my face. Recognition lighting up in his eyes as he said "You're the girl. I bumped into".

"Yea..." I said shyly remembering, how close I was to splatting on the floor. "I'm still very thankful for your steady helping hand at that time".

"Who has a steady hand? Not this guy." said J pushing his forearm into Joon's upper left arm. "Yeah. He's not called the god of destruction for nothing" said Tae bounding over to us with Val moving to my free side.

"Hey guys. They're closing" exclaimed Jim. "You mean already closed" corrected Adreanna. "We ran into a night duty staff that was dumbfounded that we were still in here".

"Guess will head out first then" said J extending his arm around Joon to hurry him up towards the expecting Aquarium night staff. Jim, Adreanna and Tae followed closely behind.

Leaving Val and me trailing behind. "So spill. We didn't distract those three for nothing..."

"Oh please... You both enjoyed spending time with those hotties". I responded.

"You right. Maybe one person a little more than the other" she said indicating to Adreanna who's fitting in well with Jim and Tae's joking mannerism.

"Anyway stop stalling" she exclaimed.

"Oh alright. I had met Joon previously".

"Okay. When, Where and How?".

I spent the remaining time that took us to get to the entrance/exit of the aquarium to explain my encounter with Joon last night at the airport.
