2 Seasoned greetings

The council elders conferred amongst themselves for a very long time as the group of friends coped with what they were seeing. The five-ringed magic array had begun to dim. The elven mages manning the array fell to their knees in fatigue.

Having to channel for so long, even with help, they were drained. Any longer and their mana would have hit rock bottom, shattering their potential to pass class-5 summoners. That would have been a tragedy.

"Ray, you and Liam are familiar with this kinda stuff aren't you? You guys boasted all the time about being near pro-gamers and otakus. What do we do now?" King pressed them for answers.

"I don't know what to tell you man this is beyond me... I do mostly gaming. This is definitely more RPG though."

" Yeah, remember those light novels Greed mad us read? The ones about reincarnating and all that jazz. This is like that. If... If I remember right they usually do this when they need help with some great apocalyptic shit." Ray answered Liam. They both gained some insight at the same time.

"So what your saying is they called us to help... They won't try to kill us? Good that means we have leverage. Those guards don't seem so friendly they keep glaring at us." King became calm very quickly.

His chilled attitude and evaluation shocked the group a little. King was known for his slight anger issues. He was just as surprised after recounting his prior words. It was as if cold water poured over him earlier, bringing his mind to stillness. A balance.

" Your Highnesses, what do we make of this? " One of the mythical middle-level echelons of the Faye spoke up. "You elves always make things interesting alright."

" I'm sure the Faye could have done any better... " Another figure responded. They all hid their features, but it was clear these people were of high standing in their own clans.

"No need to shift blame. We all agreed to this summons. For now, all of us shall retreat to our posts. The orcs wish to no longer be a part of this mess. Whether this human trash can help us or not is clear. " The Orc chief and his commanders withdrew from the room in a fit of restlessness and anger. They were clearly dissatisfied.

" The treants send their regards as well. Thank you for the invitation High elders " A cloaked representative shifted into the shadows.

The other ambassadors did the same. They left one after the other. All who remained consisted of frustrated Elves and some aggravated Faye.

Three elven guards lead the group of friends through the halls of the archive. The building was truly spectacular. They had never seen anything like it. Only in movies could anything come close. After a few minutes of walking, they entered what appeared to be a library. But the shelves of books were endless.

"This is like some Harry Potter stuff." Ray nudged Liam. They were shaking with excitement. 'Being sent to a different world was the best thing to happen to them since grand theft auto added orbital defense systems' he thought.

" Yeah, but from the ears on the guard, this is definitely elven. What do you think this place is? Like their grand library where near infinite knowledge is stored? This is exciting. Do you think we will have to grind monsters or something? Usually, after choosing classes we start leveling in games anyway. "

q

" Oh yeah, you're right man. Well if there are classes I hope I got the swordsman class. I especially chose 'The Sword' title. I always played the warrior in RPG/MMOs*."

Ray and Liam went back and forth.

" Ah, you did 'The Sword'? I chose 'The explosion'. I love mage classes. Making things go boom!! Is my cup of tea. Also, if this is like a fantasy... Why can we understand these guys? "

" Simple, most likely a power or something that comes with the titles. Like Omnilingualism maybe? I want to start testing out if we can use magic. Think they will give us some great quest or something?"

" Most likely." They were whispering at this point and attempted to keep their voices down.

The guards could hear them regardless. They were slightly irritated with the rambling but unphased otherwise. They quickly completed their brief tour of the grand and amazing halls, after which, they arrived before a door. The captain of the guard swung the door open and motioned for them to enter. Ray entered first with excitement and the rest followed. However, May stopped in the doorway before turning to asked hesitantly.

" What will you guys do to us? "

" Not my place to answer. " The guard captain gave a cold and swift reply as he to closed the door, forcing her to step back. In finishing their objective they marched off.

" Well... What pissed him off?"

The five gathered and started to talk about what to do next.

---

" So what do we do about this mess? "

" I vote we just execute them. Our laws dictate that they shouldn't even be allowed within the city much less the archive. "

" As much as I do agree with you on killing them. It would not be wise. You saw for yourself who told us to stand down. Those eyes could only belong to a dragon god. And the last time we went against one of their rulings, There was a purge by fire. No matter what array we used or how many troops we sent. The dragons are a force we can no provoke lightly."

Within a well-lit room of conference, twelve elders sat around a round table and argued. Notably, their chairs were the same height. It was a small detail, but you could tell everyone in the room considered each other of equal ranking. Not to mention a roundtable alone symbolized unity. Of course, even when everyone here was considered the same rank small groups would split the council, with those who held conservative views and those who leaned towards slight change. But, for the elves, any change is too large a move to make. If the demonic humans hadn't become such a threat then they'd never reach out to the others and form an alliance. Now they had to deal with humans from another world... It was just too radical for them at the moment.

" How about we do this... Send some of our young Class-2 and 1 student elves of each class. warrior, mage and so forth with these humans and send them out to one of the human kingdoms that haven't been Demonified. "

"Hm... " The room fell into deep thought. Like this, they went back and forth for at least ten or so hours trying to decide what to do with the humans. It was only after a comment from one of the guards did the council finally decide to go with sending the humans off to become familiar with the world. Their reasons were simply that, no matter why these humans were pulled to this world. They could be of help and it wouldn't hurt them if they invested a small amount of effort. Furthermore, these humans couldn't be trusted to reside in the elven capital.

"So, we have a conclusion. Toss them out."
