19 Kidoh

It had been a couple weeks since Ikje had left. Although things had gone back to normal in terms of their routine and training, everyone still felt the blow of him walking out. Of course they were still friends outside of Big Hit but it was still sad that they wouldn't be able to debut and fight together on a bigger stage.

But the idea of being an Eidos group had also sunk in. Everyone had processed things and had reached a certain level of acceptance, at least for now. They still weren't entirely comfortable with the idea of being an Eidos group instead of a Renegade group, but they could come to terms with the reasoning behind it and the bigger goal at hand.

Namjoon was currently in the workshop. He was working on a new Hybrid Flux that he was planning on using in the Underground Arena later that week. On the other side of the workshop was Yoongi, also working on a Hybrid Flux of his own. They both worked in silence as they put all their efforts into improving, creating and overall just getting stronger.

As they were working they heard laughter coming from the hallway outside the workshop. Yoongi looked visibly annoyed but Namjoon stared at the door slightly confused. Where had he heard that laugh before?

They then heard voices, people talking. As Namjoon sat there staring at the door it clicked. He knew who that voice was. He rushed to the door and opened it to see Hun-cheol and Donghyuk talking and laughing with a young man. The three turned to look at the surprised Namjoon. The young man had a large grin as he looked at Namjoon. Namjoon smiled as he stretched out his hand in greeting.

"Hyosang hyung! What are you doing here?"

Hyosang grabbed Namjoon's and pulled him in for quick bro hug before parting.

"I was in the neighborhood. Just thought I'd pop by."

Hun-cheol and Donghyuk giggled. This didn't go unnoticed by Namjoon.

"Sure. But what are really here for?"

Hyosang feigned offense and shock.

"I am a man of my word. How dare thee criticize my integrity? How can you not believe your hyungnim?"

The boys all laughed at his terrible acting. Hun-cheol put his hand on Hyosang's shoulder as he laughed.

"Maybe you should just stick to Magic-Channelling."

The boys continued to laugh. As they did, Hyosang spotted Yoongi inside the workshop and curiously entered. Hearing them approach, Yoongi turned around. His stare scared Hyosang for a second. Hyosang gripped his chest.

"I'm guessing this is Suga? He's just as scary as you guys said."

Yoongi chuckled at this and raised his hand.

"Min Yoongi. 18 years old. Underground Magic-Channeller and Power Designer. Codename: Suga."

Hyosang grinned and raised his hand and showed his mark.

"Jin Hyosang. 19 years old. Underground Magic-Channeller and Power Designer. Member of DNH. Codename: Kidoh."

Yoongi looked at him surprised by the shock didn't remain there long.

"Another member of DNH. How many of you are there?"

Hyosang laughed at the comment.

"Too many. But it must be even worse from your perspective since you're just surrounded by us. I apologize for the incompetence."

Yoongi chuckled. Hun-cheol hit Hyosang.

"Who are you calling incompetent."

Hyosang laughed teasingly.

"Well Namjoon is a genius of a Magic-Channeller and Donghyuk is a great Power Designer. So I guess whomever is left."

Namjoon and Donghyuk laughed as Hun-cheol continued hitting Hyosang.

"That's just leaving me! You little punk!"

Yoongi found their interactions funny and interesting. It must be nice to have a group of friends that you can trust and joke around with. As this thought made its way into Yoongi's head, the smile slowly faded on his face and went back to the cold and indifferent look.

"It was good meeting you. I should get back to work."

Yoongi turned and went back to his desk and continued working on his Flux Hybrid. The boys all watched him walk back before continuing to joke around and bicker. Only Namjoon noticed the change in Yoongi's eyes. He knew it wasn't the time to ask him about it though. He turned back to Hyosang.

"So are you going to tell me now or what?"

Hyosang smiled.

Later in the afternoon, Hitman Bang gathered the boys in one of the training fields. As they all came over, Donghyuk and Hun-cheol continued to grin from ear to ear. Hoseok was his happy, cheerful self and stood next to the cold and intimidating Yoongi. Namjoon stood beside him and they all waited for Hitman Bang to speak. He looked over at the boys and nodded.

"We have been out recruiting and trying to find Adept's that would be suitable for the team. We have two recruits left and you will witness their battle. Learn what you can from them, as one of them may join your team, observe what strengths and weaknesses they have and how it can be applied and used to increase the overall group's power."

Namjoon looked over at the grinning Donghyuk and Hun-cheol. They looked back at his questioning face and nodded. He grinned and turned to see two Magic-Channellers walking over. Yoongi raised his eyebrow as he recognized on of the Magic-Channellers. He had just met him earlier.

Kidoh.

The two Magic-Channellers entered the field, turned to each other and bowed before getting into their fighting stances. A judge who had walked on the field looked at the two boys, nodding at them both before raising his hand and bringing it down.

"Begin!"

The two Magic-Channellers began chanting. Hyosang began to emit a dark red aura. This red aura began to grow slowly, covering the space around him. Yoongi and Hoseok were curious as they hadn't seen him fight before. The other Magic-Channeller created a spear made out of ice that floated beside him. He focused before releasing the ice spear, sending it flying towards Hyosang.

Hyosang chanted and lifted his hand forward, facing the oncoming spear. The aura then seemingly began to solidify slightly and began to take shape. As the ice spear neared, the shape was completed and Hyosang smiled as he closed his hand. The dark red aura then chomped down on the ice spear and roared loudly. The other Magic-Channeller, as well as Hoseok and Yoongi were all shocked.

The dark red aura had taken the shape of what appeared to be a giant wolf. The wolf growled as it faced the other Magic-Channeller. The Magic-Channeller was scared and immediately began chanting to build an ice wall. Hyosang channeled his energy forward and the red wolf leaped towards the Magic-Channeler. It crashed into the ice wall leaving cracks all over it. The wolf then began to swipe at it with its claws. The wall chipped away bit by bit, the Magic-Channeller behind it was visibly shaken and scared.

Finally the wolf had broken the wall and was eyeing up the terrified Adept with a hungry gaze. The wolf attacked and the Magic-Channeller screamed in surrender. Just as the wolf was about to reach him, it rushed past him as a red mist, leaving him unharmed. The aura dissipated and Hyosang was there smiling at the terrified Adept.

Namjoon, Hun-cheol and Donghyuk all wore grins on their faces. Yoongi had an eyebrow raised, visibly impressed. Hoseok's eyes lit up like a child's as he looked at Hyosang excitedly. Hitman Bang grinned and nodded at the judge.

The judge nodded back and stepped forward.

"Winner: Underground Magic-Channeller Kidoh."

Hyosang stepped forward and bowed. Namjoon, Hun-cheol and Donghyuk approached and congratulated him. They brought him over to Yoongi and Hoseok. Yoongi nodded having met him before. Hoseok shook his hand introduced himself. Hit man Bang approached and the boys immediately stopped talking and bowed.

"Now you have a new member. Your dorm is surely getting crowded now. But before you go back, there will be a new addition to your current training that you must undertake."

Hitman Bang signalled for some of the staff to head over, they gave everyone, besides Hoseok, a sword. They all looked confused. Hoseok looked at the blades and beamed with joy. Hitman Bang explained to the confused Magic-Channellers.

"From today onwards, you will be learning the ways of the Battle Mage."
