In a mysterious dimension, a young boy looked a bit stupefied as he looked at the huge dragon in front of him. Even though the size of the dragon dwarfed the boy, the boy didn't look even a tiny bit scared. Both the boy and the dragon stared at each other in silence when the boy eventually broke it by asking.
"Who are you? What do you want with me?"
The dragon moved its mouth as it was talking to him, but the boy couldn't hear anything, just when the boy was about to get closer to the dragon to speak with him when he abruptly disappeared.
"Oi, Draco, Wake up! Didn't you say that you had a bey battle at 10:00? It is already 8:30 if you don't wake up now you won't have enough time"
The young boy woke up immediately looking a bit confused but when he saw the cute face of his younger sister in front of him, he immediately calmed down putting the weird experience behind him.
"*yawn* Good morning, Anya"
"Well, now that you have woken up get ready fast, we have to go to the park for the bey battle!" Anya said pouting
"Oh yeah! Dammit! I totally forgot! Let me clean up, in the meantime ask mom to prepare breakfast!"
"She already started making breakfast, so hurry up!"
Draco quickly got ready and proceeded downstairs for breakfast and was greeted with a large stack of bey-pancakes (Pancakes in the shape of Beyblade)
"Sweet Beypancakes my favourite! Thank you, mom!"
"Well, I heard you were having a bey battle from Anya so I made you those pancakes. Now go out there and have some fun and take care not to get hurt."
"Sure, mom, I wilb tabke cabe"
Immediately Draco got slapped lightly on his head by his mom as she scolded him, "Don't talk with your mouth full!"
"Sorry! and Mom, I told you not to hit me on the head! What if I became dumb?"
"*giggle* Brother is already dumb, if it wasn't for mom and dad holding beyblading hostage you wouldn't even pay attention in class. All of my big brother's head is filled by Beyblade."
"Of course, Beyblade is awesome! Just you watch I am going to become a Champion Pro Blader one day!"
"Anya don't talk about your brother like that. You aren't any better, always being obsessed with the Beyblade science, I saw your report card last week, why are all the non-science subjects falling in grades again! If you don't score well enough, I will return the fabricator I ordered the other day."
"Ah, no mom don't cancel it! I was just distracted by the new Beyblade innovation!"
That was Draco''s sister, Anya. She was one of those childhood prodigies, while she herself didn't have any great talent in Beyblade, she was super smart and their father who was a researcher even said that she was already as knowledgeable as him.
Maybe it was because of Draco, but Anya too was obsessed with Beyblade and wanted to become a beyresearcher and trainer in the future.
"Well, don't waste too much time, it is already 9:30 now, if you don't start now you will be late for the battle."
"Oh no! Come on Anya, we will be late at this rate!"
"Wait Draco! You forgot this!"
As his mom tossed it, Draco caught it mid-air only to see it was his bey.
"Thanks, mom! See you later!"

"Phew, we arrived just in time!"
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Draco Fullbring. I was starting to think you were bailing on me after being scared of me and Whirlpool Sharkrad!", a moderately fat young boy wearing a green polo shirt and khaki pants spoke loudly as if he was trying to intimidate. He was showing his Beyblade whose energy layer had a whirlpool design with shark heads on the edges of the whirlpool.
"In your dreams Kenny, I was just wondering if this match was even worth my time, you know you lost all those previous battles to me. I thought you would give it by now!"
"Shut up! Sharkrad and I are going to take you down today!" Kenny replied aggressively
"Bring it on! Me and Tempest Wyvern will take you up anytime, any day!" Draco replied with confidence.
One of the kids volunteered to be the referee and started the match
"This match will be an official bey points match. Players, please check the bey pointer and Beyblades."
Draco checked Kenny's bey pointer to see that everything was correctly set up and it was set in the official match mode. He next checked the Beyblade and saw that the recording chip was correctly set to official battle mode as well.
The recording chip in the Beyblade was connected to one's bey pointer and the bey pointer to one's WBBA account and would update the world Beyblader rankings.
