17 Suga

The boys came out of the arena and were welcomed by Hoseok running up to them.

"That was epic! So cool! You guys totally wasted everyone! That Hybrid was so cool!"

Hun-cheol laughed at Hoseok's ramblings. Yoongi and Ikje stepped forward to congratulate the boys on their win. Displaying new Flux Hybrid's was the epitome of an Adept's life. Being able to release this was extremely satisfying for the team.

"So you have some skill. Did your Academy spoon feed you that Hybrid?"

The boys turned to see the hooded man that was with the cocky Adept before. Hun-cheol and the guys got angry at this comment.

Many Adept's that became Eidos never created their own Flux Hybrid's. They were given to them by their Academy's. To many Adept's, and even more so Underground Adept's, this was looked down upon. If you didn't have the ability to create a Hybrid Flux yourself, you were seen as a lesser Adept. A sell out.

This was an insult that they couldn't take lying down. Hun-cheol was about to respond when Namjoon held him back. Hun-cheol looked at Namjoon angrily but then saw the gleam in his eyes. He had an idea.

"We made our Flux Hybrid ourselves. But having said this, I'm sure you have your own. Why not have a one on one battle with one of us to see whether we are sell outs or not? If we are, I'm sure you could beat us easily."

The hooded man grinned.

"Who am I beating?"

Hun-cheol was about to angrily rush at him but was held back again by Namjoon. Namjoon turned to Yoongi.

"I know you have it on you. Do you want a turn, Suga hyung?"

Yoongi didn't even react; his face had the same indifferent look on it. Without saying anything, he walked to the arena. The hooded figure followed suit.

The boys watched, curious to see how Yoongi would do in the arena. Ikje turned to Hun-cheol.

"Do you think he will win?"

Hun-cheol scratched his chin.

"It's tough to say, we don't really know who he is up against. But I hope he crushes that disrespectful punk."

"Trust him."

The boys turned to Namjoon who had a resolute look on his face as he looked over at Yoongi.

"Yoongi hyung works harder than I think we do. He practically lives in the workshop, he has created so many Flux Hybrids, and you can find them all lying all over his room. He just isn't satisfied with any of them. I want to see what he will use. Which Hybrid he is satisfied with enough to use it in a battle."

The boys looked at each other and grinned. This was going to be interesting.

Yoongi and the hooded figure stood on opposite ends of the arena. The signal to start the battle went off. The hooded figure began chanting immediately. He started to create purple energy which spun around him. The energy then began to come together and created the shape of a large snake.

Hoseok jumped at the sight of the large snake.

"Oh gross. Kill it Yoongi hyung!"

Yoongi looked up at the large snake. He sighed as he reached into his pocket. He walked forward. Everyone was confused by his actions, including his opponent. He was not guarding himself, chanting or doing anything. Instead Yoongi continued to walk forward until he had passed the halfway point.

The hooded man got ready to battle, his large energy snake hissed at Yoongi. Yoongi ignored it as he then pulled out a small circular, metallic disk from his pocket. He pressed a button on it, threw it on the ground, and then walked back to where he was before.

The audience was shocked by his lackadaisical attitude. The hooded figure saw this as Yoongi not taking him seriously. Insulting him as an Underground Magic-Channeller. He roared as he sent the large snake charging forward to a seemingly defenseless Yoongi.

The boys all stood up and shouted at Yoongi, telling him to do something as he hadn't even chanted anything since he entered.

"Defend yourself!"

"Hyung, watch out!"

"Yoongi hyung, burn that stupid snake!"

As the snake came closer, Yoongi smirked.

"Swilsae eoptji raep baeteul ttan bang bang teojyeo jeongsin eoptge."

The small device he thrown casually on the ground exploded. And it wasn't a small explosion. Flames burst from the tiny device, completely burning everything in the arena. It even hit the shield that protected the audience.

The crowd were shocked by the explosion as well as the intense heat they could feel coming off from it. If they could feel this intense heat, how bad would it be down there in the arena?

The boys stared in shock at the large explosion. Hoseok looked excited and started cheering. Namjoon had a huge smile on his face, his eyes glowing with awe at his hyung.

The quiet and cold hyung, so powerful and destructive.

The hooded man was able to protect himself with a cocoon of his energy, but his snake was completely destroyed, which caused him to be drained of a lot of energy and power. He didn't expect to find himself this weakened so quickly in the match. But it wasn't over yet.

As the flames receded and calmed down, Yoongi was walking towards the hooded man. The flames danced around him but didn't hurt him. Not even his clothes seemed to be affected by the flames. He had complete and total control of it all.

The hooded figure quickly tried to chant something else, trying to do something to make some kind of comeback in the match. But he felt fear enter him as he locked eyes with Yoongi. He then realized that Yoongi seemed to have some strange device over one of his eyes. Yoongi began chanting.

Suddenly there was a searing heat in the hooded mans head. He felt dizzy and hot yet he couldn't draw his eyes away from Yoongi. The heat continued to rise and pain continued to build. Yoongi chuckled to himself.

"Ttaeng ulyeo meorit sogeun naro in haeoji raep geulligetji."

The hooded man howled in pain as his head felt like it was on fire. The heat increased to such a point that he couldn't take it anymore. As his head continued to burn, he fell to his knees.

The crowd was shocked by what was happening, it seemed like the hooded man just fell over and was crying in pain, but no one could see why or what Yoongi was doing. Namjoom's eyes lit up.

"He's attacking him mentally."

Hun-cheol looked at Namjoon in shock.

"He can do that? When did he learn to do that?"

Namjoon shrugged as he watched in awe. Mental attacks were a rare thing and was extremely difficult to pull of. It involved directly breaking through your opponent's mental fortitude and releasing your energy in their mind. But to successfully pull it off, you had to overwhelm your opponent psychologically. A huge explosion like the one Yoongi used may just do the trick to put his opponent off.

Yoongi walked over to the shrieking hooded man. He stood in front of him and sighed. He placed his hand on the mans shoulder and looked him in the eye one final time.

The hooded man stopped shrieking, instead going completely silent before collapsing unconscious.

The crowd had gone silent at this savage display of power. He had no mercy in taking him down. This was something that may be looked down upon by nobles, but this savage display was something to be respected by Underground Adept's. All the Adept's stared at Yoongi in awe. He had carefully planned and led the match from the start. The explosion to the mental attack, it was all calculated and executed perfectly. The audience were staring at him like he was some kind of savage beast.

Hoseok was even more excited than he previously was. Ikje was stunned speechless. Donghyuk had a look of disbelief on his face. Hun-cheol was stuttering trying to process everything that just happened. And then there was Namjoon smiling proudly. He knew how powerful Yoongi was and wanted to see Yoongi show that power off.

Yoongi looked at the hooded figure on the ground one last time before he turned around and walked to the exit.

"And I'm out."
