38 Forge

Jungkook entered a routine of intense training. Each day they would select 3-4 weapons from the wall and he would try them out. They would then spar and train with it. His teacher noticed that each weapon, Jungkook was able to adapt to quickly and use proficiently. But he still wasn't moving naturally and the power was still lacking behind his attacks. So they continued.

Every morning they came in, tried new weapons, trained all day and then went home. Then they would repeat the process. Jungkook was determined so he didn't feel fatigued by this. Instead he felt excited. He was learning so much about Battle Maging through this experience. Although he hadn't found his preferred weapon, he was slowly becoming proficient with the different Battle Mage weapons.

He was also being taught about the strengths and weaknesses of each of the weapons, which he studied and analyzed thoroughly, retaining them to memory for future reference. He was never good at studying, but he was exceptionally smart and retained information well.

After a week of trying different weapons and training, Jungkook and his teacher were sparring again, using a new weapon. Jungkook was knocked back hard and landed on the ground. The teacher shook his head.

"Not this one either."

Jungkook got up slowly with a smile on his face.

"Let's try another one, Teacher."

Jungkook fell more and more in love with the art of Battle Maging and wanted to grow more in this way. He fervently went over to the wall and put the weapon he was using back and scanned over the weapons. Many he had used and they weren't right for him, but he had learnt how to use them to a basic degree. His teacher came over and looked curiously at a weapon, bouncing his eyes back and forth between the weapon and Jungkook. After a while, he spoke up.

"Your element is Earth, correct?"

Jungkook nodded. The teacher grinned.

"Maybe this will work."

The teacher walked over to Jungkook and handed him a pair of gloves and boots. Jungkook took them and looked them over. They were made out of a white metal of some sort and had tiny spikes on certain areas of them. He looked at the teacher slightly confused.

"You want me to wear clothes? Not a weapon?"

The teacher chuckled.

"These are weapons. Gauntlets and Greaves. They are special weapons that increase the damage of your punches and kicks. I realized why weapons don't fit for you, you need to fight with your body. The Gauntlers and Greaves will empower and strengthen you without making you need to worry or care about a weapon. You can fight freely."

Jungkook looked over the gloves and boots and thought about what his teacher said. It all made sense when he thought about it, he always felt that he couldn't go all out as he was so concerned with the weapon he was using. His eyes lit up as he put the gloves and boots on. When he did he felt a strange sensation coming from the gloves and boots. He sent his energy out to it.

The gloves reacted immediately, growing and expanding to not cover his entire forearm. The spikes on the gloves fist also grew in length and size. His boots also grew, now covering his shins and slightly covering his knees. When the finished, there was oly one word that went through Jungkook's mind.

Comfortable.

These gauntlets and greaves really suited him, they felt natural. He turned to his teacher with a grin on his face.

"Can we spar, teacher?"

His teacher looked at him shocked for a second. Jungkook's aura had changed completely and it took the teacher by surprise. He grinned. He then put on a similar pair of gauntlets and greaves.

"Show me what you got, Jungkook."

They got into position and took up simple stances. The teacher nodded before charging forward, as did Jungkook. Jungkook was instantly surprised by the boost in speed the boots gave him, he burst forward with so much power. He grinned as he threw a punch. The teacher twisted in mid air and sent a kick flying in Jungkook's direction.

Jungkook responded by holding his srms up so the kcik would hit the gauntlets. The kick was deflected and Jungkook found that the gauntlets helped lessen the blow. He rushed at his teacher. They exchanged blows back and forth, Jungkook was sloppy at first put his attacks and block slowly became more and more refined as he fell into a rhythm.

The teacher grinned as he felt a strong pukse coming off of Jungkook.

'He's riding the Energy Flux. He can finally tap into while fighting as a Battle Mage. Excellent."

The teacher began switching up his attack patterns, which caused Jungkook to stumble for a second before he was able to catch on and keep up. The teacher was continually impressed by Jungkook's adaptability. Jungkook then pushed forward again, sending a barrage of attacks at the teacher. His teacher was beginning to feel overwhelmed by the flurry of ounches and fell back.

Jungkook wouldn't let this opportunity go by and charged forward. He concentrated all of his power and Energy into his fist. The teacher felt a sense if dread as he moved to block the punch. As it collided with his gauntlets, he was sent flying backwards with so much force that he oeft a dent in the wall.

Jungkook looked over shocked. He ran over to help his teacher up.

"Teacher! I didn't mean to. Are you OK?"

The teacher slowly got up with Jungkook's help and laughed.

"No need to apologize, I just didn't expect that kind of power so suddenly. You really suit the gauntlets and greaves. Although, by the looks of it, you might need something a bit stronger."

Jungkook followed his eyeline and found that his gauntlets had cracked from the power of his punch. Jungkook was shook to see this.

"I did this?"

The teacher smiled.

"I think it's time we work on your own Synergy Weapon."

Jungkook was lead down to the Craft Workshop. For the rest of the time he spent here, he learnt about Synergy Weapons and hiw to forge them. He spent a long time crafting and building the pieces himself, as a Synergy Weapon was only truly effective when made by the user. Jungkook made several prototypes that he would test with his teacher.

And like that, his special training came to an end. He said goodbye to his teacher as he headed back to Anima. He now had a fresh love for the Battle Mage fighting style. On the flight back, he started thinking about this. He had fallen in love with being a Battle Mage, he started thinking that maybe he should just pursue the Battle Mage path.

And Eidos included fighting as a Battle Mage, but there were other things needed as well, and Jungkook wasn't sure if it would be a path he would enjoy. With these thoughts and his passion for Battle Maging ignited, he arrived back at the dorm in Anima.

He greeted his hyungs excitedly, and they were all curious as to how his trip went. He explained thst he had finally made his own Synergy Weapon. The boys were all excited to see, especially Hoseok and Jimin.

They all went together to Big Hit Academy and went to the Battle Mages training area. Sung Deuk was interested to see Jungkook's new skills and Synergy Weapon. Hoseok was chosen to take Jungkook on. Hoseok pulled out his twin blades and looked over at Jungkook.

"Where's your Synergy Weapon? Did you leave it somewhere?"

Jungkook chuckled.

"Nope, I'm already wearing them."

Wearing them? What did that mean? The boys all had looks of confusion for a second before Jungkook surged with energy. They all looked over curiously. Then his gloves began to change. What looked like trees and rocks spread out over his hands and forearm creating large gauntlets. The same happened with his legs as it looked like living rocks wrapped in vines covered his shins. He now had a completely different aura to him.

Hoseok grinned.

"Gauntlets and Greaves! Heck yeah! Bring it on, dongsaeng!"

Jungkook grinned and nodded as he leapt forward.
