8 The war keeps raging, and preparation.

{August 46 modern era.}

It been more than a half a year, since the war flames lit up.

Getting more intense by the day, feeding on the 5 great shinobi villages wealth and human resources as if they were dry wood.

The war on all sides took a step forward, from little skirmishes to full organized fronts of shinobi armies.

On multiple war, key locations, the face-off on the battlefield, reached the point of one thousand shinobi armies clashing with abandon.

Still, the villages keep sending more shinobi to their death, by now half the elite of every hidden village are on the battlefield.

And since last armistice treaty of the Second Shinobi World War, the kage of the five hidden villages are not allowed to participate in the war, unless the village at the risk of annihilation.

And the elite on the battlefield, mainly act as commanders, while the kages and their strategists are the real players of this war chess game.

The poor Genins have the honor to tank the sweeping armies of the enemy.

Gradually the ninja academy in every village became a symbol of death, a factory of death soldiers.

Hokage office.

"Minato, this mission is a cornerstone to build konoha's dominance over the war, so I want you to give it your all"

Said the third Hokage, with a serious tone.

"I know, you don't like to slaughter even your enemies, but know this Minato, your kindness can be the doom of many shinobi in our ranks"

Added the third Hokage, his face cold, showing a deal amount of severity and authority, hoping, Minato can understand that in war there's no place for Mercy or kindness.

Minato just smiled for a moment, then said seriously " even though I'm reluctant to kill, but my love to the village is stronger, so don't worry Hokage-sama, I'm willing to become a slaughter demon for the people of my village".

Hearing his declaration, the third was put to ease, knowing that one of the strongest shinobi in konoha didn't lose the WILL OF FIRE within him.

Konoha orphanage.

The orphanage inhabitants were experiencing a cloudy weather, a bit cold, but nothing that could stop the kids from playing and enjoy their lives.

About twenty steps from the orphanage, beyond the little backyard of the orphanage, near a fence separating the orphanage from a little forest, we could see a little kid, black hair, brown eyes.

The kid was abnormally pale and weakness and fragility is the best way to describe him.

Reclining, his back on the fence, Jin Takayama, a boy of almost 4 years old, was watching the colorful and active Koi fish in a small pond.

" Sigh.... You came a long way!"

Talked Jin to his reflection on the water.

His body no longer passively produce chakra, regardless of the body cravings for chakra.

It's like, his body learned how to wait for Jin to allow him to produce chakra, and slowly came to the point where Jin needs to produce chakra actively.

And that where the hallucinations came to be an eminent danger.

"You don't give me chakra, I will make you hallucinate and delirious, and I won't create chakra until you actively do it"

That basically what his body doing.

And Jin, in his hallucinations, tends to forget he can alleviate those cravings by simply producing some chakra.

So Jin, end up filling his head with death thoughts.

He attempted to kill himself 3 times, in less than a year of training.

"Man, even drug addict are not in this severe situation...sigh" sighed Jin.

But fortunately he's gaining more control over this crazy cravings and desires of his body, that, thanks to his abnormally strong spiritual energy.

"Next, I need to keep my body without chakra for at least 3 months, and learn how to ignore it's cravings, I think it's time to start sensing nature energy"

Planned Jin.

Hearing footsteps nearing him, Jin turned to see his mother coming his way.

He smiles, using his hands, he dusted the place next to him for his mother to sit.

Talking to his Mother or even just staying close to her, puts his mind at ease which helps a lot with the issue of his body.

"Jin my sweety, you know I could do that myself"

Sitting next to him, Nari Takayama, took a hold of his hands, and started cleaning them gently with her own hands.

" Hhh.. it's okay Mom, I like to do it, and I'm not that weak"

Said Jin, trying to look tough.

Putting his head on her lap facing her smiling face.

She started weaving her hand through his silken hair, and the other gently caressing his cheeks.

Jin just close his eyes slowly and enjoy the warm feeling, until his body curl up in a ball, and get even closer to his mother, and she responds by sitting him on her lap and placing his head on her left chest.

Hugging him tightly with one hand and caressing his hair with the other.

While lifting her knees to enclose him even more.

It's like, she's saying ' sleep soundly my angel, this is your safe sanctuary, just me and you....', and don't forget her soft relaxing lullaby in a whispering voice.

By time this came to be their kind of special thing.

They don't talk much, not because she knows her child is a quiet kid and maybe don't like to socialize, no, more like, they both like to show their affectionate feelings with action.

They always end up like this for hours.

To Jin, this is his personal safe haven, that brings him comfort and serenity.

For Nari-san, this act is like a ritual to wash and cleanse herself from all sadness and grievance, and the misery she went through in the past.

And to cherish the feeling of having a dear and precious person in her life.

The war claws are getting more and more Savage by the day.

Thousands die in the battlefields, assassinations occur left and right.

Burning fields of rice and food storage warehouses, became more unbridled.

Other than weapons and war resources, almost all the other kinds of commerce got crippled, making even the peaceful villages not participating in this death game called war suffer too.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg, and what is hidden is greater.

Our Jin fortunately, still out of the reach of the war claws.

The same for his mother too, being a normal person.

So more than the Rumors circulating the orphanage, he doesn't know anything about the war, and he doesn't care, that won't change anything.

The period of 3 months, Jin gave himself to prepare for the next step of his training, already expired.

That's why he decided to start meditating, but just as a training to better his control over his emotions, in case they will cause him an irreversible damage when he starts introducing nature energy to his body.
