47 Yoongi's Flames

Yoongi stood with a proud swagger as he looked over at Jungkook and Hoseok. Hoseok looked over to Jungkook and nodded. Jungkook grinned as the two boys looked back at Yoongi. The two boys rushed towards Yoongi while chanting quickly. Jungkook finished his chanting and the ground began to shake violently beneath Yoongi. Yoongi sensed something as he chanted quickly.

A large rock spike came shooting up from beneath Yoongi, but before it could get near Yoongi, there was a burst of fire that hit and destroyed it. The spike was followed by more spikes, each destroyed by by bursts of fire. Jungkook was frowning as each of his attacks were easily blocked and seen through. Yoongi smirked.

"Jungkook. Your attacks are too predictable. You need to change things up."

After saying this, a wall of flames appeared in front of Jungkook. He came to a halt, almost running into the wall. There was then a rush of fire from the side that hit Jungkook. Jungkook was able to defend himself, but it was still a direct hit. Thankfully, Jungkook knew that it wasn't one of Yoongi's more powerful attacks, otherwise he would have been toast.

Hoseok continued to rush forward. The air around him seemed to vibrate as he made spikes of concentrated wind. These vibrating wind blades danced around Hoseok as he finished chanting and sent them forward. Yoongi brought up a wall of fire to protect himself. He was then shocked to find that the wind blades were creating a small hole in the fire wall. Then a wind blade flew through the hole and flew towards Yoongi. He grinned as he chanted and fire burst from his hand, destroying the wind spike.

"Using your attacks to build an opening for you to strike. Not bad, Hoseok."

Yoongi then chanted and the wall of fire seemed to morph and break a part into several spears of flames. Hoseok saw the spikes and began to chant vigorously. Yoongi chuckled.

"You have improved. But don't think that this is enough to beat me."

Yoongi raised his arm and slammed it down in Hoseok''s direction. The spears in the air reacted immediately as they began to fly through the air. The flood of spears easily pierced through and destroyed the wind blade, continuing towards Hoseok. Hoseok did his best to direct the winds to form a wall around him. As the flaming spears clashed with the wall, some were destroyed while others were able to pierce through. Hoseok was able to dodge the spears that broke through.

As Hoseok was defending against the flaming spears, Jungkook was rushing around to attack Yoongi from behind. He chanted and created a myriad of spikes from the ground and sent them flying towards Yoongi. Yoongi chuckled.

"You have potential, Jungkook. But you lack power and substance. You need to spend some more time finding yourself."

Yoongi chanted as balls of fire burst off of him and slammed into the spikes, destroying them completely before slamming into Jungkook and sending him flying offstage.

"Without any substance, your abilities become easy to destroy."

Jimin and Taehyung rushed forward to catch Jungkook. Jungkook nodded at the two as he landed in their arms. He sighed.

"Yoongi hyung really is too powerful to take on. I have a lot to work on."

Jimin gave Jungkook an encouraging nod. Taehyung was just looking at Yoongi and his flames in awe, completely mesmerized by his power. Seokjin came and joined the maknaes and was amazed by the two on stage.

"They are truly powerful Adepts. Although I knew it already, it is still a shock to see it in front of you like this."

Taehyung, Jungkook and Jimin nodded in agreement. They were truly in the presence of some powerful Adepts. Hoseok roared loudly as he rushed forward, summoning all the power he could muster up. Yoongi grinned.

"An all or nothing attack, huh? OK, I'll see what you got."

The spears that were attacking Hoseok vanished, as did the wall of wind. Hoseok gathered the winds around him, causing a large and powerful hurricane to surge around him. Those that were watching were all stunned at the power that was emanating off of the stage. The wind was making many of the young trainees that were watching lose balance, many needing to channel their Energy to ensure that they wouldn't be pushed back by the strong winds.

As Hoseok caused the winds to rampage, Yoongi seemed to be softly chanting. Although there were no flames being created, the area around Yoongi seemed to be increasing in temperature. A strong heatwave could be felt from those on the sides of the stage. They could only imagine how hot it would be at the very center of the stage where Yoongi stood. Hoseok looked at Yoongi with a determined look.

"Here I come, hyung!"

Hoseok chanted and pushed his arms forward, sending the rampaging wind's towards Yoongi. Yoongi grinned as he simply continued to chant. As the winds approached Yoongi, it suddenly stopped as if it met an invisible wall. It looked like it was trying to push forward but it was unable to. Hoseok was sweating as he tried to push through this invisible wall.

Yoongi let out a long breath as his eyes seemed to glow. He snapped his fingers, and the area around him increased in temperature even more. Everything around him seemed to distort under this intense heat. Hoseok was shocked to see that his winds began to slow down. The intense heat was actually pushing against the hurricane in the opposite direction, causing the winds to get caught in an opposing up draft, cancelling each other out. The winds were growing weaker, while the intense heat was increasing.

Hoseok was losing energy and was sweating profusely under the heat. Yoongi looked over at him and smirked.

"Still too early, Hoseok."

Yoongi chanted and flames began to appear within the remaining winds, eating the hurricane and creating a tornado of flames, that began pushing towards Hoseok. He knew that he couldn't defeat it as he chuckled softly.

"I surrender."

The flames dispersed and revealed Yoongi, standing atop the hill in the center of the stage. Yoongi gave off a powerful and domineering aura as he looked down on everyone from his hill. He then turned to Namjoon, who was looking at Yoongi with a grin. As the judge, it was his job to announce the results. Namjoon spoke loudly.

"Winner of the Magic-Channellers tournament, and the next confirmed member of the team, Min Yoongi."
