17 Hacker?

A young girl of about 15-16 years old with long black hair stood on the roof of the school with her eyes plunged into the void. Her eyes were swollen from crying. She looked at the sky before closing her eyes.

She was lost and desperate. The young girl didn't know what to do and saw no reason to live. She could feel the wind blowing on her hair, but the feeling it gave her was no longer the same. If only she could go back to before this nightmare begins.

She stepped forward and her heart beat faster. Deep down, she was afraid. She was still stupidly hoping that someone would save her. But it was already too late. At least, that way, she could perhaps reach that person and make him regret his actions.

As her eyes were filled with tears and hatred, she let herself fall into the void.

====================================

Following the girl's suicide, the teachers had asked the students to return home. Many were traumatized by the scene that took place before their eyes.

The next morning, Jae Hyun went to school as usual, but his heart was not there. He never imagined he'd see someone suicide one day. He felt sad and touched by this situation.

The atmosphere in the classroom was devastating. Even Tiffany, who was usually enthusiastic in the early morning, was sitting quietly in her place.

Then a young girl with a pale complexion, curly and purple hair and Grey eyes entered the classroom. As she approached to sit two seats to his left, Jae Hyun noticed a subtle mole under her lips. It was the first time he ever saw her. There was such a girl in their class? Jae Hyun turned to Daniel.

"Niel. Who is it? It's the first time I've ever seen her."

Daniel looked up and looked at the girl.

"Oh, her? It's Yu Vivian. She's a year older than us. She rarely comes to school because she is sick. I think she has leukemia?"

Emma had spoken for the first time since she arrived in class.

"I'm feeling bad for her."

"Why?", Jae Hyun asked.

He was curious.

"The girl who committed suicide yesterday was her best friend...", she replied sadly.

Jae Hyun suddenly regretted being so curious.

The girl looked lost in her thoughts. Several people went to see her to greet her. It has been still his first day of school since the beginning of the year. Jae Hyun could see that some were uncomfortable and wondered how to offer Vivian their condolences for her friend.

It was dinner time. They got up to eat on the roof. However, Tiffany remained in place. Emma approached him.

"What's the matter?"

Tifanny looked up at her friend.

"I was wondering if Vivian could eat with us. It might take her mind off things, mightn't it?"

No one had any problem with that. But in the meantime, Vivian had left the classroom. They followed her before they saw her turning in a hallway and entering a classroom. The group then entered in turn.

The class was plunged into darkness, and their eyes had difficulty getting used to it. You could hear the sound of the air conditioning and once they got used to the dark, they saw computers. Looking back, they saw a half-opened door from which a light spindle of light came out; surely from a lighted screen, and approached it. There, Vivian's voice echoed. Her voice was soft and calm. Perfectly in harmony with her physique.

"So?", Vivian asked seriously.

A voice, undoubtedly older boy, was heard.

"I'm doing my best. But, it's difficult to hack a wristband. After all, they are programmed to be difficult to hack. And honestly, that's a good thing. Because if anyone could hack into it, welcome to hell if we lost it or if our wristband was stolen. Also, there's a virus in it. Who knows how he got in there."

The young man shrugged.

"Hmm. If even a True Music hacker can't do it—"

He cut her off.

"I never said I couldn't get anything out of it. Just that it's going to take time. But at least, I know whom Lea contacted before she dies."

Upon hearing the remark, Tiffany opened the door on the fly.

"REALLY?!" shouted Jasmine.

Vivian was surprised to see Jasmine there with her friends. Since it was dark in the room, it was difficult to distinguish them. We could hear the young man sighing.

"Did you let yourself be followed?" He looked at Vivian in despair.

Daniel answered to the guy before Vivian could.

"Sorry. We wanted to invite Vivian to eat with us. But, more importantly. If you're doing research, is it because you think it's not just a suicide? Léa; that's the girl who killed herself, right?"

The boy didn't seem to want to answer him, but when he saw that the group wasn't planning to leave, he answered anyway.

