2 Am I still drugged?

In front of them, there were a hundred different types of doors, each with a different color, and a flashy light instinctively guided them towards them.

"Haha, I always wanted to know what it felt like to survive in a world like Train To Busan. Those idiotic characters died too easily... Long live those who are afraid! I'm sure I'll crush all the undead and make sure to brag when I see my friends again and tell them that I survived." A sturdy guy entered the first door without even thinking, considering nothing and simply went in.

The initial choices were crucial simply because everything was related to survival. Survival, most of the time, was linked to knowledge. This, of course, involves not only your general knowledge but also personal knowledge. A significant analysis in these cases is whether you're afraid of blood, heights, or if you don't know how to handle a firearm.

Many chose worlds like Train To Busan, World War Z, Invasion of Another World, Attack on Titan, and many more that were anything but easy to survive.

Taking these options, everyone didn't think about the consequences but the love they have for the reality they will face, and for that same reason, they will die.

Looking at his friends, Jonathan made eye contact with them and said, "Since we're here, we have to choose..."

Orlando looked at Jonathan's optimism and simply shook his head. He loved many of the names displayed right in front of his eyes but didn't want to experience those kinds of emotions because he knew something was wrong with this place.

"Aren't we rushing things a bit?" Orlando asked this question to grab his friends' attention and make them reflect for a moment, but he was unsuccessful.

Alex whispered, "Enjoy the journey; surely when we wake up, we'll be on a hospital bed..."

Jonathan thought similarly and walked towards the doors in front of him. As he understood it, what was in front of him was the selection interface.

There are five difficulty levels, with the easiest being beginner difficulty and the highest being hell level.

There are many multiple choices for each difficulty, including a series of long choices that could be considered.

Other than Jonathan's friends, people looked at the doors that were familiar to them because of the titles on each of them, and just by seeing their faces, it was clear they were excited.

"Haha, this must be the most difficult and easy door at the same time. I've seen Resident Evil movies countless times. If I can't get an Unrivaled rating, I'd rather not wake up alive."

"I'm so familiar with Resident Evil that I remember every detail clearly."

"Speaking of which, no one is thinking of choosing this door yet, so my choice will be the one with the highest difficulty."

"No way am I choosing something as simple as that; real men choose World War Z or something like Train To Busan."

"At first, I thought I was the only one who knew the plot, but I didn't expect to know all of you, so why not stop thinking about it? Let's go straight to Resident Evil."

"Me too... I thought I was the only one in this damn place, but I didn't expect everyone here to know the plot. Okay, let's make our best choices."

Jonathan had regained his composure and, as usual, began to observe people from afar. As expected, everyone was euphoric, fools without a bit of brain, and maybe they are NPCs he shouldn't worry about.

However, right now, Jonathan began to doubt the situation around him and what was sequenced. Was he really drugged, and was all of this a product of his imagination? His friends were real; what they said made sense, and he might be overlooking something he didn't pay attention to at first.

"The clues are in the surroundings; I need to be a bit more patient..." Jonathan murmured as he watched each person madly entering the doors, each more absurd than the other.

Jonathan shook his head, feeling sorry. He's probably overthinking this, and in the end, it turns out to be just a product of his imagination, so he'll forget about everything else for a moment and focus on what lies ahead.

Whatever the result, he is the protagonist of his own story and cannot escape his destiny. As the situation stands now, he must make a good choice to have a much better outcome than expected. There's no need to think about it now.

Jonathan set his eyes on Resident Evil, and seeing how the craziest ones were starting at the higher levels, he had to match them somehow if he wanted to stand out. Just as Jonathan was about to take a step forward, he looked at his friends and asked them, "Have you made your choices?"

"I chose Attack on Titan; Orlando will choose the one with the crazy killer with a hockey mask..." Alex waved his hand and entered one of the doors without even saying goodbye.

Orlando shook his head and said, "When I wake up, I'll give you guys a beating..."

"Well, surely it's not a product of my imagination, so I won't worry." Jonathan murmured as he made his choice for the Resident Evil door.

Now that he was in this kind of hallucination, there was no need to feel intimidated by the titles displayed in front of him. As a cinema fanatic in general, he had, of course, watched the movies several times, and although he remembered the main plot of the entire story, there were things that escaped him. However, he had also played the games, so there shouldn't be a problem. He didn't believe he would just sit there doing nothing.

The butler walked towards him and asked, "It seems you've made your first choice, Resident Evil... a risky choice, are you sure you'll choose that?"

"Yes!"

As soon as he answered, Jonathan saw a sinister smile on the butler's face and he said, "But remember, boy, this is not a dream, and if you die, that's your end."

"What did you say?" Jonathan wanted to ask a question, but shiny numbers appeared on his left arm with a countdown.

"[Door to hell chosen, initiating countdown!]"

Without giving Jonathan time to process the situation, his whole world changed, and soon his vision fractured like glass.

Crash!

Jonathan only felt dizzy for a while, and the landscape in front of him gradually blurred. After a few seconds, the dizziness stopped, and his vision began to recover slowly. When he opened his eyes again, he was completely bored. Around him, well, he was lying on a wooden table. It seemed to be a desk, and he was dressed in white, similar to a doctor's white coat.

"[Choice successfully chosen, beginning identity construction...]"

"[...

Name: Jonathan

Identity: Chief researcher at the Arklay Institute of Medical Technology.

Age: 25 years.

General missions to complete:

Main mission: Survive as if nothing else matters for approximately 48 hours; your distance until then must not exceed five kilometers from the mansion's location.

Secondary mission: Investigate the secrets of the mansion and the cause of the virus leakage.

Additional mission: Eliminate a T-002 Tyrant.

Warning: If any of the missions fail, your only penalty will be death.

Additional reminder: The number of zombies killed will be related to the final score. At the same time, there are hidden tasks in the chosen door, and additional rewards will be obtained after their completion.

...]"

A series of reminders sounded in Jonathan's mind. Upon hearing this, he felt a deep chill pierce his bones, and he felt stunned.

The plot of the notice doesn't seem to be the content of the Resident Evil 1 movie but rather the plot of the game. After all, from what he remembers in the movie, there was no T-002, and if an elite squad was eliminated by simple zombies, he doesn't want to imagine the disaster a Tyrant would cause.

But what left Jonathan most stunned was the punishment for failing any of the missions. The main task is to survive for 48 hours. If the task fails, it means he is dead.

Isn't that itself a great punishment? Moreover, from what he felt, he wasn't dreaming, and even worse, he couldn't wake up. He didn't feel numb; no trace of alcohol or drugs remained in his body, so thinking about the worst, his hands grew cold.

"This is real..." Jonathan inspected the table in front of him anxiously. On the computer screen next to him, his appearance reflected without any change. But there's a photo frame next to the monitor that caught his attention.

In the photo, he was intimately embracing a beautiful woman with short black hair. There's a happy smile on his face, something rare in his ordinary life.

Jonathan immediately recognized this woman; wasn't she the girl many prayed to as if she were an angel? So his identity as Jonathan would actually be Jhon Clemens, who is a puppet spy and the boyfriend of Ada Wang.

He was a completely useless and unnoticed character who would die shortly after the virus was released in the forest around the mansion. Although the information obtained from him is small, he is absolutely no one in this world, and it can be said that he has a background in this world.

If he's not careful, he will die shortly since he is in the main facilities where everyone will die.

"What kind of joke is this?!"