"Well, this match will be for 200 points. Spin-finish and Over-Finish each give 100 points, whereas a burst finish will give an instant win at 200 points! Are the rules understood?"
"Understood!" Kenny and Draco replied simultaneously. As they simultaneously readied their launcher. Draco took his handgrip, and then attached the bey launcher (string-based launcher) and the bey pointer. Finally, he attached the Beyblade to the launcher and got into a launch position.
"Very well, let the match begin in 3, 2, 1, Let it rip!"
Both of the bladers simultaenously launched their beys. But immediately after launching the beyblade, Draco noticed the slight smirk on Kenny's face.
"Woah they are so fast!"
"Yeah, but why is Kenny's Beyblade staying in the centre and not moving unlike Draco's bey"
"That is because Kenny's Beyblade Whirlpool Sharkrad is a defensive bey unlike Draco's attack type tempest Wyvern" chimed in Anya explaining to the kids watching the battle the four types of beyblades and their strengths.
"Hey, doesn't that mean Draco is going to lose considering he is an attack type bey against a defence type?"
"Hmph, as if big bro would lose to Kenny. A beybattle isn't just dependent on a bey's type. There are many other factors to a beybattle."
"Hmm, Like what? Like how Kenny's bey is spinning in the opposite direction?"
"Huh? What left-spin!?, A beyblade spinning in the opposite direction can steal the spin from the other beyblade." said Anya in a worried tone.
"Ha! I got you now Draco! With this technique, I will be winning this match!"
"Sorry, looks like I won this battle" Draco said with a confident smirk on his face.
"Huh?!" Kenny's confused voice resounded throughout the playground as he watched the stadium.
"Hey! What's this! Draco's beyblade isn't hitting the other bey at all! It is just running around the rim of the stadium!" one boy exclaimed.
"Hey! I get it! If Wyvern doesn't hit Sharkrad then it won't have its spin stolen!" Another boy observed
"But still, that is bad news because Wyvern is an attack type and it will still lose stamina faster than Kenny! Look! Wyvern has already slowed down a lot"
"Yeah! It looks like you are all out of steam Draco because Sharkrad and I are going to outlast you!"
"Are you sure about that? I already said that this battle is mine" Draco said with a smirk.
Just then the wyvern that was losing speed slowly moved to the centre of the stadium towards Sharkrad and started attacking the bey. Kenny, who had been full of confidence until now, suddenly started panicking as he saw a bizarre phenomenon.
"Wha-, What's happening! Why is sharkrad the one loosing speed?!" Kenny said Stupefied
"I noticed when you were launching the bey was turning left so I changed the launch to a parallel launch immediately, making it so that Wyvern would roam around the rim of the stadium."
"But why?!" Kenny asked anxiously
"Generally, it is true that reverse spinning beys steal spin from the other beyblade. But there is a secret rule to this spin steal." Draco explained smugly
"A secret rule!? What is it?" one of the spectating boys asked.
"If your bey doesn't have special parts that increase spin steal, the rule is that the bey that spin steals must always have a lower spin speed than the opposite bey!" Draco explained calmly.
"So that is why you made Wyvern roam around the rim instead of attacking! If you attacked from the start, you would have lost speed to Sharkrad, but now that Wyvern has run around the rim, its spin power is much lower than Sharkrad meaning the bey that is stealing spin is Wyvern instead of Sharkrad!" Anya summarised with a surprised face.
True to Anya's words Wyvern kept stealing stamina from Sharkrad as it sped up and Sharkrad loosing speed and started to wobble.
"That is enough for now, it is time to end this! Wyvern gate crash!" Draco called out as the bey reached the top of the stadium and then made a final attack with the force of gravity backing it up.
Wyvern attacked with such ferocity that Sharkrad flew out of the stadium bursting in mid-air. Kenny who saw his bey burst in front of him was speechless. The spectating crowd was silent for a while before the referee made the call.
"Whirlpool Sharkrad burst finish, Tempest Wyvern 200 points! Winner Draco Fullbring!"