"We have reason to believe that it is not. She wasn't the type to kill herself. I have known her since childhood, and I can say that. She even had sent me an encrypted file before she died."

He turned back to Vivian again, as if the others were not there.

"She would have contacted Isaac Tremblay before she died."

"Isaac?!"

Vivian was surprised.

Isaac was a terminal known to be a real playboy in the school. Every time we saw him, he was always with a different girl. Vivian was surprised because she knew her friend wasn't the type to like such a guy. She turned around to leave before thanking the boy.

"Thank you Xu Rui. I'm gonna go talk to this guy. I'll let you continue the research. If you find anything else, please contact me."

She came out of the room followed by everyone. Jasmine asked the question that itched everyone's lips.

"Who was it?" Tiffany asked.

Vivian turned to her.

"You're really curious, aren't you?"

Tiffany blushed embarrassed to interfering with what didn't concern her. Vivian made her understand that she didn't mind.

She then replied in her usual soft voice. It seemed that nothing in the world could change the quietness of her voice.

"It was Xu Rui. A terminal. He's a childhood friend of mine and Léa. So I'd like you to keep the fact that he's a hacker to yourself. It's against the law after all."

"Hacker... Too classy! What about True Music?!"

Tiffany did not hide her joy. Vivian interrupted her.

"Don't get any ideas. He's very lazy. He only helps out of friendship for Léa. Xu Rui hates to do favors and get out of his little world in normal times."

Tiffany sulked before retaliated against Vivian.

"I wasn't going to ask him anything."

Jae Hyun could not help but ask a question too.

"But he's not likely to get caught by the government hacking? I mean with the chip in us?"

"No. Hackers go through an external system or directly to the source as is currently the case with the Wristband. Even if we do something illegal, the government will not know it. Then, the chips are used to "mark" people but are not a security camera after all. However, he must remain cautious.", Vivian replied.

The group agreed to keep the secret.

Since everyone knew about Léa and Xu Rui, Vivian didn't stop them from following her to talk to Isaac. As expected, they found him surrounded by girls in the courtyard. Vivian approached him.

"Sorry, but can we talk alone?"

She then looked at the girls around her as if to tell them to leave. They ignored her and sent her a look full of mistrust.

Isaac looked at Vivian for a moment before refocusing on the surrounding girls. Vivian didn't have much patience, and this time, she spoke to him in a colder, always smiling.

"It's about Léa. Unless that you want that we talk about it in front of everyone. It doesn't bother me." Vivian's tone was full of innuendo.

Isaac stopped talking and turned to her more seriously this time. He then asked the girls to leave and promised them that he would see them later.

They condescended and left while staring at Vivian. Vivian who didn't pay attention went elsewhere. Isaac followed Vivian to a more intimate part of the class.

"What do you want? And why are these guys with you?"

He was clearly impatient.

"I know you were the last person Léa contacted.", Vivian replied.

Isaac cut her off.

"So what? It's not like I pushed her off the roof, is it? If you have nothing else to say, I'll go."

He turned around and started to leave. A remark from Vivian made him stop in his tracks.

"Wings..."

This tiny reaction had not escaped Vivian's attention.

"So you're the one she was contacted this summer. Wings of the dating site 'Fate'."

Isaac turned quite frustrated.

"Okay. We fucked once. But that doesn't mean we were together. It's not my problem if she decided to kill herself. Now, leave me alone."

This time, he left without turning around. Jasmine could no longer contain herself.

"What's the problem with that asshole?!"

"How did you know it was him?" Emma asked as she looked at Vivian.

"I saw a piece of a wing tattoo when he turned around, so I tried it."

However, Isaac's behavior annoyed the group to a high degree.

Tin!

At that moment, Vivian received a message. On it, you could see a girl with long black hair crying and wounded in a dark alley. A message followed the image.

"I may have some information that might interest you."

"Lé...a...?"
