36 Dance of Blades

A strong clash sent both Jimin and Hoseok flying backwards. As the two landed they both smiled. Hoseok channeled his power through his blades and throughout his body. Wind began to circulate on his back forming wings. Hoseok began to float off of the ground as he readied his blades by his side.

Jimin allowed his blade to flow around him. The temperature around him dropped further as snow and ice began to form around him. He was a true sight to behold with the ice and snow gracefully floating around him, reacting to all his movements like his was a conductor. He then pointed his blade forward, at Hoseok, and all the ice and snow rushed to his blade, causing it to glow a beautiful light blue.

The two boys nodded before charging at each other. They clashed and wall of ice smashed against a wall of wind. Hoseok's powerful gusts tore at the wall of solid as ice. They were both grinning as they found someone to go all out on. They both look battle crazed as they unleashed more attacks. Hoseok leaped back and slashed forward, sending blades of surging wind forward. Jimin replied by creating ice spikes on his blade. With each slash, a spike of ice flew forth and clashed with the slashes of wind.

The others all watched in amazement at the two Battle Mage's battles. As they watched, they all realized how little they knew of Hoseok's power. None of them were at a level where they could push Hoseok to a point where he needed to show his full power. Namjoon chuckled as he realized that Hoseok had gone easy on him in the last battle. Jungkook felt a strong resolve burn within him. He felt he was rather good at Battle Maging, everyone had complimented him on it. But seeing this battle, he realized he had a lot to learn and was motivated to grow.

Jimin and Hoseok were completely unaware of the thoughts of the other members as the gleefully fought to their hearts content. They clashed and clashed, yet neither of them wielded. Jimin seemed to switch up his style as he fought, he began to flow and bend around Hoseok's attacks and responded with powerful counterattacks. Hoseok was stunned for a moment before becoming excited and adapting. Hoseok had an adaptable style due to his elements nature so was naturally able to defend and change to keep up with Jimin's new style of attacking.

Jimin was shocked to see that Hoseok was able to adapt so quickly and easily, this imtrigued him and made him attack with more fervor and passion. They seemed to constantly inspire and challenge each other during the battle, like they were empowering and strengthening each other mid battle.

Jimin charged forward and sent a powerful strike at Hoseok who responded with a powerful gust of wind in reply. The large force and clash caused the two young Battle Mages to bounce backwards, separating them and putting a bit of distance between them. They used this temporary pause to catch their breath. They were heaving and breathing heavily.

The group that were watching were completely stunned. The couldn't even keep up with half of the battle. This was a Battle Mage fight on a much higher level than any of them had ever witnessed and they were struggling to comprehend what they were watching. It was just too shocking to view the level that these two were fighting at. They were all hit by the realization that they all had a long way to go in terms of their training as Battle Mages.

Jimin grinned.

"Hyung, you are truly something else."

Hoseok laughed.

"I could say the same for you. I can't remember the last time I was able to go this full out in a battle."

Jimin nodded in agreement.

"Hyung, how about we go for one more attack. I want to show you something I have been working on."

Hoseok went serious.

"Sounds good, dongsaeng. One full out attack."

They both nodded as they charged their energy. Jimin seemed to be concentrating on his blade, Hoseok did the same, both had their eyes closed as the others watched. The tension was thick as everything became eerily silent. The group watching held their breathes.

At the same time, both of their eyes opened as the rushes forward. Jimin held his blade behind him as he leaped forward. Hoseoks eyes went wide in shock as water began to surge around Jimin.

'I thought his Element was Ice?'

As Hoseok had this thought, Jimin seemed to melt into the water as it surged at Hoseok. Hoseok was unable to stop the water swallowing him before the water began to solidify. After a few seconds of Hoseok struggling in the water, the water froze with him still inside. The frozen ice in front of Hoseok began to shift and change as Jimin materialized within the block of ice. He moved slowly, controlling the ice. As he was about to point his blade at Hoseok to signify his victory, Hoseok's blades began to vibrate.

The wind on the outside of the ices seemed to go crazy as he swirled around them, moving faster and faster. Jimin went wide eyed in shock as the ice was vibrating at a extremely fast speed due to the wind. It was beginning to crack. Jimin then saw Hoseok grin as power bursts of wind exploded from his blades, destroying the block of ice. Both Hoseok and Jimin were sent flying.

Jimin was lying on the ground breathing heavily. As he looked up, he saw Hoseok standing over him, equally breathing heavily. He reached his hand out to Jimin.

"I am so glad you are on our team. I look forward to working with you, Jimin."

Jimin grinned as he grabbed Hoseok's hand and was pulled up.

"Same to you. I never expected to meet someone so powerful here."

The two boys grinned. This exchange of theirs clearly formed the start of a great friendship between the two. The group came and were all excited. Namjoon spoke first.

"Jimin really is strong. That was quite a display."

Hyosang nodded.

"That was one heck of a finishing move."

Seokjin agreed.

"I was sure Hoseok was done for. I never thought there was someone that could go toe to toe with Hoseok."

Jungkook stood there with a look of awe in his eyes. His hyung was truly powerful, but so was their new member. Taehyung was thoroughly impresses at the show of power and wanted to get stronger as well. Yoongi spoke up.

"Namjoon-ah. I think he may be the missing piece we were talking about."

Namjoon turned to Yoongi and they seemed to communicate silently for a second. Namjoon turned back to Jimin with a smile.

"You now know me and Hoseok. This is Seokjin and Hyosang. Yoongi. Taehyung and Jungkook. As of today, you are one of us. Welcome to Big Hit Academy."

Jimin excitedly bowed.

"Thank, Namjoon hyung."

Namjoon nodded in approval. Hoseok put his arm around Jimins shoulder, like an older brother, and grinned at him, excited to have him on board

"Welcome to the team. Welcome to Bangtan."
