7 Chapter 7: Town

After reading basically everything in my study table, I have decided to explore the town. If I really am the Queen, I should probably look at the perspective of a normal citizen. Well, if anyone in here could be called normal based on the original world I came from

I have read that everyone here is given an element, close to the idea of zodiacs but it's inherited.

I can control most of the elements but ice is my strongest one, since it's my mother's.

Piper meowed at me when we are walking past a bakery. I sat down and asked her if she wants a bread and she meowed. Maybe I can feed her and have something for myself

I picked a table to sit in and tied her leash to a chair. I'm glad I put a harness on her when I decided to take her along with me

I immediately walked to the table I chose and carefully held my tray so it won't fall.

"Hayle and you must like this place. There's a pet's menu in here" I said. I think it's just a bread with a filling that's safe for cats, then water

I ate my meal, which is a piece of cake and tea.

When Piper and I are eating our foods someone came and pet Piper, it seems like Piper loves making new friends

"Oh sorry. I love cats. Just animals in general actually" she said and sat at the chair in front of me

"You're new to this kingdom?" she asked me

I shook my head, "I—uhmm—I actually lost my memories. I wanted to explore the town just to get familiar"

"You must be a noble. Normal citizens rarely survive head injuries, especially the ones who could lose their memories" she said.

"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Zahara. Maybe you can call me when you need me" she said

"You have a phone?" I asked. I've never seen a cellphone in here

"Yeah. Most noble houses have telephones in their homes" she said

"Oh. You have the number or something?" I know I sound confused, but I am.

"This is my card. If you don't want to lose it, you should put it in your phonebook" she smiled at me and walked away. When I saw Piper finish her meal, we continued to explore the place. I heard something about a park, I think

When we arrived there the dance performance at the center caught my eyes.

"Autumn" I mumbled. I guess she is still a performer in this world. I guess she's with Alton and Rex

While watching, I saw someone chasing a dog. Probably it's owner. Without any doubt, I walked and tried to stop the dog by walking at the direction it's heading.

Surprisingly, the dog motioned like he wanted me to carry him. Maybe I'm a natural animal person, I don't know.

"Rex!" I saw Kurt running towards me. The dog, named Rex I guess, hid behind me.

At least I have an excuse to laugh at the dog's name

"He's cute" I said after I laugh

"I don't think it's proper to laugh that hard if you are a noble" he said. I stopped, maybe status here is way more important

"Oh, sorry. This is the first time I have gone out since my recovery. I thought I can just be myself since I'm not known here" I said

"I'm joking. I'm sorry if I offended you" he apologized.

"No. I'm still adjusting. Maybe I won't laugh like that in front of other people" I smiled

"Should I show your around town?" He asked me and I accepted the offer.

We're walking around the town and he showed me some places I didn't get to go to when I was alone with Piper

"How do people tell that you're a noble?" I asked

"Your dress looks like it" he said while still walking

"Maybe I can sew or something" I said

"Maybe, but not enough to purchase patterns. You still need that." he replied

"And your dress looks complicated to even get started with" he continued

"I learned to sew laces though." I said and smiled

"You already ate?" he asked, changing the subject of our conversation

"I just ate some cake and drank tea" I said

"You want to eat lunch?" he asked me and I nodded

We walked to his recommended restaurant

"I didn't ask for your name." I said

"I'm Spyte, and you are?" he said

"Olivia"
