Chapter 1Episode 5 A Twist of Fate

As they were walking to school one day, Annamaria, the second twin sisters, started picking a fight with her elder sister, Annabelle. Frustrated, Annamaria pushed Annabelle, but before she could hit the ground, a boy from the upper grade intervened and saved her.

"Are you ok?" he asked concerned " yes am ok thank you" she answered shayari " And you Why do you want to hate your sister?" the boy asked, concerned.

"All shut up, four eyes! She is the one who told me to push her and find out if she can balance," Annamaria retorted, pointing an accusing finger at her sister.

The boy turned to Annabelle, hoping for the truth. Annabelle, however, nodded her head, confirming her sister's lie. The boy was left speechless, unable to comprehend the situation. He decided to pull Annabelle aside to ask her questions privately, but she refused to reveal the truth. This gave Annamaria the perfect opportunity to blackmail her sister.

"I will tell Mom and Dad that you left me alone and went with the boy in the senior class. You know how Mom always tells us not to be closer to the big boys, right?" Annamaria threatened with an evil smile.

"No, don't tell them! It was him who pulled me away you saw that right sister," Annabelle pleaded, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Okay, then you will give me your pocket money for the next three days, and I will not tell on you," Annamaria said, her smile growing even more sinister. Annabelle reluctantly agreed, fearing the consequences of her parents' anger.

Annabelle silently handed over all her money for the next three days, not daring to complain. That evening, as the family sat around the dinner table, eating and chatting, it seemed like a happy family. But little did they know, a storm was brewing.

"Annabelle left me alone the other day and ran off with a boy from grade five," Annamaria suddenly blurted out, causing their mother to choke on her water.

"What are you saying, Annamaria?" their mother asked, coughing. "You heard me, Mom! Don't pretend now!" Annamaria replied, her voice filled with indifference.

Their mother turned to confront Annabelle, her eyes filled with confusion and disappointment. "What is she talking about?" she asked, raising her brow.

"He just called me to ask me something, Mom," Annabelle replied, tears streaming down her face. "Don't cry, baby. Just tell me what it is that he wanted to ask," their mother urged, her voice filled with concern.

Annabelle hesitated, her heart torn between protecting her sister and telling the truth. "Mom, I..." she began, but her voice trailed off.

"She can't even talk! What a daughter you have, Mom. Let me be the elder one, please," Annamaria interjected, taking advantage of the situation.

"No, Maria. Your sister said she didn't do anything with the boy, so don't do that to her besides nothing can change the fact that you where born second all the same we love you both," their mother said firmly, knowing that Annabelle was a good girl. She turned to Annabelle, her voice softening. "If anyone is inappropriate to you, tell the elder person, okay?" she advised, hoping to instill confidence in her daughter.

Annabelle nodded, wiping away her tears, and quietly excused herself to go to bed. As she lay there, she hoped that one day her sister would become a good person again. But with each passing day, Annamaria's heart grew colder.

One day, as the sisters were walking home from school, they witnessed a heartbreaking scene. A young boy, selling sweets, tripped and fell, causing bottles of cooking oil to shatter. The furious shop owner began berating the boy, threatening to call the police if he didn't pay for the damages.

Filled with empathy, Annabelle rushed to the woman's side. "Excuse me, ma'am," she said politely, trying to diffuse the situation. The woman glared at her, anger evident in her eyes. "And who are you?" she snapped.

"I'm John's sister," Annabelle replied, hoping her lie would help. The woman looked confused. "Who is John, little girl?" she asked, still not understanding.

"John is the boy you're insulting. He's my brother. If I can borrow me your phone, my dad will pay for the damages. He just wants to make extra money for his special studies. Just call Daddy, and he will explain," Annabelle fabricated, taking off her bag and retrieving her diary.

The woman reluctantly handed over her phone, and Annabelle dialed the number labeled "Father." Annamaria watched from a distance, certain that her sister would get into trouble for this, "kind but stupid" she said with an evil smile.

"Hello, Dad. Can you come to the market near our school, please? I need your help with something urgent," Annabelle pleaded, her voice filled with innocence. Her father, sensing the urgency, dropped everything and rushed to her aid.

"What's wrong, my baby girl?" he asked, kneeling down to check on her.

"Daddy, it's not me who's in trouble. It's brother John. He accidentally spilled cooking oil in this woman's shop, and she wants to take him to the police. Can you help? I promise to help you with work and pay for the money you will lose," Annabelle explained, her eyes pleading.

"No problem, baby. After all, John is your brother. I will take care of it," her father reassured her, a smile spreading across his face. The onlookers couldn't help but gossip about the kind-heartedness of the twins' father.

The twins father took the three to a restaurant to have lunch but the boy was still looking sad "what's wrong?" He asked concerned " I need to go home and take care of my father he is sick I don't even know what he has eaten" he answered sadly. "Don't worry I will take you there as soon as you eat and I will buy some food for him" he said kindly and the boy smiled.

Apone reaching home, Johnathan found his father being rushed to the Hospital. Sadly, his father passed away before they could reach the hospital. The twins' father, touched by the boy's plight, offered financial assistance, and Johnathan was taken in by his uncle.

Meanwhile, at the twins' home, their father explained what had happened to their mother. The parents were proud of their little girl for having such a compassionate heart. However, the other twin, consumed by jealousy, hid her true feelings behind a fake smile.

As days turned into weeks, Annabelle's hope for her sister's redemption grew stronger. She longed for the day when Annamaria would find goodness in her heart once again. Little did she know that fate had more surprises in store for them all.
