49 Four Way Clash

The Spirit Callers moved towards the stage that was prepared for them. Although there were a lot of trainees that had signed up for the Spirit Calling competition, there was only a few that walked onto the stage. The staff had eliminated a large portion during their tests, while there were trainees that forfeited after seeing Seokjin's, Jimin's, Taehyung's and Jungkook's powers. They were too terrifying to go against.

The trainees that still chose to fight, gathered on the stage to await instruction. Several of the staff came onstage and began handing out items to the trainees. One of the staff stepped forward.

"We are handing you all a Word for you to use. You have 10 minutes to learn and apply it. Then you will cast it. Those who can master it to a high enough level in this time will move on to the next stage. Begin."

With the instructions given, everyone began to study the Word's that they were given. After only 30 seconds, there was a rumbling noise as the earth vibrated. Some of the trainees lost focus as this powerful quake occurred. After a couple seconds, it came to a stop. The staff that was supervising nodded as he shouted.

"Trainee Jeon Jungkook passes."

Jungkook nodded happily as he made his way offstage. Before he could reach the edge, he breathed out and saw that he could see his breath. He felt the cold gathering around him, covering the arena, and smiled.

"Trainee Park Jimin passes."

Jimin stretched, satisfied with his result as he went to join Jungkook. He stopped in his tracks as he felt everything go heavy instantly. A huge weight was weighing down on him. Gravity had increased and stopped them in place. Jimin and Jungkook both looked to the side and saw Taehyung opening his eyes. At that same moment, everyone on stage seemed to freeze in place, standing completely still for a few seconds before going back to normal.

"Trainees Kim Taehyung and Kim Seokjin passes."

Jin nodded and walked over to Taehyung. Taehyung smiled as he walked with Jin over to Jungkook and Jimin. After the 10 minutes were up, only 12 more trainees remained. As Jin looked over the 12 trainees, he found that they were familiar with each other, all standing in groups of four. He turned to his dongsaengs and pointed this out.

"It seems like we aren't the only ones that are here as a group."

The remaining 12 trainees were gathered in their groups of four. All of them eyeing out Jin, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook. Jimin had a serious look on his face as he spoke quietly to the others.

"It seems like we have a large target on us."

The others nodded in agreement. In the other competitions, The four of them had dominated and overwhelmed the others, Seokjin was even a winner of one of the competition's and had a place in the final team already. This was going to be a tough battle for them as the other groups would definitely team up against them. Jungkook chuckled. Taehyung turned to him.

"What's funny?"

Jungkook looked at them with a look of confidence.

"I don't know if I could battle alone. But with us together, it doesn't matter how many people there are, I believe we have enough power to take them on."

Jimin had a look of shock as he saw the usually shy Jungkook speaking so confidently. He smiled the next moment as he put his arm around Jungkook's neck.

"Jungkook is right. Together, we are far more powerful. We can take them out, no problem."

Seokjin and Taehyung nodded in agreement. The four boys began to whisper and work out their plan. After a few minutes, the 16 trainees were led on stage. The staff was handed a small note. After reading it, he looked over to Hitman Bang with an astonished look before nodding his head.

"This final round will be a team match. Each of you are already acquainted with each other and are already prepared to fight in groups of four. So we will allow this to be a team match. The remaining team will have all members of their group enter the team, an additional spot opening up so that the team will have 8 instead of seven of one of you three win."

The staff gestured to the other three groups, as Seokjin was already in the team, so only the three were trying to get a place. The eyes of the others lit up as they saw this as a huge opportunity. They all looked at each other viciously. Jungkook looked at the others and nodded. They took up a simple diamond formation, with Jimin in the front, Seokjin to the left, Taehyung to the right, and Jungkook in the middle. The others also got into a formation as they awaited the signal for the battle to begin. Each group standing in a corner of the arena stage. The staff listed his hand before bringing it down quickly.

"Begin."

Jungkook instantly kneeled onto the ground and began chanting. Seokjin, Jimin and Taehyung each looked at a group each. From the right, the group began chanting, calling on spirits to manifest around them, taking the form of four wolves, each a different color, clearly imbued with different elements and abilities. The four wolves howled as they charged towards Taehyung.

On the left, they channelled their energies together, calling out a frenzy of Elemental Sprites that danced around them momentarily before shooting towards Seokjin. The group on the other side seemed to wrap themselves in their energy, forming a sphere of elemental energy, the four trainees floating within it. The sphere glowed before propelling forward towards Jimin. Seokjin, Taehyung and Jimin grinned.

"Just hold them off until Jungkook is ready!"

The three boys began to chant as the opponents attacks rushed towards them. A swirl of dark energy left Taehyung's mouth, floating slowly before him. He smirked as he slammed his hands together, squashing the dark energy. A shadow burst forth from his clap, rushing forward and passing over the four wolves. The wolves, seemingly unaffected by the passing shadow, continued to run forward, when suddenly, figures began to rise from their shadows. The figures took the shapes of wolves themselves as the lashed out and bit the charging wolves.

The trainees were stunned, before chanting and sending Energy to the wolves. Their elemental wolves then began to fight against these shadow wolves that had appeared. On the other side, Seokjin had called out sprites of his own that all charged towards the elemental sprites that were heading in his direction. His sprites all charged straight through the elemental sprites, causing them to freeze in mid air, time having stopped around them, and after they froze all the elemental sprites, they headed towards the group of Spirit Callers.

Jimin saw the incoming sphere of energy and grinned. He chanted in such a mesmerising way, all that was watching the match were enchanted by his power. Ice began to gather around him as the element itself seemed to respond to his call. The ice seemed to brush Jimin affectionately before bursting towards the elemental sphere. The sphere began to slow down as ice began to form around it, freezing it in place. The Spirit Callers within began to panic as they chanted feverishly, boosting more energy into the sphere. Jimin turned around to Jungkook, his hands outstretched towards the sphere as he directed his energy towards it.

"Alright Kookie, show us what you got!"