Collaborating on the referee call, the bey points Draco had gone up. Immediately the surrounding crowd started cheering along with Anya.
"Draco! Draco! Draco!"
"Hmph, what a waste of time, I don't know what I expected from a small town blader."
Suddenly the cold and arrogant voice of a boy immediately brought silence to the park. Everyone turned to look who the speaker was and found a boy wearing a tuxedo and slicked back hair.
"Who are you? and how dare you insult my brother, take it back!" Anya said fiercely.
"Insult? I don't even need to insult a blader of his level! A blader who can't even manifest a Blader's Aura is not even a blader in my opinion."
*Whispering* "Bladers Aura? What is that?" *Whispering*
"I have heard of it." Draco said as he continued, "It is supposedly a realm in which the blader and the blade become one and the blader can even control the bey with just a thought"
"Hmph, you are partially correct. The realm you are talking about is the legendary Beyaura master, just awakening your bey aura however significantly improves the power of one's bey and the control they have over it."
"Aura? It is probably nonsense that you made up to show off that you are superior to my brother. If you have the guts fight him in the stadium." Anya commented as she didn't like the boy looking down on her brother.
"Hmph! I will show you the chasm between bladers. My name is Alexander Cronus, and I and Alter Gaia will destroy you!"
Alexander showed off his bey Alter Gaia. The bey had an energy layer with 8 protrusions that were all hammer-shaped. However, four of the eight hammers looked to be coated with rubber.
"It is on! I never back down from a challenge!" Draco said confidently.
"This match will be an official bey points match. This match will be for 200 points. Spin-finish and Over-Finish each give 100 points, whereas a burst finish will give an instant win at 200 points! Are the rules understood?"
"Understood!" Alexander and Draco replied simultaneously.
"The match will begin in 3, 2, 1, Let it rip!"
Draco and Alexander simultaneously launched their bey, Alter Gaia immediately took the centre while Wyvern was rushing at Gaia with a flower pattern relentlessly attacking, but no matter how much he attacked, Gaia didn't seem to be taking any damage.
"Ah! No matter how much Wyvern attacks Gaia doesn't seem to take any damage. What is happening!" Kenny exclaimed.
Anya took out her tablet and then used its camera to collect data on the beys.
"Ah, this is why! Alter Gaia's energy layer has four rubber points and every time brother attacks it, the rubber absorbs the impact."
"But just that isn't enough to explain how it isn't even moving very much!"
"That is because of Gaia's defence driver! The point of contact is actually a ball which makes it so that any impact is absorbed by rolling over, the four ridges around the driver even help the bey stand up when it is unbalanced! Truly a worse combination to fight against." Anya exclaimed in surprise.
"What I don't understand is how is it that the Beyblade is perfectly matching the rubber protrusions exactly when Wyvern is attacking!"
"Hmph! Now have you seen the power of an Aura blader? Ready to give up?" Alexander said with a bored face.
"Never! This just means that I have been using enough force, Go Wyvern Gate Crash"
Wyvern climbed to the rim of the stadium and came back down with its full energy behind the attack.
"Wyvern Gate crash? What a pale imitation! See the real move!" Alexander said as he used Wyvern's attack to reach the rim of the stadium.
"Fissure Gaia!" In a similar move to Wyvern, Gaia came with full force at Wyvern.
At the moment of Gaia's attack, Draco saw an illusion of a giant earth goddess who generated a fissure that started from Alter Gaia and went through Tempest Wyvern.
Before what happened to Kenny happened to Draco as his bey flew out of the stadium before bursting in front of his eyes.
However, the attack didn't just burst the bey but destroyed the energy layer of Wyvern, completely annihilating the bey.
"Hmm, It broke? Sorry didn't mean to. Whatever now you have seen the difference between us, I have to leave. I have other works to attend to."
The referee, who was stunned by what happened, woke up and immediately declared
"Tempest Wyvern burst finish, Alter Gaia 200 points! Winner Alexander Cronus!"
As Alexander slowly walked away, all the other spectators were consoling Draco. But all Draco could concentrate on was the destroyed Wyvern.
