12 Battle Mages

The four boys went through rigorous training for a month. The three DNH boys got a long rather well, but Yoongi took some time to adjust. He was a quiet outsider for the first few days until Namjoon started sparking up conversations with him. They became closer and Namjoon learned a lot about him.

Yoongi told him that he came from a poor family who just wanted him and his hyung to make money, have a good job. They didn't approve of him being a Magic-Channeller. Namjoon could understand the sentiment.

Yoongi said he still needed to make money to get by so he had a few jobs that he would go off to do between his training. Namjoon and Yoongi naturally got closer, which in turn allowed him to get closer to Iron and Ikje as well.

The month passed and it was time for the Battle Mage tournament. The staff were moving things around setting up for the Battle Mages tournament. It was run a little differently to the Magic-Channeller's tournament. The first round was a free for all. All on all battle. Every man for himself. And it continues until there are 8 competitors left. Then it proceeds the same way the Magic-Channeller's finals went with the top 8. An elimination tournament.

Hun-cheol, Namjoon, Yoongi and Ikje were sitting down waiting for the field to be set up.

"How do you think today's tournament is going to go? Do you think there will be any surprises?"

Ikje shrugged.

"If they're anything like the previous trainees, this won't be very interesting, right Hun-Cheol."

Hun-cheol nodded his head.

"The last bunch just came and went, such a drag."

Yoongi laughed.

"It is hard to keep up with a bunch of crazy freaks like you lot."

Namjoon shoved Yoongi chuckling.

"And you aren't a freak as well?"

As the preparations came closer to finishing the young men excitedly began talking and wondering what kind of Battle Mages there will be. The field this time was much larger to fit more people inside. This was a large battlefield. The Battle Mages came on to the field.

They were all aggressively scowling and looking at each other. Looking around to ensure that no one was in their blindspots. There was a large gap in the middle as all the Battle Mages chose to stick to the edges so when the battle started, they wouldn't be caught in the middle and defeated without being able to display their power. All the Battle Mages were serious and tense.

All except one.

As the Battle Mages eyed each other out viciously, a young man waltzed into the open space in the middle without a care in the world. He had a large smile on his face as he started stretching happily in front of everyone.

Hitman Bang chuckled quietly. Ikje, Hun-cheol and Namjoon giggled to themselves, they found this guy funny. Yoongi, however, stared wide eyed in shock. Hun-cheol noticed Yoongi's face.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"I know him. Well not really but he isn't normal, I'll say that."

The boys looked at him with confusion on their faces. Then Namjoon's face changed to shock. Namjoon pointed at the young man who was stretching.

"Look....his....his left hand."

Hun-cheol and Ikje curiously looked over, trying to see whatever Namjoon had seen. Their eyes gradually widened in shock as well. They all stared at the black mark on the young man's hand.

"An Un...Underground Battle Mage!"

The young man was completely oblivious to those speculating and observing. He was just focused on the opportunity to go wild. He loved the feeling of moving and flowing through a battlefield. He enjoyed activating his power and being able to go about freely.

This young man was of course Hoseok.

He finished stretching as he took a deep breath as he closed his eyes. All the Battle Mages had their eyes on him yet he didn't seem to care. The judge finally spoke up.

"Big Hit Academy's Hit It Tournament, Battle Mage's section will now begin. Contestants at the ready. Begin!"

Hoseok's eyes opened. The bright smile he had on was now gone. It was replaced with a serious gaze, one filled with power and authority. Even his aura seemed to change as emitted and sense of charisma and dominance. Hitman Bang was surprised by this change of energy; it had even affected him, much less the four boys behind him. They were all shaken as the goofy boy they found funny was now so cold, powerful and..well....cool.

The Battle Mage's charged forward. Hoseok was instantly surrounded by three fast Battle Mage's. Hoseok pulled out two small daggers from the back of his belt. There was a surge of power that flowed through his arms into his blades. Spinning around, he slashed his blades around him. Blades of wind appeared and were cast out where the two daggers slashed. These slashes of wind rushed towards those that were charging at them, hitting them and flinging them backwards into other Battle Mages who were charging in.

Hoseok didn't stop there as he continued to allow his blades to dance around him, sending out blades of wind that would blow away those that tried to attack him. The wind around him began to move and be controlled by him. Within his area, there was no one able to get near him. The wind around him cut down any opponents that came close, creating a miniature tornado with him in the middle.

He then stopped and stood still. The winds continued to rage around him yet he was calm and at peace in the centre of it all.

"Let's get this thing rolling."

Hoseok crouched down low before leaping forward. He charged at such a speed that many hadn't realized that he had left the tornado. The wind made him as light as a feather and also pushed him forward, allowing him to move at an incredible speed. Hoseok charged and maneuvered his way through the opposition seamlessly. He attacked and struck down one opponent after the other. His movements were sharp and explosive that even those that saw him coming couldn't do anything to prevent themselves being defeated. Quickly he had taken down a third of the opponents by himself. While there were other battles between Battle Mages happening all over the field. Everyone was watching this incredible warrior dance around the field like it was his personal playground.

Hoseok smiled as he pushed back those trying to stop him with ease. He was enjoying himself as he was completely in his element. Being a Battle Mage was what he was best at, and it brought him great joy to move through a battlefield.

Hun-cheol, Ikje, Yoongi and Namjoon were all standing up. They couldn't keep their eyes of this young man who made his way through waves of enemies like a hot knife through butter. They couldn't understand and comprehend this kind of power. They were all Magic-Channellers so they didn't understand a Battle Mage's fighting style and power as much, but they could recognize that Hoseok wasn't a normal Battle Mage and was very powerful. They could also feel a familiar aura pulsating from him.

Energy Flux.

He was tapping into it and was fighting in tune with it. He was riding his Flux's rhythm as he flew across the battlefield. The three young men's eyes lit up at how Hoseok was able to connect and control his Energy Flux in this way.

The opponents were all intimidated and scared by Hoseok so they all rushed him together. Hoseok was immediately surrounded, but he didn't panic. Instead he stopped running and got low. He waited for them to come closer before leaping into the air. The wind seemed to wrap around him as he continued to rise in the air.

The wind then began to manifest on his back. Stretching and circulating, it started to form a shape behind him. The wind seemed to solidify as it fanned out. Everyone was shocked to that he had stopped rising but he wasn't falling either, instead he just floated there in mid air. The sun above glowed around him as the Battle Mages below stared up in awe. They couldn't help but be captivated by the image above them.

"An..an....Angel?"
