41 Final Exam

The field was set up with a large arena in the middle. The arena was filled with students and trainees, all standing in filed lines. There was an elevated wooden hut that had a full view of the arena. All the trainees were facing the wooden hut. Inside, sitting on a chair, was Hitman Bang. Standing next to him was a nervous looking Namjoon.

Namjoon was looking at the trainees on the arena stage. Most he had seen the profiles of through Hitman Bang. They had discussed and spoke about all the trainees in attendance. Amongst the group was the trainees he lived with and trained with.

Jimin was at the front of one of the lines, behind him was Taehyung, who was whispering to Jimin quietly.

"There are a lot of trainees here."

Jimin made a quiet noise of agreement.

"Mmm. This may be a lot tougher the we expected."

Taehyung looked at the ground.

"I hope we all make it."

Jimin nodded.

"I believe in the others, we just need to step up to where we know they will be."

Jimin and Taehyung both wore serious expressions. They believed in the power of the hyungs and dongsaeng. They wanted to officially be a group together with them. The fires in their hearts were ignited. A few rows over, Hoseok was just as fired up. He was itching to get things going, he was having a hard time standing still in the line. Those around him giggled as he fidgeted with excitement.

A couple rows beside him was someone that was the complete opposite. The very picture of calm. A young man stood still with his eyes closed, an intimidating aura flowing off of him. This was obviously Min Yoongi. He didn't want to be out here competing. He originally wanted to stay as a Power Designer but Namjoon and Hitman Bang discussed at full length with him. They talked about his potential to grow as an Adept and a Power Designer by joining the official team.

He was originally conflicted and split on what he should do. As he wasn't someone that spoke much, Namjoon got into the habit of going on walks with Yoongi. Over time he started opening up and discussing his thoughts to him. Although he was clumsy in a lot of things, Yoongi deeply respected and inwardly praised his dongsaeng, Namjoon. He was perfectly fine with having him as a leader as he knew that he could take the group a long way.

So in the end, Namjoon talked him into trying out for the final team. Yoongi sighed.

"He's got me doing something else that is just too much effort. I hope this is over quickly."

In the back, standing side by side were two nervous boys. Each nervous for different reasons. One was Jungkook. Jungkook anxiously looked around at all the trainees. He would need to compete against all of these people. His hand was shaking as the prospect of fighting them all scared him. A hand rested on his shoulder. Jin was standing next to him and looking right at him.

"You have it in you. You can do it, Jungkook."

Jin was the last to move into the dorm, having lived in Anima already. But after he began seriously investing time into being an Eidos, Hitman Bang decided he should live with the rest of the group. The boys quickly found that he may be handsome and cold looking, but he was actually a really kind and caring person, having cooked for them on his first day.

Jungkook was happy to have such a reassuring hyung at his side. He nodded resolutely as he looked forward. Once Jungkook looked away, Jin took his hand back as he began nervously worrying. He looked around and he couldn't find Hyosang anywhere. This morning, Hyosang suddenly told him and the others that he had another important test he had to attend. He said he would try to make it back after, but he hasn't arrived yet.

Although Seokjin was getting to know everyone slowly, Hyosang was his friend that he had met before the others, so naturally he was the person he was closest to in the team. Seeing that he wasn't here yet worried him a lot.

Hitman Bang stood up and the entire arena went silent as they all looked over to him. He spread his arms.

"Ayo, Hitman Bang introduces, Hit It the Second Audition."

Everyone looked at each other confused. Namjoon coughed behind Hitman Bang as he blushed from embarrassment.

"Bang Pd-nim, that is the old script. Can you please speak properly?"

Hitman Bang caught himself and coughed.

"Yes, yes. My mistake. Welcome trainees. You have all been selected to compete for a spot on a new Eidos team that will be debuting in less than a year."

He then gestured to his right as a large board came out. On the board the numbers 1-7 with empty spots next to the number. The only spot that wasn't empty was the number 1. Beside it in clear writing were the words:

Kim Namjoon. Codename: RM. Position: Leader, Magic-Channeller and Power Designer.

The others all stared at the board seriously. There were only seven members being accepted into the team. And one of those positions was already filled. The trainees all tensed up and went serious as they stared at each other with a competitive glare. Hitman Bang continued speaking.

"We will be looking for a blend of powers and abilities that compliment and enhance each other. This competition is not only able individual talent, but also the synergy of the team. We will be watching closely. Let the exam begin."

The trainee's all bowed before they were led off to the side. Everyone chose the categories for which they would compete in. Many entered multiple categories as this increased your chance of making it in. The categories included Spirit Calling, Magic-Channelling, Battle Maging and Visual Prowess. After that competition, based on their observations and the rankings, Hitman Bang and the staff will choose the 6 trainees to join the team. Those that ranked high for the different categories were more likely to be chosen. If you ranked high in multiple categories, it was a certain that you would make it.

After the staff explained the categories and how the competition would run, the trainees all signed up for their respective categories. The staff created a elimination styled tournament table for all of the categories. For each category, they were only allowed to use the categories style of fighting.

First up was the Battle Mages tournament. Jimin, Hoseok and Jungkook all stepped forward and looked at each other. They nodded and walked to the area where the Battle Mages were gathering. The staff announced the first fight which was Hoseok and a tall young man. Hoseok and the man stood on the arena stage and bowed.

Hoseok grinned in excitement as he pulled out his twin blades. Jimin and Hoseok felt something different about the energy pulsing off of his blades. They went wide eyed as they looked at each other.

"He added a new Synergy Crystal? Did you know?"

Jungkook shook his head. Synergy Crystals were powerful items that you would fuse into your Synergy Weapon, causing your weapon to unleash new and powerful abilities. It also allowed for multiple Battle Mage's to unleash group attacks when they all use the same Synergy Crystals. Hoseok had made a Synergy Crystal with the help of his teacher and hyung, a Weapon Smith codenamed Bangster.

Hoseok crouched down low as prepared for battle. The staff signalled the start of the battle as Hoseok charged forward in a gust if wind.

"Let's dance!"
