9 Nature energy
{Konohagakure. March 47 modern era.}

Konoha orphanage.
In an effort to welcome the spring, nature brought out more of its beauty, butterflies dance between the colorful fount of Nectar, spread in a sea of green.
The ever generous sun casts its silken gold threads to the hungry Flora and fauna.
The hard working bees, in their never changing routine, helping nature thrive more, bring more colors to the world leaving a gray winter behind sink in the folds of time.
Yet humans are painting this season of birth and prosperity, in red, blood red.
Fortunately, this bloody canvas, couldn't depict the whole world.
Konoha orphanage still keeps its innocence and purity, still a place that represents hope for the neglected and orphaned from a young age.
Walking out of his room, Jin head to his favorite spot in the orphanage backyard.
But surprisingly, someone was already there.
"Humm!!, Kabuto..."
Jin noticed that the little Kabuto was sitting under the only tree in the backyard, which was basically Jin's favorite spot.
He was Alone, Jin knows, even though Kabuto was a quiet kid like him, but unlike Jin, Kabuto wasn't lonely or anything but the issue with his memories, Made him a bit uneasy about making new friends, yet he gradually overcome his uneasiness.
So lately, Jin rarely see him alone.
So far, Jin and Kabuto, still hadn't met yet, not because he's afraid of a future ringleader of the fourth shinobi world war, or he's afraid of messing up with the world timeline.
Actually, Jin doesn't care at all about the timeline of the world, he doesn't think of himself as hero, who will take the fate of the world upon his shoulders, no, he consider this a second chance in life, and instead of treating the world as game, to seek fame and power, and who knows, even playing God, because you know something about the future.
No, for him what matters first, is the person who brought him to this world, it's not like Jin is some selfish soul who only thinks about what matters to him.
No, in fact he's a good person by nature, and likes helping others.
It's just, he never forget to stay humble, he will help if he can, but before he jumps in hot-headed, he thinks of the consequences of his actions.
That's the difference between a hot-headed self proclaimed hero and a man who experienced life.
Walking up to where Kabuto is sitting after a bit of hesitation.
Jin greats him first " hi, Kabuto right!"
Hearing Jin, Kabuto turned his head to face who called his name.
Seeing it's the kid who's always alone and quiet, got surprised for a bit.
"Ah!! h..hi.." replied Kabuto shyly.
Jin was caught off guard, seeing the great Kabuto act like a shy well behaved kid.
"..oh!, I'm Jin by the way"
Said Jin slowly with a smile.
"Why are here alone?" Asked Jin, out of curiosity.
Kabuto just smiled and looked at the glasses in his hands.
"Because, I'm happy!" Said Kabuto innocently.
'man, it weird seeing Kabuto talk like kid, simple and Innocent.' thought Jin.
Jin never thought of hearing a man who will one day deal with dead people, say such a childish and simple thing.
" And why are you happy!?" Jin smiled and said softly, even though he already knows the answer.
Kabuto in response, moved his hands forward to show Jin the glasses.
"Kenpu-san, noticed I have a problem in my eyes, because I couldn't tell the time from the wall watch, so mother gave me her glasses to fix me" said Kabuto in childlike tone, putting the glasses on.
Jin, the other side of this conversation, almost couldn't stop himself from patting Kabuto's head.
As it was seen, Kabuto is a really sweet and kind child, and you can add shy, unlike the other kids in the orphanage, when he calls Nonō-san mother, he really mean it, he already consider her as a real mother.
Saving him and lack of memories, only made it easier for him to see Nonō as a mother.
That's why, he looks like he's in cloud nine, because of a simple act of kindness from mother Nonō.
And mother Nonō accepting his feelings, helped too.
Jin kind of started to like talking to Kabuto, but unfortunately he was called by the other kids to play.
So he just sat in his spot under the tree, seeing Kabuto taking off after saying goodbye.
Taking a deep breath and exhaling deeply, "back to training".
Jin leaned his body on the tree, closing his eyes as if he's ready for a nap.
Clearing his thoughts, Jin reached with his senses to his surrounding trying to catch the elusive nature energy.
Right now, Jin is up to 5 months, without chakra, so he started to forget how it felt, and all what he needs to do is sense any energy other than his Yin and Yang energies.
True, lacking chakra made it easier for him to sense nature energy.
But, it's still a rather hard and tedious process.
To make it clear, if the body is a submarine, then spiritual energy is the radar of the submarine, and nature energy, is a life form out there in the depth of the oceans.
And not all radars are the same, there are some better than others.
And here comes the role of meditation, other than sensing nature energy, it refine and strengthens the spiritual energy.

Hokage office.
The third Hokage was handing the list of the newly promoted chunin, in the last month, where the 5 great shinobi villages ceased fire to recover for another round the next month.
Konoha decided to organize its chunin exam earlier.
And Minato three students were among the promoted chunin, that's include Kakashi, who is now a chunin rank ninja, officially.
Yet, soon all the Ninja present in the office, turned the subject to the war, their gains and losses and weaknesses.
Ended up with the Hokage making adjustments to the army ranks in the battlefields, mainly replacing some commanders who are still there.
It may be cruel, but for any village the value of the commanders is not like the value of the other shinobi on the battlefield, so they need to rest from time to time.
And by the end of the meeting, the name Akatsuki was brought up, the newly formed mercenary organization.

Jin as always was in his spot under the tree in the backyard of the orphanage.
In meditation, immersing himself in the nature around him.
But, the pale and serene face of Jin, was broken by a shocked expression that immediately turned to excitement.
Opening his eyes, shining like Amber, with a wide smile, a sign of his immeasurable happiness.
"Shit, I lost the feeling...hhh... okay calm down Jin..."
Regaining his calm, Jin tried sensing nature energy again, after a few seconds, he caught the feeling again.
Analysing this weird feeling thoroughly, it's felt like he's surrounded by water.
But after getting used to the sensation, and looking more closely, he found it hard to describe what he's feeling.
"... it....feels...like...noise!!!!".
